Psalm 3

English Standard Version

from Crossway
1 O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; (2Sa 15:12; 2Sa 18:31; 2Sa 18:32) 2 many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah[1] (2Sa 16:8; Ps 71:11) 3 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Ge 15:1; Job 1:10; Job 10:15; Ps 27:5; Ps 27:6; Ps 28:7; Ps 84:9; Ps 119:114) 4 I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah (Ps 2:6; Ps 6:8; Ps 34:4; Ps 34:6; Ps 60:5; Ps 77:1; Ps 108:6; Ps 142:1) 5 I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. (Le 26:6; Job 11:18; Job 11:19; Ps 4:8; Pr 3:24) 6 I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. (1Ki 20:12; Ps 23:4; Ps 27:3; Isa 22:7) 7 Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. (Nu 10:35; Job 16:10; Job 29:17; Ps 7:6; Ps 9:19; Ps 10:12; Ps 58:6) 8 Salvation belongs to the LORD; your blessing be on your people! Selah (Ps 37:39; Ps 62:7; Isa 43:11; Isa 45:21; Jer 3:23; Ho 13:4; Jon 2:9; Re 7:10; Re 19:1)

Pause
