6 For who in the skies can be compared to the Lord? Who among the heavenly beings^[2] is like the Lord, (Ps 86:8; Ps 89:8) 7 a God greatly to be feared in the council of the holy ones, and awesome above all who are around him? (Ps 47:2; Ps 89:5; Ps 103:20) 8 O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty as you are, O Lord, with your faithfulness all around you? 28 My steadfast love I will keep for him forever, and my covenant will stand firm^[4] for him. (Ps 89:3) 29 I will establish his offspring forever and his throne as the days of the heavens. Allen kommenden Generationen soll mein Lied deine Treue verkünden. 3 »Deine Güte hört niemals auf«, sage ich, »deine Treue steht fest wie der Himmel.«^[1] (Ps 36:6) 4 Du hast gesagt: »Ich habe mir einen Mann erwählt und einen Bund mit ihm geschlossen. David, meinem Vertrauten, habe ich geschworen: (2Sa 7:16; 2Sa 23:5; Isa 55:3) 5 ›Ich bestätige dein Königshaus für immer und festige deinen Thron für alle Generationen.‹« 6 HERR, der Himmel rühmt deine Wunder, die Schar der Engel preist deine Treue; (Ps 19:2) 7 denn niemand dort oben ist dir gleich, von den Göttern^[2] kann sich keiner mit dir messen. (Job 1:6; Ps 82:1) 8 Gott, du bist sehr gefürchtet im himmlischen Rat, Ehrfurcht erfüllt alle, die dich umgeben. 9 Gott, du Herrscher der ganzen Welt,^[3] wer ist so mächtig wie du, wer ist so durch und durch treu? 10 Du bändigst das rebellische Meer; wenn seine Wellen toben, glättest du sie wieder. 11 Du hast den Meeresdrachen^[4] getötet und zertreten und deine Feinde mit starker Hand zerstreut. (Ps 74:13) 12 Dir gehört der Himmel, dir gehört die Erde, das Festland mit allem, was darauf lebt; denn du hast sie ins Dasein gerufen. Weil du uns liebst, sind wir stark. 19 Dir, HERR, gehört auch unser Beschützer; du hast unseren König berufen, du heiliger Gott Israels. (Ps 2:6; Ps 84:10) 20 Einst hast du zu deinem Volk gesprochen, in einer Vision hast du gesagt: »Einen Helden habe ich zum Helfer gemacht, ihn aus dem Volk erwählt und erhöht. (2Sa 7:8) 21 Ich habe David gefunden, meinen Vertrauten, und ihn mit heiligem Öl zum König gesalbt. 22 Mit meiner Hand werde ich ihn halten, durch meine Macht will ich ihn stärken. 23 Kein Feind wird ihn jemals überlisten, kein Aufrührer ihn bezwingen können. 24 Seine Gegner werde ich vernichten und alle niederschlagen, die ihn hassen. 25 Meine Treue und Güte sind ihm sicher. Weil ich bei ihm bin, wächst seine Macht. 26 Ich gebe ihm die Herrschaft über das Meer und unterwerfe ihm die großen Ströme. 27 Er wird zu mir sagen: ›Du bist mein Vater, mein Gott, mein starker Beschützer!‹ (2Sa 7:14) 28 Ich mache ihn zu meinem Erstgeborenen, zum höchsten unter den Königen der Erde. 29 Jederzeit umgibt ihn meine Güte, mein Bund mit ihm ist unverbrüchlich. 30 Ich bestätige sein Königshaus für immer, sein Thron bleibt fest, solange der Himmel besteht. 31 Wenn seine Nachkommen mein Gesetz verlassen und meinen Weisungen nicht gehorchen, 32 wenn sie meine Vorschriften übertreten und meine Anordnungen nicht befolgen, 33 dann werde ich ihren Ungehorsam bestrafen, für ihre Verfehlung werde ich sie schlagen. 34 Aber David werde ich die Treue halten, ihm niemals meine Güte entziehen. 35 Mein Bund mit ihm wird nicht gebrochen, meine Zusagen ändere ich nicht ab. 36 Ein für alle Mal habe ich es geschworen und bürge dafür mit meiner Heiligkeit: Ich werde David niemals täuschen! 37 Sein Königshaus soll für immer bestehen. Seinen Thron werde ich stets vor Augen haben, ebenso lange wie die Sonne; 38 für alle Zeiten bleibt er stehen wie der Mond, dieser treue Zeuge in den Wolken.« 39 Und doch hast du ihn fallen lassen und verstoßen! Du bist zornig geworden auf den König, den du doch selber eingesetzt hast. (2Ki 25:5) 40 Den Bund mit deinem Diener hast du widerrufen, seine Krone in den Schmutz geworfen und geschändet. 41 Die Mauern seiner Stadt hast du zerbrochen, seine festen Burgen in Trümmer gelegt. 42 Alle, die vorübergingen, haben ihn beraubt. Seine Nachbarn treiben ihren Spott mit ihm. 43 Du hast seinen Gegnern den Sieg gegeben und alle seine Feinde mit Freude erfüllt. 44 Sein Schwert hast du stumpf werden lassen und im Kampf hast du ihm nicht geholfen. 45 Seinem Glanz hast du ein Ende gemacht und seinen Thron zu Boden gestürzt. 46 Du hast ihn vor der Zeit altern lassen und ihn mit Schimpf und Schande bedeckt. 47 Wie lange noch, HERR? Willst du dich für immer verbergen? Wie lange soll dein Zorn noch brennen? (Ps 13:2) 48 Denk doch wieder an mich, mein Leben ist so kurz! Nur für einen winzigen Augenblick hast du uns Menschen geschaffen. 49 Gibt es denn einen, der leben darf, ohne jemals den Tod zu sehen, einen, der sich retten kann vor den Klauen der Totenwelt? 50 Herr, wo sind sie, die früheren Beweise deiner Güte? Du hattest sie David versprochen und dich mit deiner Treue dafür verbürgt! 51 Denk daran, wie man deine Diener beschimpft! Ich muss den Hohn vieler Völker ertragen. 52 HERR, deine Feinde verhöhnen den König, den du gesalbt und eingesetzt hast; sie verhöhnen ihn auf Schritt und Tritt. (Ps 2:6) 53 Der HERR sei für alle Zeiten gepriesen! Amen, so soll es sein!
