1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O LORD! (Ps 69:2; Ps 69:14; La 3:55; Jon 2:2) 2 O Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my pleas for mercy! (2Ch 6:40; Ps 86:6; Ps 140:6) 3 If you, O LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? (Ps 76:7; Ps 90:8; Ps 143:2; Am 2:15; Na 1:6; Mal 3:2; Eph 6:13; Re 6:17) 4 But with you there is forgiveness, that you may be feared. (1Ki 8:39; 1Ki 8:40; Ps 86:5; Ps 86:15; Ps 130:7; Isa 55:7; Jer 33:8; Jer 33:9; Da 9:9; Ro 2:4) 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul waits, and in his word I hope; (Ps 33:20; Ps 40:1; Ps 119:74; Ps 119:81; Isa 8:17; Isa 26:8) 6 my soul waits for the Lord more than watchmen for the morning, more than watchmen for the morning. (Ps 5:3; Ps 63:6; Ps 119:147; Ps 123:2) 7 O Israel, hope in the LORD! For with the LORD there is steadfast love, and with him is plentiful redemption. 1 A Song of degrees. Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O LORD. 2 Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. 3 If thou, LORD, shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? 4 But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. 5 I wait for the LORD, my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. 6 My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. 7 Let Israel hope in the LORD: for with the LORD there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. 8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

1 Out of the depths I cry to you, Lord; 2 Lord, hear my voice. Let your ears be attentive to my cry for mercy. 3 If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand? 4 But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you. 5 I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. 6 I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. 7 Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is unfailing love and with him is full redemption. 8 He himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.
