1There was a man of the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Micah. (Jos 24:33; Jud 17:8; Jud 18:2)2And he said to his mother, “The 1,100 pieces of silver that were taken from you, about which you uttered a curse, and also spoke it in my ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it.” And his mother said, “Blessed be my son by the Lord.” (Ru 3:10; 1Sa 15:13)3And he restored the 1,100 pieces of silver to his mother. And his mother said, “I dedicate the silver to the Lord from my hand for my son, to make a carved image and a metal image. Now therefore I will restore it to you.” (Ex 20:4; Le 19:4)4So when he restored the money to his mother, his mother took 200 pieces of silver and gave it to the silversmith, who made it into a carved image and a metal image. And it was in the house of Micah. (Isa 46:6)5And the man Micah had a shrine, and he made an ephod and household gods, and ordained[1] one of his sons, who became his priest. (Ge 31:19; Ex 28:6; Jud 8:27; Jud 17:12; Jud 18:14; Jud 18:17; 1Ki 13:33; Ho 3:4)6In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes. (De 12:8; Jud 18:1; Jud 19:1; Jud 21:25)7Now there was a young man of Bethlehem in Judah, of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there. (Jud 19:1; Ru 1:1; Mic 5:2; Mt 2:1; Mt 2:5)8And the man departed from the town of Bethlehem in Judah to sojourn where he could find a place. And as he journeyed, he came to the hill country of Ephraim to the house of Micah. (Jos 24:33)9And Micah said to him, “Where do you come from?” And he said to him, “I am a Levite of Bethlehem in Judah, and I am going to sojourn where I may find a place.”10And Micah said to him, “Stay with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year and a suit of clothes and your living.” And the Levite went in. (Jud 18:19)11And the Levite was content to dwell with the man, and the young man became to him like one of his sons. (Ex 2:21)12And Micah ordained the Levite, and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah. (Jud 17:5; Jud 18:30)13Then Micah said, “Now I know that the Lord will prosper me, because I have a Levite as priest.”
1Es war ein Mann auf dem Gebirge Ephraim mit Namen Micha.2Der sprach zu seiner Mutter: Die tausendeinhundert Silberstücke, die dir genommen worden sind und derenthalben du den Fluch gesprochen und ihn auch vor meinen eigenen Ohren gesagt hast – siehe, dies Geld ist bei mir; ich selbst hab’s genommen. Da sprach seine Mutter: Gesegnet seist du, mein Sohn, vom HERRN! (Le 5:1; Pr 29:24)3So gab er seiner Mutter die tausendeinhundert Silberstücke zurück. Und seine Mutter sprach: Ich weihe nun das Geld dem HERRN, aus meiner Hand für meinen Sohn, damit man ein geschnitztes und gegossenes Bild davon machen soll. Darum gebe ich’s dir nun wieder. (De 27:15)4Aber er gab seiner Mutter das Geld zurück. Da nahm seine Mutter zweihundert Silberstücke und gab sie dem Goldschmied; der machte ein geschnitztes und gegossenes Bild daraus; das kam danach in das Haus Michas.5Der Mann Micha hatte nämlich ein Gotteshaus und machte einen Efod und einen Hausgott und füllte einem seiner Söhne die Hand, sodass er sein Priester wurde. (Ge 31:19; Ex 28:41; Jud 8:27)6Zu der Zeit war kein König in Israel, und jeder tat, was ihn recht dünkte. (De 12:8; Jud 18:1; Jud 19:1; Jud 21:25)7Es war aber ein junger Mann von Bethlehem in Juda aus dem Geschlecht Judas; der war ein Levit und war dort fremd. (De 18:6; Jud 18:3; Jud 19:1)8Er zog aber aus der Stadt Bethlehem in Juda, um einen Ort zu finden, wo er bleiben konnte. Als er so seines Weges zog, kam er aufs Gebirge Ephraim zum Hause Michas.9Da fragte ihn Micha: Wo kommst du her? Er antwortete ihm: Ich bin ein Levit aus Bethlehem in Juda und wandere, um einen Ort zu finden, wo ich bleiben kann.10Micha sprach zu ihm: Bleibe bei mir, du sollst mir Vater und Priester sein. Ich will dir jährlich zehn Silberstücke geben und was du an Kleidung und Nahrung brauchst. Und der Levit ging hinein11und willigte ein, bei dem Mann zu bleiben; und er war für ihn wie ein Sohn.12Und Micha füllte dem Leviten die Hand, dass er sein Priester wurde, und so war er im Haus Michas. (Ex 28:41)13Und Micha sprach: Nun weiß ich, dass mir der HERR wohltun wird, weil ich einen Leviten zum Priester habe.
