Deliver Me, O Lord

A Song of Ascents.

1 In my distress I called to the LORD, and he answered me. 2 Deliver me, O LORD, from lying lips, from a deceitful tongue. 3 What shall be given to you, and what more shall be done to you, you deceitful tongue? (1Sa 3:17) 4 A warrior’s sharp arrows, with glowing coals of the broom tree! (Ps 45:5; Ps 127:4; Ps 140:10; Pr 25:22; Jer 50:9)

تَرْنِيمَةُ الْمَصَاعِدِ

1 صَرَخْتُ إِلَى الرَّبِّ فِي ضِيقِي فَاسْتَجَابَ لِي. 2 نَجِّ نَفْسِي يَا رَبُّ مِنَ الشِّفَاهِ الْكَاذِبَةِ وَاللِّسَانِ الْمُنَافِقِ. 3 أَيُّ نَفْعٍ يَأْتِينِي مِنَ اللِّسَانِ الغَشَّاشِ؟ 4 إِنَّهُ كَسِهَامِ الْجَبَّارِ الحَادَّةِ وَكَالْجَمْرِ الأَحْمَرِ الْمُلْتَهِبِ. 5 وَيْلِي لأَنِّي تَغَرَّبْتُ فِي مَاشِكَ، وَسَكَنْتُ فِي خِيَامِ قِيدَارَ. 6 طَالَ سَكَنِي مَعَ أُنَاسٍ يُبْغِضُونَ السَّلامَ. 7 أَنَا رَجُلُ سَلامٍ، وَكُلَّمَا دَعَوْتُ إِلَيْهِ هَبُّوا هُمْ لِلْحَرْبِ.
