(Re 14:13)11Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. (Heb 3:12)12For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. Jesus the Great High Priest
14Since then we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. (Eph 4:10; Heb 2:17; Heb 10:21; Heb 10:23)15For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. (Isa 53:3; Joh 8:46; Joh 14:30; Heb 4:14; Heb 5:2; Heb 7:26; Heb 9:28; 1Pe 2:22; 1Jo 3:5)16Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Eph 3:12; Heb 7:19; Heb 7:25; Heb 10:19)
1So lasst uns nun mit Furcht darauf achten, dass keiner von euch zurückbleibe, solange die Verheißung noch besteht, dass wir in seine Ruhe eingehen.2Denn es ist auch uns verkündigt wie jenen. Aber das Wort, das sie hörten, half jenen nichts, weil sie nicht im Glauben vereint waren mit denen, die es hörten.3Denn wir, die wir glauben, gehen ein in die Ruhe, wie er gesprochen hat: »Ich schwor in meinem Zorn: Sie sollen nicht in meine Ruhe eingehen.« Nun waren ja die Werke von Anbeginn der Welt gemacht; (Heb 3:11)4denn so hat er an einer andern Stelle gesprochen vom siebenten Tag: »Und Gott ruhte am siebenten Tag von allen seinen Werken.« (Ge 2:2)5Doch an dieser Stelle wiederum: »Sie sollen nicht in meine Ruhe eingehen.«6Da es nun bestehen bleibt, dass einige in sie eingehen sollen, und die, denen es zuerst verkündigt ist, nicht hineingekommen sind wegen des Ungehorsams,7bestimmt er abermals einen Tag, ein »Heute«, und spricht nach so langer Zeit durch David, wie eben gesagt: »Heute, wenn ihr seine Stimme hört, so verstockt eure Herzen nicht.« (Heb 3:7)8Denn wenn Josua sie zur Ruhe gebracht hätte, wäre hernach nicht von einem andern Tag die Rede. (De 31:7; Jos 22:4)9Es ist also noch eine Ruhe vorhanden für das Volk Gottes.10Denn wer in seine Ruhe eingegangen ist, der ruht auch von seinen Werken so wie Gott von den seinen. (Re 14:13)11So lasst uns nun bemüht sein, in diese Ruhe einzugehen, damit nicht jemand zu Fall komme wie in diesem Beispiel des Ungehorsams. (Heb 3:18)12Denn das Wort Gottes ist lebendig und kräftig und schärfer als jedes zweischneidige Schwert und dringt durch, bis es scheidet Seele und Geist, auch Mark und Bein, und ist ein Richter der Gedanken und Sinne des Herzens. (Jud 3:20; Jer 11:20)13Und kein Geschöpf ist vor ihm verborgen, sondern es ist alles bloß und aufgedeckt vor den Augen dessen, dem wir Rechenschaft geben müssen. (Lu 16:2)
Christus der große Hohepriester
14Weil wir denn einen großen Hohenpriester haben, Jesus, den Sohn Gottes, der die Himmel durchschritten hat, so lasst uns festhalten an dem Bekenntnis. (Heb 3:1; Heb 9:11; Heb 10:23)15Denn wir haben nicht einen Hohenpriester, der nicht könnte mit leiden mit unserer Schwachheit, sondern der versucht worden ist in allem wie wir, doch ohne Sünde. (Joh 8:46; Heb 2:18)16Darum lasst uns freimütig hinzutreten zu dem Thron der Gnade, auf dass wir Barmherzigkeit empfangen und Gnade finden und so Hilfe erfahren zur rechten Zeit. (Heb 10:35)
