1Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key to the bottomless pit[1] and a great chain. (Re 1:18; Re 9:1)2And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, (2Pe 2:4; Jud 1:6; Re 12:9)3and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he might not deceive the nations any longer, until the thousand years were ended. After that he must be released for a little while. (Da 6:17; Mt 27:66; Re 20:1; Re 20:8; Re 20:10)4Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. (Ps 45:16; Da 7:9; Da 7:18; Da 7:22; Mt 19:28; Mt 20:21; Mt 20:27; Joh 14:19; 2Ti 2:11; 2Ti 2:12; Re 3:21; Re 5:10; Re 6:9; Re 13:12; Re 13:14; Re 20:6; Re 22:5)5The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.6Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years. (Re 1:6; Re 2:11; Re 14:13; Re 20:4; Re 20:14; Re 21:8)
The Defeat of Satan
7And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison (Re 20:2)8and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. (Eze 38:2; Eze 39:1; Re 16:14; Re 20:3; Re 20:10)9And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven[2] and consumed them, (Ps 132:13; Isa 8:8; Eze 38:9; Eze 38:16; Hab 1:6; Heb 13:11; Heb 13:13; Re 13:13)10and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. (Re 16:13; Re 19:20; Re 20:3; Re 20:8)
Judgment Before the Great White Throne
11Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. (Ps 102:26; Da 2:35; Re 12:8)12And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. (Da 7:10; Mt 16:27; Ro 14:10; 2Co 5:10; Re 3:5; Re 11:18)13And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. (Re 6:8; Re 20:12)14Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. (Lu 20:36; 1Co 15:26; Re 20:6; Re 20:13; Re 21:4)15And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. (Mt 13:42; Mt 13:50)

(Re 9:1)2Und er ergriff den Drachen, die alte Schlange, das ist der Teufel und der Satan, und fesselte ihn für tausend Jahre (Re 12:9)3und warf ihn in den Abgrund und verschloss ihn und setzte ein Siegel oben darauf, damit er die Völker nicht mehr verführen sollte, bis vollendet würden die tausend Jahre. Danach muss er losgelassen werden eine kleine Zeit.4Und ich sah Throne und sie setzten sich darauf, und ihnen wurde das Gericht übergeben. Und ich sah die Seelen derer, die enthauptet waren um des Zeugnisses für Jesus und um des Wortes Gottes willen und die nicht angebetet hatten das Tier und sein Bild und die sein Zeichen nicht angenommen hatten an ihre Stirn und auf ihre Hand; diese wurden lebendig und regierten mit Christus tausend Jahre. (Mt 19:28; 1Co 6:2; Re 3:21; Re 6:9)5Die andern Toten aber wurden nicht lebendig, bis die tausend Jahre vollendet wurden. Dies ist die erste Auferstehung. (1Th 4:16)6Selig ist der und heilig, der teilhat an der ersten Auferstehung. Über diese hat der zweite Tod keine Macht; sondern sie werden Priester Gottes und Christi sein und mit ihm regieren tausend Jahre.
Der letzte Kampf
7Und wenn die tausend Jahre vollendet sind, wird der Satan losgelassen werden aus seinem Gefängnis8und wird ausziehen, zu verführen die Völker an den vier Enden der Erde, Gog und Magog, und sie zum Kampf zu versammeln; deren Zahl ist wie der Sand am Meer. (Eze 38:2)9Und sie stiegen herauf auf die Ebene der Erde und umringten das Heerlager der Heiligen und die geliebte Stadt. Und es fiel Feuer vom Himmel und verzehrte sie. (Ps 87:2; Re 11:5)10Und der Teufel, der sie verführte, wurde geworfen in den Pfuhl von Feuer und Schwefel, wo auch das Tier und der falsche Prophet waren; und sie werden gequält werden Tag und Nacht, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit. (Re 19:20)
Das Weltgericht
11Und ich sah einen großen, weißen Thron und den, der darauf saß; vor seinem Angesicht flohen die Erde und der Himmel, und es wurde keine Stätte für sie gefunden. (Ps 102:27; Mt 25:31; 2Pe 3:7; Re 4:2)12Und ich sah die Toten, Groß und Klein, stehen vor dem Thron, und Bücher wurden aufgetan. Und ein andres Buch wurde aufgetan, welches ist das Buch des Lebens. Und die Toten wurden gerichtet nach dem, was in den Büchern geschrieben steht, nach ihren Werken. (Da 7:10; Da 12:1)13Und das Meer gab die Toten heraus, die darin waren, und der Tod und die Hölle gaben die Toten heraus, die darin waren; und sie wurden gerichtet, ein jeder nach seinen Werken.14Und der Tod und die Hölle wurden geworfen in den feurigen Pfuhl. Das ist der zweite Tod: der feurige Pfuhl. (1Co 15:26; 1Co 15:54)15Und wenn jemand nicht gefunden wurde geschrieben in dem Buch des Lebens, der wurde geworfen in den feurigen Pfuhl.
