1 Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings,[1] ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. (1Ch 16:28; 1Ch 16:29; Ps 68:34; Ps 96:7; Ps 96:8) 2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of holiness.[2] (Ex 28:2; 1Ch 16:29; Ps 110:3) 3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the LORD, over many waters. (Job 37:4; Job 37:5; Ps 18:11) 4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. (Ps 68:33) 5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD breaks the cedars of Lebanon. (Jud 9:15; Ps 104:16) 6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox. (Nu 23:22; De 3:9; Ps 114:4; Ps 114:6) 7 The voice of the LORD flashes forth flames of fire. 8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. (Nu 13:26) 9 The voice of the LORD makes the deer give birth[3] and strips the forests bare, and in his temple all cry, “Glory!” (Job 39:1) 10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD sits enthroned as king forever. (Ge 6:17; Ps 10:16) 11 May the LORD give strength to his people! May the LORD bless[4] his people with peace! (Ps 68:35; Isa 40:29; Php 4:7)

1 Ein Psalm. Von David. Gebt dem HERRN, ihr Göttersöhne, gebt dem HERRN Herrlichkeit und Kraft! (Ps 68:35; Ps 89:7; Ps 96:7) 2 Gebt dem HERRN die Herrlichkeit seines Namens; betet an den HERRN in heiliger Pracht[1]! (Ps 96:8; Ps 110:3; Re 7:12) 3 Die Stimme des HERRN[2] ist über den Wassern, der Gott der Herrlichkeit donnert; der HERR über großen Wassern. (Ps 18:14; Ac 7:2) 4 Die Stimme des HERRN ⟨ertönt⟩ mit Macht, die Stimme des HERRN in Majestät. (Job 40:9; Ps 68:34; Ps 93:4; Isa 30:30; Re 1:10) 5 Die Stimme des HERRN zerbricht Zedern, ja, der HERR zerbricht die Zedern des Libanon. (Isa 2:13) 6 Er lässt sie hüpfen wie ein Kalb, den Libanon und Sirjon[3] wie einen jungen Büffel. (Ps 114:4) 7 Die Stimme des HERRN sprüht Feuerflammen, (Ps 18:14) 8 die Stimme des HERRN erschüttert die Wüste, der HERR erschüttert die Wüste Kadesch. 9 Die Stimme des HERRN macht Hirschkühe kreißen und lässt Zicklein vorzeitig gebären[4] … Und in seinem Tempel sagt alles: Herrlichkeit! (Job 39:1) 10 Der HERR thront auf der Wasserflut, der HERR thront als König in Ewigkeit. (Ps 9:8) 11 Der HERR möge Kraft geben seinem Volk, der HERR möge sein Volk segnen mit Frieden. (Ps 68:36; Isa 26:12)
