(Job 16:4; Job 17:6; Jer 24:9)15All day long my disgrace is before me, and shame has covered my face (2Ch 32:21)16at the sound of the taunter and reviler, at the sight of the enemy and the avenger. (Ps 8:2)17All this has come upon us, though we have not forgotten you, and we have not been false to your covenant. (Da 9:13)18Our heart has not turned back, nor have our steps departed from your way; (Job 23:11; Ps 37:31; Ps 119:51; Ps 119:157)19yet you have broken us in the place of jackals and covered us with the shadow of death. (Ps 44:11; Ro 8:36)23Awake! Why are you sleeping, O Lord? Rouse yourself! Do not reject us forever! (Ps 35:23; Ps 44:9)24Why do you hide your face? Why do you forget our affliction and oppression? (Job 13:24)25For our soul is bowed down to the dust; our belly clings to the ground. (Ps 119:25)26Rise up; come to our help! Redeem us for the sake of your steadfast love! (Ps 25:22; Ps 63:7)
1Dumnezeule, am auzit cu urechile noastre, părinții noștri ne‑au istorisit despre lucrarea pe care ai înfăptuit‑o în zilele lor, în zilele de odinioară.[1] (Ps 32:1)2Tu, prin brațul Tău, ai alungat neamuri, ca să‑i plantezi pe ei; ai lovit noroade, ca să‑i extinzi pe ei.3Căci nu prin sabia lor au luat în stăpânire țara și nu brațul lor i‑a izbăvit, ci dreapta Ta, brațul Tău, lumina feței Tale, fiindcă Îți găseai plăcerea în ei.4Dumnezeule, Tu ești Împăratul meu! Poruncește dar izbăvirea lui Iacov!5Cu Tine ne doborâm vrăjmașii, prin Numele Tău îi vom călca în picioare pe cei ce se ridică împotriva noastră.6Nu mă încred în arcul meu, sabia mea nu mă izbăvește,7ci Tu ne izbăvești de vrăjmașii noștri și îi faci de rușine!8Noi în Dumnezeu ne lăudăm toată ziua; Numelui Tău îi vom aduce mulțumiri pe vecie. Selah9Totuși, Tu ne‑ai respins și ne‑ai umilit, nu mai ieși cu oștirile noastre.10Tu ai făcut să ne retragem dinaintea vrăjmașului, astfel că cei ce ne urăsc ne jefuiesc.11Ne dai ca pe niște oi la tăiere, ne împrăștii printre neamuri.12Îți vinzi poporul pe un preț de nimic și nu câștigi nimic prin vânzarea lui.13Ne faci de ocara vecinilor noștri, de ocară și dispreț pentru cei din jurul nostru.14Ne faci o pildă printre neamuri, o clătinare din cap printre popoare.15Toată ziua disprețul îmi stă înainte și rușinea îmi acoperă fața,16la glasul batjocoritorului și al blasfemiatorului, la vederea dușmanului și a răzbunătorului.17Toate acestea au venit asupra noastră, dar[2] noi nu Te‑am uitat și nu am trădat legământul Tău.18Inima noastră nu Ți‑a întors spatele, și pașii noștri nu s‑au îndepărtat de calea Ta.19Tu însă ne‑ai zdrobit în locul de vânătoare al șacalilor și ne‑ai acoperit cu umbra morții.20Dacă am fi uitat Numele Dumnezeului nostru și ne‑am fi întins palmele spre vreun dumnezeu străin,21n‑ar fi descoperit Dumnezeu aceasta? Doar El cunoaște toate tainele inimii.22Totuși, din pricina Ta suntem dați morții toată ziua, suntem considerați ca niște oi pentru tăiere.23Scoală‑Te! De ce dormi, Stăpâne? Trezește‑Te, nu ne lepăda pe vecie!24De ce Îți ascunzi fața, de ce ne uiți suferința și asuprirea?25Căci sufletul nostru este doborât în țărână, pântecul ne este lipit de pământ!26Ridică‑Te și vino în ajutorul nostru! Răscumpără‑ne, datorită îndurării Tale!
