Achtet darauf, damit ihr verständig werdet!2Es ist etwas Gutes, was ich euch beibringen will; deshalb schiebt es nicht von euch weg!3Als ich noch ein kleiner Junge war, zärtlich geliebt von meiner Mutter wie ein einziges Kind, da hat mein Vater mich schon unterwiesen.4Er sagte zu mir: »Präge dir meine Worte ein, vergiss sie nicht! Wenn du tust, was ich dir sage, wirst du leben. (Pr 3:1)5Erwirb Weisheit und Einsicht! Vergiss meine Worte nicht, sondern richte dich nach ihnen!6Trenne dich nie von der Weisheit, sie wird dich beschützen. Liebe sie, dann lebst du in Sicherheit.7Weisheit ist das Allerwichtigste; darum gib notfalls alles hin, um sie zu erwerben. (Pr 23:23; Mt 13:44)8Halte sie in Ehren, dann wird sie dich zu Ehren bringen. Wende ihr deine Liebe zu, und sie wird dir Ansehen verschaffen.9Sie wird ein Schmuck für dich sein, genauso wie ein prächtiger Kranz auf deinem Kopf.«
Weisheit – der sicherste Weg
10Mein Sohn, achte genau auf das, was ich dir sage. Dadurch verlängerst du dein Leben. (Pr 3:1)11Ich will dich auf den Weg der Weisheit und Lebensklugheit bringen; es ist ein gerader Weg.12Wenn du diesen Weg gehst, wird kein Hindernis deinen Schritt hemmen; selbst wenn du läufst, wirst du nicht stolpern.13Bleibe bei dem, was du gelernt hast, verleugne es nicht! Halte an den Lehren der Weisheit fest, dein Leben hängt davon ab!14Richte dich nicht nach dem Vorbild gewissenloser Menschen, folge nicht dem Beispiel der Unheilstifter! (Ps 1:1)15Hab nichts mit ihnen zu tun, geh nicht auf ihren Wegen! Wende dich vom Unrecht ab, lass dich nicht darauf ein!16Schlechte Menschen können nicht einschlafen, wenn sie nicht vorher etwas angestellt haben. Sie finden erst Ruhe, wenn sie jemand zu Schaden gebracht haben.17Unrecht ist ihr tägliches Brot und Gewalttätigkeit der Wein, an dem sie sich berauschen.18Das Leben der Menschen, die auf Gott hören, gleicht dem Sonnenaufgang: Es wird heller und heller, bis es völlig Tag geworden ist.19Aber das Leben derer, die Gott missachten, ist wie die finstere Nacht: Sie kommen zu Fall und wissen nicht, worüber sie gestolpert sind.
Weisheit – Hilfe zum Leben
20Mein Sohn, hör mir gut zu, achte auf meine Worte!21Präge sie dir ein, damit du sie in Herz und Sinn behältst und nie verlierst.22Sie erhalten den Menschen, der sie befolgt, bei Leben und Gesundheit.23Mehr als auf alles andere achte auf deine Gedanken, denn sie entscheiden über dein Leben.24Lass deinen Mund keine Unwahrheit aussprechen; über deine Lippen soll keine Verleumdung oder Täuschung kommen.25Lass deine Augen geradeaus schauen, richte deine Blicke genau auf deinen Weg!26Überlege, was du tun willst, und dann tu es entschlossen!27Lass dich von der richtigen Entscheidung nicht abbringen, damit deine Füße nicht auf Abwege geraten.
