(Ps 17:2; Ps 102:13; Da 8:19; Hab 2:3)3When the earth totters, and all its inhabitants, it is I who keep steady its pillars. (1Sa 2:8; Isa 24:19)4I say to the boastful, ‘Do not boast,’ and to the wicked, ‘Do not lift up your horn; (Ps 75:10; Zec 1:21)5do not lift up your horn on high, or speak with haughty neck.’”6For not from the east or from the west and not from the wilderness comes lifting up, (Ps 3:3)7but it is God who executes judgment, putting down one and lifting up another. (1Sa 2:7; Ps 50:6; Da 2:21)8For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup with foaming wine, well mixed, and he pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth shall drain it down to the dregs. (Job 21:20; Ps 11:6; Ps 73:10; Pr 23:30)9But I will declare it forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.10All the horns of the wicked I will cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be lifted up. 1Ție Îți aducem mulțumire, Dumnezeule, Îți aducem mulțumire căci Numele Tău este aproape, astfel că oamenii mărturisesc minunile Tale!2„Când voi hotărî că a sosit vremea, Eu, zice Domnul, voi judeca cu nepărtinire!3Când lumea se clatină, cu toți locuitorii ei, Eu sunt Cel Care îi întăresc stâlpii.“ Selah4Le‑am zis lăudăroșilor: „Nu vă lăudați!“, iar celor răi: „Nu ridicați cornul!“[1] (Ps 18:2)5Nu vă ridicați cornul în înălțime și nu vorbiți cu atâta trufie,6căci nici de la răsărit, nici de la apus și nici din pustie nu vine înălțarea,7ci Dumnezeu este Cel Ce judecă! El coboară și tot El înalță!8Căci în mâna DOMNULUI se află un potir; vinul spumegă în el, complet amestecat[2]. Când El varsă din potir, toți cei răi de pe pământ îi beau până și drojdiile.9Eu însă voi vesti pururi aceste lucruri; voi cânta spre lauda Dumnezeului lui Iacov!10Voi tăia toate coarnele celor răi, dar coarnele celui drept vor fi înălțate.
