6 For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings^[2] is like the Lord, (Ps 86:8; Ps 89:8) 7 a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones, and awesome above all who are around him? 28 My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm^[4] for him. (Ps 89:3) 29 I will establish his offspring forever and his throne as the days of the heavens. 1 I will sing of the Lord’s great love for ever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.^[1] 2 I will declare that your love stands firm for ever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself. 3 You said, ‘I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant, 4 “I will establish your line for ever and make your throne firm through all generations.” ’^[2] 5 The heavens praise your wonders, Lord, your faithfulness too, in the assembly of the holy ones. 6 For who in the skies above can compare with the Lord? Who is like the Lord among the heavenly beings? 7 In the council of the holy ones God is greatly feared; he is more awesome than all who surround him. 8 Who is like you, Lord God Almighty? When your holy angels gather together, they praise you for how faithful you are. 6 Who in the skies above can compare with the LORD? Who among the angels is like the LORD? 7 God is highly respected among his holy angels. He’s more wonderful than all those who are around him. 8 LORD God who rules over all, who is like you? I have raised up a young man from among the people. 20 I have found my servant David. I have poured my sacred oil on his head. 21 My powerful hand will keep him going. I will completely destroy them. 24 I will love him and be faithful to him. Because of me his power will increase. 25 I will give him a great kingdom.
