Ascribe to the Lord Glory

A Psalm of David.

1 Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. (1Ch 16:28; 1Ch 16:29; Ps 68:34; Ps 96:7; Ps 96:8) 

2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness. (Ex 28:2; 1Ch 16:29; Ps 110:3) 

3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over many waters. (Job 37:4; Job 37:5; Ps 18:11) 

4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. (Ps 68:33) 

5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon. (Jud 9:15; Ps 104:16) 

6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox. (Nu 23:22; De 3:9; Ps 114:4; Ps 114:6) 

7 The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire. 

8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. (Nu 13:26) 

9 The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth and strips the forests bare, and in his temple all cry, “Glory!” (Job 39:1) 

10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as king forever. (Ge 6:17; Ps 10:16) 

11 May the LORD give strength to his people! May the LORD bless his people with peace! (Ps 68:35; Isa 40:29; Php 4:7)

1 Tributen al Señor, seres celestiales, tributen al Señor la gloria y el poder. 

2 Tributen al Señor la gloria que merece su nombre; póstrense ante el Señor en su santuario majestuoso. 

3 La voz del Señor está sobre las aguas; resuena el trueno del Dios de la gloria; el Señor está sobre las aguas impetuosas. 

4 La voz del Señor resuena potente; la voz del Señor resuena majestuosa. 

5 La voz del Señor desgaja los cedros, desgaja el Señor los cedros del Líbano; 

6 hace que el Líbano salte como becerro, y que el Hermón salte cual toro salvaje. 

7 La voz del Señor lanza ráfagas de fuego; 

8 la voz del Señor sacude al desierto; el Señor sacude al desierto de Cades. 

9 La voz del Señor retuerce los robles y deja desnudos los bosques; en su templo todos gritan: «¡Gloria!» 

10 El Señor tiene su trono sobre las lluvias; el Señor reina por siempre. 

11 El Señor fortalece a su pueblo; el Señor bendice a su pueblo con la paz.
