1Ich liebe den HERRN, denn er hört mich, wenn ich zu ihm um Hilfe schreie.2Er hat ein offenes Ohr für mich; darum bete ich zu ihm, solange ich lebe.3Ich war gefangen in den Fesseln des Todes, die Schrecken der Totenwelt griffen nach mir, Angst und Verzweiflung quälten mich. (Ps 18:5)4Da schrie ich zu ihm: »HERR, rette mein Leben!«5Der HERR ist gütig und gerecht, voll Erbarmen ist unser Gott. (Ex 34:6)6Der HERR schützt alle, die sich nicht helfen können. Ich war schwach und er hat mir geholfen.7Nun kann ich wieder zur Ruhe kommen, denn der HERR ist gut zu mir gewesen.8HERR, du hast mich gerettet vom drohenden Tod, du hast meine Tränen versiegen lassen und meine Füße zurückgehalten vor dem Abgrund. (Ps 30:4)9Ich darf in der Welt der Lebenden bleiben und in deiner Nähe weiterleben.10Ich habe dem HERRN vertraut, auch als ich klagte: »Ich liege ganz am Boden!«11In meiner Ratlosigkeit sagte ich: »Auf keinen Menschen ist Verlass!«12Wie kann ich dem HERRN vergelten, was er für mich getan hat?13Ich will ihn vor der Gemeinde rühmen und den Becher der Rettung[1] erheben, um ihm zu danken. (Ps 22:26; Ps 66:13)14Was ich ihm versprochen habe, löse ich ein in Gegenwart seines ganzen Volkes.15Der HERR lässt die Seinen nicht untergehen, dafür ist ihm ihr Leben zu wertvoll. (Ps 72:14)16HERR, ich gehöre dir mit Leib und Leben; darum hast du mich vom Tod befreit.17Ich bringe dir ein Dankopfer und bekenne vor allen, dass du zu deinem Namen stehst und hilfst.18Was ich dem HERRN versprochen habe, das löse ich ein in Gegenwart seines ganzen Volkes,19in den Vorhöfen seines Tempels, mitten in dir, Jerusalem!
