1Then I saw in the right hand of him who was seated on the throne a scroll written within and on the back, sealed with seven seals. (Eze 2:9; Da 12:4; Re 5:7)2Und ich sah einen mächtigen Engel, der mit lauter Stimme fragte: »Wer ist würdig, die Siegel aufzubrechen und das Buch zu öffnen?«3Aber es gab niemand, der es öffnen und hineinsehen konnte, weder im Himmel noch auf der Erde noch unter der Erde.4Ich weinte sehr, weil niemand gefunden wurde, der würdig war, das Buch zu öffnen und hineinzusehen.5Da sagte einer der Ältesten zu mir: »Hör auf zu weinen! Der Löwe aus dem Stamm Juda und Nachkomme[1] Davids hat den Sieg errungen. Er ist würdig; er wird die sieben Siegel aufbrechen und das Buch öffnen.« (Re 4:4)6Da sah ich direkt vor dem Thron, umgeben von den vier mächtigen Gestalten und vom Kreis der Ältesten, ein Lamm stehen. Es sah aus, als ob es geschlachtet wäre. Es hatte sieben Hörner und sieben Augen; das sind die sieben Geister Gottes, die in die ganze Welt gesandt worden sind. (Ps 96:1)10Zu Königen hast du sie gemacht und zu Priestern für unseren Gott; und sie werden über die Erde herrschen.« (Re 1:6)11Dann sah und hörte ich Tausende und Abertausende von Engeln, eine unübersehbare Zahl. Sie standen rund um den Thron und die vier mächtigen Gestalten und die Ältesten (Da 7:10; Heb 12:22)12und riefen mit lauter Stimme: »Würdig ist das geopferte Lamm, Macht zu empfangen, Reichtum und Weisheit, Kraft und Ehre, Ruhm und Preis!«13Und alle Geschöpfe in der Luft, auf der Erde, unter der Erde und im Meer – alles, was in der Welt lebt – hörte ich laut mit einstimmen: »Preis und Ehre, Ruhm und Macht gehören ihm, der auf dem Thron sitzt, und dem Lamm, für alle Ewigkeit.« (Ps 150:6; Php 2:10)14Die vier mächtigen Gestalten antworteten: »Amen!« Und die Ältesten fielen nieder und beteten an.
