1An oracle concerning Egypt. Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud and comes to Egypt; and the idols of Egypt will tremble at his presence, and the heart of the Egyptians will melt within them. (Ex 12:12; Jos 2:11; 1Sa 5:3; Ps 18:10; Ps 104:3; Isa 13:1; Isa 13:7; Jer 43:12; Jer 46:13; Jer 50:2; Eze 29:1; Eze 31:18; Joe 3:19; Mt 26:64; Re 1:7)2And I will stir up Egyptians against Egyptians, and they will fight, each against another and each against his neighbor, city against city, kingdom against kingdom; (Jud 7:22)3and the spirit of the Egyptians within them will be emptied out, and I will confound[1] their counsel; and they will inquire of the idols and the sorcerers, and the mediums and the necromancers; (Isa 8:19; Isa 19:11)4and I will give over the Egyptians into the hand of a hard master, and a fierce king will rule over them, declares the Lord God of hosts. (Isa 20:4; Jer 46:26; Eze 29:19)5And the waters of the sea will be dried up, and the river will be dry and parched,6and its canals will become foul, and the branches of Egypt’s Nile will diminish and dry up, reeds and rushes will rot away.7There will be bare places by the Nile, on the brink of the Nile, and all that is sown by the Nile will be parched, will be driven away, and will be no more.8The fishermen will mourn and lament, all who cast a hook in the Nile; and they will languish who spread nets on the water. (Nu 11:5)9The workers in combed flax will be in despair, and the weavers of white cotton. (Eze 27:7)10Those who are the pillars of the land will be crushed, and all who work for pay will be grieved. (Jer 46:21; Ga 2:9)11The princes of Zoan are utterly foolish; the wisest counselors of Pharaoh give stupid counsel. How can you say to Pharaoh, “I am a son of the wise, a son of ancient kings”? (Nu 13:22; Ps 78:43; Isa 30:4)12Where then are your wise men? Let them tell you that they might know what the Lord of hosts has purposed against Egypt. (1Ki 4:30; Ac 7:22)13The princes of Zoan have become fools, and the princes of Memphis are deluded; those who are the cornerstones of her tribes have made Egypt stagger. (Isa 19:11; Jer 2:16; Jer 44:1; Jer 46:14; Jer 46:19; Eze 30:13; Eze 30:16; Zec 10:4)14The Lord has mingled within her a spirit of confusion, and they will make Egypt stagger in all its deeds, as a drunken man staggers in his vomit. (1Ki 22:22; Isa 24:20; Isa 29:9)15And there will be nothing for Egypt that head or tail, palm branch or reed, may do. (Isa 9:14)
Egypt, Assyria, Israel Blessed
16In that day the Egyptians will be like women, and tremble with fear before the hand that the Lord of hosts shakes over them. (Isa 10:32; Jer 50:37; Jer 51:30; Na 3:13)17And the land of Judah will become a terror to the Egyptians. Everyone to whom it is mentioned will fear because of the purpose that the Lord of hosts has purposed against them.18In that day there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan and swear allegiance to the Lord of hosts. One of these will be called the City of Destruction.[2] (2Ki 7:13; Isa 19:21; Isa 30:17; Zep 3:9)19In that day there will be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to the Lord at its border. (Ge 28:18; 2Ki 5:17)20It will be a sign and a witness to the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt. When they cry to the Lord because of oppressors, he will send them a savior and defender, and deliver them. (Isa 19:19; Ob 1:21)21And the Lord will make himself known to the Egyptians, and the Egyptians will know the Lord in that day and worship with sacrifice and offering, and they will make vows to the Lord and perform them. (Isa 2:2; Isa 19:25; Zec 14:16)22And the Lord will strike Egypt, striking and healing, and they will return to the Lord, and he will listen to their pleas for mercy and heal them. (Jer 46:25)23In that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and Assyria will come into Egypt, and Egypt into Assyria, and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians. (Isa 11:16; Isa 19:18; Isa 19:21; Zep 3:9)24In that day Israel will be the third with Egypt and Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth, (Ge 12:2)25whom the Lord of hosts has blessed, saying, “Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance.” (De 32:9; Isa 29:23; Ho 2:23)

Wie könnt ihr zum Pharao sagen: »Ich bin ein Sohn von Weisen und komme von Königen der Vorzeit her«?12Wo sind denn nun deine Weisen, dass sie dir’s verkündigen und anzeigen, was der HERR Zebaoth über Ägypten beschlossen hat?13Die Fürsten von Zoan sind zu Toren geworden, die Fürsten von Memphis sind betrogen; die Häupter seiner Geschlechter lassen Ägypten taumeln.14Denn der HERR hat einen Taumelgeist unter sie ausgegossen, dass sie Ägypten taumeln machen in all seinem Tun, wie ein Trunkenbold taumelt, wenn er speit.15Und Ägypten wird nichts gelingen, was Kopf oder Schwanz, Ast oder Stumpf ausrichten wollen. Gottes Plan für Ägypten
16Zu der Zeit werden die Ägypter sein wie Weiber und sich fürchten und erschrecken, wenn der HERR Zebaoth die Hand gegen sie ausstreckt.17Und die Ägypter werden sich fürchten vor dem Lande Juda; sooft man es erwähnt, werden sie erschrecken vor dem Ratschluss des HERRN Zebaoth, den er über sie beschlossen hat.18Zu der Zeit werden fünf Städte in Ägyptenland die Sprache Kanaans sprechen und bei dem HERRN Zebaoth schwören. Eine wird heißen Ir-Heres[2]. (Isa 65:16; Jer 12:16)19Zu der Zeit wird für den HERRN ein Altar mitten in Ägyptenland sein und ein Steinmal für den HERRN an seiner Grenze;20das wird ein Zeichen und Zeugnis sein für den HERRN Zebaoth in Ägyptenland. Wenn sie zum HERRN schreien vor den Bedrängern, so wird er ihnen einen Retter senden; der wird ihre Sache führen und sie erretten.21Und der HERR wird den Ägyptern bekannt werden, und die Ägypter werden den HERRN erkennen zu der Zeit und werden ihm dienen mit Schlachtopfern und Speisopfern und werden dem HERRN Gelübde ablegen und sie halten. (Isa 66:19)22Und der HERR wird die Ägypter schlagen und heilen; und sie werden sich bekehren zum HERRN, und er wird sich von ihnen bitten lassen und sie heilen.23Zu der Zeit wird eine Straße sein von Ägypten nach Assyrien, dass die Assyrer nach Ägypten und die Ägypter nach Assyrien kommen, und die Ägypter samt den Assyrern werden dem Herrn dienen.24Zu der Zeit wird Israel der Dritte sein mit Ägypten und Assyrien, ein Segen mitten auf Erden; (Ge 12:2; Zec 8:13; Ro 15:10)25denn der HERR Zebaoth wird sie segnen und sprechen: Gesegnet bist du, Ägypten, mein Volk, und du, Assur, meiner Hände Werk, und du, Israel, mein Erbe! (De 4:20; De 32:9; Isa 63:17)

On aura beau consulter les faux dieux et les morts, ceux qui invoquent les esprits et les spirites,4je livrerai l'Egypte entre les mains de maîtres sévères. Un roi cruel dominera sur eux, déclare le Seigneur, l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers.5L'eau de la mer disparaîtra, le fleuve deviendra sec et aride;6les rivières empesteront, le delta de l'Egypte sera bas et desséché, les roseaux et les joncs se flétriront.7Tout le paysage sera nu le long du Nil et à son embouchure; tout ce qui aura été semé sur ses rives se desséchera, se transformera en poussière et disparaîtra.8Les pêcheurs gémiront, tous ceux qui jettent l'hameçon dans le Nil seront dans le deuil, ceux qui étendent des filets à la surface de l'eau dépériront.9Ceux qui travaillent le fin lin et qui tissent des étoffes blanches seront couverts de honte.10Les soutiens du pays seront écrasés, tous les travailleurs salariés seront dans l'abattement.11Les princes de Tsoan sont autant de fous, les sages conseillers du pharaon forment un conseil stupide. Comment pouvez-vous oser dire au pharaon: «Je suis un fils des sages, un descendant des rois du passé»?12Où sont-ils donc, tes sages? Qu'ils te fassent donc des révélations et que l'on découvre quelle décision l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, a prise contre l'Egypte!13Les princes de Tsoan font preuve de folie, les princes de Memphis se bercent d'illusions, ses chefs de tribus égarent l'Egypte.14L'Eternel a déversé au milieu d'elle un esprit de vertige et ils égarent les Egyptiens dans tout ce qu'ils font; ils sont pareils à un homme ivre qui titube en vomissant.15L'Egypte sera incapable de faire quoi que ce soit, du plus important au plus insignifiant, du sommet au bas de la société.16Ce jour-là, l'Egypte sera pareille à des femmelettes: elle sera terrifiée, elle tremblera de peur en voyant l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, brandir sa main et la lever contre elle.17Le pays de Juda sera une source de terreur pour l'Egypte: dès qu'on le mentionnera devant elle, elle sera saisie de frayeur à cause de la décision que l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, a prise contre elle.18Ce jour-là, il y aura cinq villes en Egypte qui parleront la langue de Canaan et qui prêteront serment par l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers. L'une d'elles sera appelée ville de la destruction.19Ce jour-là, il y aura un autel consacré à l'Eternel au cœur de l'Egypte, et près de la frontière du pays un monument en l'honneur de l'Eternel.20Ce sera un signe et un témoignage pour l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, en Egypte: quand ils crieront à l'Eternel à cause de ceux qui les oppriment, il leur enverra un sauveur, un défenseur qui les délivrera.21Ce jour-là, l'Eternel sera connu des Egyptiens et les Egyptiens connaîtront l'Eternel; ils le serviront avec des sacrifices et des offrandes, ils feront des vœux à l'Eternel et les accompliront.22Ainsi, l'Eternel frappera les Egyptiens. Il les frappera, mais il les guérira et ils se convertiront à lui. Il répondra à leurs prières et les guérira.23Ce jour-là, il y aura une route entre l'Egypte et l'Assyrie. Les Assyriens se rendront en Egypte et les Egyptiens en Assyrie, et les Egyptiens serviront l'Eternel avec les Assyriens.24Ce jour-là, Israël sera le troisième, avec l'Egypte et l'Assyrie, à être une bénédiction pour toute la terre.25L'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, les bénira en disant: «Bénis soient l'Egypte, mon peuple, l'Assyrie, que j'ai créée de mes mains, et Israël, mon héritage!»
