Blessed Is Everyone Who Fears the Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways! (Ps 112:1; Ps 119:1; Ps 120:1; Pr 8:32)

2 You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed, and it shall be well with you. (Ps 109:11; Isa 3:10) 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. (Ge 49:22; Ps 52:8; Eze 19:10) 4 Behold, thus shall the man be blessed who fears the Lord. 5 The Lord bless you from Zion! May you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life! (Ps 20:2; Ps 122:9; Ps 134:3; Ps 135:21)

1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Glücklich ein jeder, der den HERRN fürchtet, der wandelt auf seinen Wegen! (Ps 119:1) 2 Denn essen wirst du die Arbeit deiner Hände. Heil dir! Gut steht es um dich^[1]. (De 28:8; Ps 1:3; Isa 3:10) 3 Deine Frau gleicht einem fruchtbaren Weinstock im Innern deines Hauses, deine Söhne den Ölbaumsprossen, rings um deinen Tisch. (Ps 127:3; Ps 144:12) 4 Siehe, so wird gesegnet sein der Mann, der den HERRN fürchtet. (De 28:2) 5 Es segne dich der HERR von Zion aus. Schaue das Wohl Jerusalems alle Tage deines Lebens, (Ps 20:3; Isa 33:20) 6 und sieh deiner Kinder Kinder! – Friede über Israel! // (Ge 50:23; Job 42:16; Ps 125:5)
