Lead Me in Your Righteousness

To the choirmaster: for the flutes. A Psalm of David.

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD; consider my groaning. (Ps 39:3) 2 Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to you do I pray. (Ps 65:2; Ps 84:3) 3 O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you^[1] and watch. (Ps 88:13; Ps 119:147; Ps 130:6; Hab 2:1)

4 For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you. 5 The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers. (Ps 1:5; Ps 11:5; Ps 73:3; Ps 75:4; Hab 1:13)

6 You destroy those who speak lies; the LORD abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man. (Ps 4:2; Ps 55:23) 7 But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love, will enter your house. I will bow down toward your holy temple in the fear of you. (1Ki 8:29; 1Ki 8:30; Ps 11:4; Ps 79:1; Ps 132:7)

Gebet um Leitung und Bewahrung

1 Ein Psalm Davids, vorzusingen, zum Flötenspiel. 2 HERR, höre meine Worte, merke auf mein Seufzen! 3 Vernimm mein Schreien, mein König und mein Gott; denn ich will zu dir beten. 4 HERR, frühe wollest du meine Stimme hören, frühe will ich mich zu dir wenden und aufmerken. 5 Denn du bist nicht ein Gott, dem Frevel gefällt; wer böse ist, bleibt nicht vor dir. 6 Die Ruhmredigen bestehen nicht vor deinen Augen; du bist feind allen Übeltätern. 7 Du vernichtest die Lügner; dem HERRN sind ein Gräuel die Blutgierigen und Falschen. 8 Ich aber darf in dein Haus gehen durch deine große Güte und anbeten vor deinem heiligen Tempel in deiner Furcht. (Ps 26:8) 9 HERR, leite mich in deiner Gerechtigkeit um meiner Feinde willen; ebne vor mir deinen Weg! 10 Denn in ihrem Munde ist nichts Verlässliches; ihr Inneres ist Bosheit. Ihr Rachen ist ein offenes Grab; mit ihren Zungen heucheln sie. (Ro 3:13) 11 Sprich sie schuldig, Gott, dass sie zu Fall kommen durch ihr Vorhaben. Stoße sie aus um ihrer vielen Übertretungen willen; denn sie sind widerspenstig gegen dich. 12 Lass sich freuen alle, die auf dich trauen; ewiglich lass sie rühmen, denn du beschirmest sie. Fröhlich lass sein in dir, die deinen Namen lieben! 13 Denn du, HERR, segnest die Gerechten, du deckest sie mit Gnade wie mit einem Schilde.

Preghiera contro gli empi

1 Al direttore del coro. Per strumenti a fiato. Salmo di Davide. Porgi l’orecchio alle mie parole, o Signore, sii attento ai miei sospiri. 2 Odi il mio grido d’aiuto, o mio Re e mio Dio, perché a te rivolgo la mia preghiera. 3 O Signore, al mattino tu ascolti la mia voce; al mattino ti offro la mia preghiera e attendo un tuo cenno; 4 poiché tu non sei un Dio che prenda piacere nell’empietà; presso di te il male non trova dimora. 5 Quelli che si vantano non resisteranno davanti agli occhi tuoi; tu detesti tutti gli operatori d’iniquità. 6 Tu farai perire i bugiardi; il Signore disprezza l’uomo sanguinario e disonesto. 7 Ma io, per la tua grande bontà, potrò entrare nella tua casa; rivolto al tuo tempio santo, adorerò con timore. 8 O Signore, guidami con la tua giustizia, a causa dei miei nemici; che io veda diritta davanti a me la tua via, 9 poiché nella loro bocca non c’è sincerità, il loro cuore è pieno di malizia; la loro gola è un sepolcro aperto, lusingano con la loro lingua. 10 Condannali, o Dio! Non riescano nei loro propositi! Scacciali per tutti i loro misfatti, poiché si sono ribellati a te. 11 Si rallegreranno tutti quelli che in te confidano; manderanno grida di gioia per sempre. Tu li proteggerai, e quelli che amano il tuo nome si rallegreranno in te, 12 perché tu, o Signore, benedirai il giusto; come scudo lo circonderai con il tuo favore.
