Psalm 76

1 To the choirmaster: with stringed instruments. A Psalm of Asaph. A Song. In Judah God is known; his name is great in Israel. (Ps 4:1; Ps 48:3; Ps 50:1) 2 His abode has been established in Salem, his dwelling place in Zion. (Ge 14:18; Ps 9:11; Ps 27:5; Ps 74:2; La 2:6) 3 There he broke the flashing arrows, the shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. (Ps 46:9; Eze 39:9) 4 Glorious are you, more majestic than the mountains full of prey. (Isa 14:25; Eze 39:4; Na 2:13) 5 The stouthearted were stripped of their spoil; they sank into sleep; all the men of war were unable to use their hands. (2Ki 19:35; Ps 13:3; Isa 46:12; Jer 51:39; Na 3:18) 6 At your rebuke, O God of Jacob, both rider and horse lay stunned. (Ex 15:1; Ex 15:21) 7 But you, you are to be feared! Who can stand before you when once your anger is roused? (Ps 47:2; Ps 130:3) 8 From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still, (2Ch 20:29; Hab 2:20) 9 when God arose to establish judgment, to save all the humble of the earth. (Ps 9:7) 10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant[1] of wrath you will put on like a belt. (Ex 9:16) 11 Make your vows to the Lord your God and perform them; let all around him bring gifts to him who is to be feared, (Ge 31:42; Ge 31:53; Ps 50:14; Ps 68:29; Ps 89:7; Isa 8:13) 12 who cuts off the spirit of princes, who is to be feared by the kings of the earth. (Ps 47:2; Isa 18:5)

1 خدا در سرزمين يهودا معروف است! نام او در اسرائيل مشهور است! 2 خانهٔ خدا در اورشليم است. او در كوه صهيون مسكن دارد. 3 در آنجا او تير و كمان دشمن را شكست و شمشير و سپر جنگی او را خرد كرد. 4 خداوندا، تو عظيمتر و پرشكوهتر از تمام کوههای بلند هستی! 5 دشمنان نيرومند ما غارت شده، به خواب مرگ فرو رفتند. ديگر هيچكس نمیتواند دست خود را بر ضد ما بلند كند. 6 ای خدای يعقوب، وقتی تو آنها را نهيب زدی، عرابهها و اسبانشان سرجای خود خشک شدند. 7 خداوندا، تو بسيار مهيب هستی! وقتی غضبناک میشوی، كيست كه تواند در حضورت بايستد؟ 8-9 وقتی تو از آسمان داوری خود را اعلام نمودی و برای رهايی مظلومان اقدام كردی، جهان ترسيد و سكوت نمود. 10 خشم انسان جز اينكه منجر به ستايش تو شود، نتيجهٔ ديگری ندارد؛ تو خشم او را مهار میكنی و از آن برای نماياندن قدرت خود استفاده مینمايی. 11 آنچه را برای خدا نذر كردهايد بجا آوريد. ای همسايگان اسرائيل، برای خداوندی كه عظيم و مهيب است، هدايا بياوريد. 12 او حاكمان مغرور را نابود میكند و در دل پادشاهان جهان وحشت ايجاد مینمايد.
