The Righteous Will Never Be Moved

1 ^[1] Praise the Lord! Blessed is the man who fears the Lord, who greatly delights in his commandments! (Ps 1:2; Ps 104:35; Ps 111:10; Ps 115:13; Ps 128:1; Ps 128:4)

2 His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. (Ps 25:13; Ps 37:26; Ps 102:28; Pr 11:21; Pr 20:7)

3 Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever. (Ps 111:3; Pr 3:16) 4 Light dawns in the darkness for the upright; he is gracious, merciful, and righteous. (Job 11:17; Ps 97:11; Mt 1:19) 5 It is well with the man who deals generously and lends; who conducts his affairs with justice. (Ps 37:26) 6 For the righteous will never be moved; he will be remembered forever. (Ps 55:22; Pr 10:7) 7 He is not afraid of bad news; his heart is firm, trusting in the Lord. 8 His heart is steady;^[2] he will not be afraid, until he looks in triumph on his adversaries. 9 He has distributed freely; he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn is exalted in honor. 1 Hallelujah! Wohl dem, der den HERRN fürchtet, der große Freude hat an seinen Geboten! (Ps 1:2; Ec 7:18) 2 Sein Same wird gewaltig sein auf Erden; das Geschlecht der Aufrichtigen wird gesegnet sein.
