I Am the Light of the World

The Truth Will Set You Free

You Are of Your Father the Devil

This is not what Abraham did. (Joh 8:26; Joh 8:37)41You are doing the works your father did.” They said to him, “We were not born of sexual immorality. Er setzte sich und sprach zu ihnen über den Willen Gottes.3Da führten die Gesetzeslehrer und Pharisäer eine Frau herbei, die beim Ehebruch ertappt worden war. Sie stellten sie in die Mitte4und sagten zu Jesus: »Lehrer, diese Frau wurde ertappt, als sie gerade Ehebruch beging.5Im Gesetz schreibt Mose uns vor, dass eine solche Frau gesteinigt werden muss. Was sagst du dazu?« (Le 20:10; De 22:22)6Mit dieser Frage wollten sie ihm eine Falle stellen, um ihn anklagen zu können. Aber Jesus bückte sich nur und schrieb mit dem Finger auf die Erde. (Mr 12:13)7Als sie nicht aufhörten zu fragen, richtete er sich auf und sagte zu ihnen: »Wer von euch noch nie eine Sünde begangen hat, soll den ersten Stein auf sie werfen!« (De 13:10; De 17:7)8Dann bückte er sich wieder und schrieb auf die Erde.9Als sie das hörten, zog sich einer nach dem andern zurück; die Älteren gingen zuerst. Jesus ist das Licht der Welt
12Jesus sprach weiter zu den Leuten: »Ich bin das Licht für die Welt.[1] Wer mir folgt, tappt nicht mehr im Dunkeln, sondern hat das Licht und mit ihm das Leben.« (Isa 1:5; Isa 9:4; Isa 11:9; Isa 49:6; Joh 1:5; Joh 1:9; Joh 3:19; Joh 9:5; Joh 12:46; Eph 5:8; 1Jo 1:5; 1Jo 2:8)13Die Pharisäer sagten zu ihm: »Jetzt trittst du als Zeuge in eigener Sache auf. Was du sagst, hat keine Beweiskraft!« (Joh 5:31)14»Was ich sage, ist wahr«, entgegnete Jesus, »selbst wenn ich mein eigener Zeuge bin. Ich weiß nämlich, woher ich gekommen bin und wohin ich gehe. Wo ich hingehe, dorthin könnt ihr nicht kommen
21Jesus sagte noch einmal zu ihnen: »Ich werde fortgehen. Dann werdet ihr vergeblich nach mir suchen und in eurem Unglauben[2] zugrunde gehen. Wo ich hingehe, dorthin könnt ihr nicht kommen.« (Joh 7:33)22Die Leute[3] meinten: »Wenn er sagt: ›Wo ich hingehe, dorthin könnt ihr nicht kommen‹ – heißt das, dass er Selbstmord begehen will?«23Jesus antwortete: »Ihr seid von hier unten, aber ich komme von oben. Ihr gehört zu dieser Welt, aber ich bin nicht von dieser Welt. (Joh 3:31)24Ich habe es euch ja gesagt, dass ihr in eurem Unglauben zugrunde gehen werdet. Freiheit oder Sklaverei
31Jesus sagte zu den Juden, die zum Glauben an ihn gekommen waren: »Wenn ihr bei dem bleibt, was ich euch gesagt habe, und euer Leben darauf gründet,[7] seid ihr wirklich meine Jünger. (Joh 14:15; Joh 15:8)32Dann werdet ihr die Wahrheit erkennen und die Wahrheit wird euch frei machen.«33»Wir stammen von Abraham ab«, antworteten sie ihm, »und wir haben nie jemand als Sklaven gedient. Was meinst du, wenn du sagst: ›Ihr werdet frei werden‹?« (Mt 3:9)34Jesus sagte zu ihnen: »Amen, ich versichere euch: Wer sündigt, ist ein Sklave der Sünde. (Ro 6:16; Ro 6:20; 2Pe 2:19)35Ein Sklave gehört nicht für immer zur Familie. Nur der Sohn gehört für immer dazu. (Ex 21:2)36Wenn der Sohn euch frei macht, dann seid ihr wirklich frei. Jesus und Abraham

Ein anderer sucht sie, und er ist der Richter. (Joh 7:18)51Amen, ich versichere euch: Wer sich nach meinem Wort richtet, wird in Ewigkeit nicht sterben.« (Joh 5:24)52Da sagten sie: »Jetzt sind wir sicher, dass ein böser Geist aus dir spricht.
