1Why do you boast of evil, O mighty man? The steadfast love of God endures all the day.[1]2Your tongue plots destruction, like a sharp razor, you worker of deceit. (Ps 50:19; Ps 57:4; Ps 101:7)3You love evil more than good, and lying more than speaking what is right. Selah (Jer 9:4; Jer 9:5)4You love all words that devour, O deceitful tongue.5But God will break you down forever; he will snatch and tear you from your tent; he will uproot you from the land of the living. Selah (Ps 27:13; Pr 2:22)6The righteous shall see and fear, and shall laugh at him, saying, (Ps 2:4; Ps 40:3)7“See the man who would not make God his refuge, but trusted in the abundance of his riches and sought refuge in his own destruction!”[2] (Ps 49:6)8But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God. I trust in the steadfast love of God forever and ever. (Ps 1:3; Ps 37:35; Ps 92:12; Ps 92:13; Ps 128:3; Ps 144:12; Jer 11:16; Ho 14:6)9I will thank you forever, because you have done it. Gericht über den Tyrannen – Trost für den Gerechten
1Eine Unterweisung Davids, vorzusingen,2als Doëg, der Edomiter, kam und zeigte es Saul an und sprach: David ist in Ahimelechs Haus gekommen. (1Sa 22:9)3Was rühmst du dich der Bosheit, du Tyrann, da doch Gottes Güte noch täglich währt?4Deine Zunge trachtet nach Schaden wie ein scharfes Schermesser, du Betrüger!5Du liebst das Böse mehr als das Gute und redest lieber Falsches als Rechtes. Sela.6Du redest gern alles, was zum Verderben dient, mit falscher Zunge.7Darum wird dich auch Gott für immer zerstören, / dich zerschlagen und aus deinem Zelte reißen und aus dem Lande der Lebendigen ausrotten. Sela.8Und die Gerechten werden es sehen und sich fürchten und werden seiner lachen: (Ps 91:8)9»Siehe, das ist der Mann, der nicht Gott für seinen Trost hielt, sondern verließ sich auf seinen großen Reichtum und nahm Zuflucht bei seinem verderblichen Tun.«10Ich aber werde bleiben wie ein grünender Ölbaum im Hause Gottes; ich verlasse mich auf Gottes Güte immer und ewig. (Ps 92:13)11Ich danke dir ewiglich, denn du hast es getan. Ich will harren auf deinen Namen vor deinen Heiligen, denn er ist gut.

1Al direttore del coro. Cantico di Davide, quando Doeg l’Edomita venne a riferire a Saul che Davide era entrato in casa di Aimelec. Perché ti vanti del male, uomo prepotente? La bontà di Dio dura per sempre.2La tua lingua medita rovine; essa è simile a un rasoio affilato, o artefice d’inganni.3Tu preferisci il male al bene, mentire piuttosto che dire la verità. [Pausa]4Tu ami ogni parola che causa rovina, o lingua insidiosa!5Perciò Dio ti distruggerà per sempre; ti afferrerà, ti strapperà dalla tua tenda e ti sradicherà dalla terra dei viventi. [Pausa]6I giusti lo vedranno e temeranno, poi rideranno di lui, dicendo:7«Ecco l’uomo che non aveva fatto di Dio la sua fortezza, ma aveva fiducia nell’abbondanza delle sue ricchezze e si faceva forte della sua perversità!»8Ma io sono come un olivo verdeggiante nella casa di Dio; io confido per sempre nella bontà di Dio.9Sempre ti celebrerò per quanto hai fatto e in presenza dei tuoi fedeli spererò nel tuo nome, perché tu sei buono.
