Consecration of the Priests

1 “Now this is what you shall do to them to consecrate them, that they may serve me as priests. Take one bull of the herd and two rams without blemish, (Le 8:2) 

2 and unleavened bread, unleavened cakes mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers smeared with oil. You shall make them of fine wheat flour. (Le 2:4; Le 6:20) 

3 You shall put them in one basket and bring them in the basket, and bring the bull and the two rams. 

4 You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and wash them with water. (Ex 40:12; Le 8:6; Heb 10:22) 

5 Then you shall take the garments, and put on Aaron the coat and the robe of the ephod, and the ephod, and the breastpiece, and gird him with the skillfully woven band of the ephod. (Ex 28:2; Ex 28:8) 

6 And you shall set the turban on his head and put the holy crown on the turban. (Ex 28:36; Le 8:9; Nu 6:7) 

7 You shall take the anointing oil and pour it on his head and anoint him. (Ex 28:41; Ex 29:21; Ex 30:25; Le 8:12; Le 8:30; Le 10:7; Le 21:10; Nu 35:25) 

8 Then you shall bring his sons and put coats on them, (Le 8:13) 

9 and you shall gird Aaron and his sons with sashes and bind caps on them. And the priesthood shall be theirs by a statute forever. Thus you shall ordain Aaron and his sons. (Ex 27:21; Ex 28:4; Ex 28:39; Ex 28:41; Ex 29:29; Ex 29:33; Le 8:33; Le 16:32; Nu 18:7) 

10 “Then you shall bring the bull before the tent of meeting. Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull. (Ex 29:15; Ex 29:19; Le 1:4; Le 8:14) 

11 Then you shall kill the bull before the Lord at the entrance of the tent of meeting, 

12 and shall take part of the blood of the bull and put it on the horns of the altar with your finger, and the rest of the blood you shall pour out at the base of the altar. (Ex 27:2; Le 8:15) 

13 And you shall take all the fat that covers the entrails, and the long lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and burn them on the altar. (Le 3:3) 

14 But the flesh of the bull and its skin and its dung you shall burn with fire outside the camp; it is a sin offering. (Ex 29:36; Ex 30:10; Le 4:11; Le 4:21; Nu 19:3; Nu 19:5; Heb 13:11) 

15 “Then you shall take one of the rams, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram, (Ex 29:1; Ex 29:19; Le 1:4; Le 8:14; Le 8:18) 

16 and you shall kill the ram and shall take its blood and throw it against the sides of the altar. 

17 Then you shall cut the ram into pieces, and wash its entrails and its legs, and put them with its pieces and its head, (Le 8:20) 

18 and burn the whole ram on the altar. It is a burnt offering to the Lord. It is a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. (Ge 8:21; Ex 29:25; Ex 29:41) 

19 “You shall take the other ram, and Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram, (Ex 29:1; Ex 29:15; Le 8:22) 

20 and you shall kill the ram and take part of its blood and put it on the tip of the right ear of Aaron and on the tips of the right ears of his sons, and on the thumbs of their right hands and on the great toes of their right feet, and throw the rest of the blood against the sides of the altar. 

21 Then you shall take part of the blood that is on the altar, and of the anointing oil, and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments, and on his sons and his sons’ garments with him. He and his garments shall be holy, and his sons and his sons’ garments with him. (Ex 29:7) 

22 “You shall also take the fat from the ram and the fat tail and the fat that covers the entrails, and the long lobe of the liver and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them, and the right thigh (for it is a ram of ordination), (Ex 29:13; Le 7:37; Le 8:28; Le 8:31; Le 8:33) 

23 and one loaf of bread and one cake of bread made with oil, and one wafer out of the basket of unleavened bread that is before the Lord. (Ex 29:2; Le 8:26) 

24 You shall put all these on the palms of Aaron and on the palms of his sons, and wave them for a wave offering before the Lord. (Le 7:30; Le 8:27; Le 8:29; Nu 5:25; Nu 6:20) 

25 Then you shall take them from their hands and burn them on the altar on top of the burnt offering, as a pleasing aroma before the Lord. It is a food offering to the Lord. (Ex 29:18; Ex 29:41; Le 6:22; Le 8:28) 

26 “You shall take the breast of the ram of Aaron’s ordination and wave it for a wave offering before the Lord, and it shall be your portion. (Ex 29:22; Ex 29:24; Le 8:29) 

27 And you shall consecrate the breast of the wave offering that is waved and the thigh of the priests’ portion that is contributed from the ram of ordination, from what was Aaron’s and his sons’. (Ex 29:26; Le 7:31; Le 7:32; Le 7:34; Le 10:14; Le 10:15; Nu 18:11; Nu 18:18) 

28 It shall be for Aaron and his sons as a perpetual due from the people of Israel, for it is a contribution. It shall be a contribution from the people of Israel from their peace offerings, their contribution to the Lord. (Ex 29:26; Le 10:15) 

29 “The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him; they shall be anointed in them and ordained in them. (Ex 29:9; Nu 18:8; Nu 20:26; Nu 20:28) 

30 The son who succeeds him as priest, who comes into the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place, shall wear them seven days. (Le 8:33; Le 8:35) 

31 “You shall take the ram of ordination and boil its flesh in a holy place. (Le 8:31) 

32 And Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram and the bread that is in the basket in the entrance of the tent of meeting. (Mt 12:4) 

33 They shall eat those things with which atonement was made at their ordination and consecration, but an outsider shall not eat of them, because they are holy. (Le 10:14; Le 10:17; Le 22:10) 

34 And if any of the flesh for the ordination or of the bread remain until the morning, then you shall burn the remainder with fire. It shall not be eaten, because it is holy. (Le 8:32) 

35 “Thus you shall do to Aaron and to his sons, according to all that I have commanded you. Through seven days shall you ordain them, (Le 8:33) 

36 and every day you shall offer a bull as a sin offering for atonement. Also you shall purify the altar, when you make atonement for it, and shall anoint it to consecrate it. (Ex 29:14; Ex 30:10; Ex 30:26; Ex 30:28; Ex 40:10) 

37 Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy. Whatever touches the altar shall become holy. (Ex 30:29; Ex 40:10; Mt 23:19) 

38 “Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old day by day regularly. (Nu 28:3; 1Ch 16:40; 2Ch 2:4; 2Ch 13:11; 2Ch 31:3; Ezr 3:3; Da 8:11; Da 9:27; Da 12:11; Heb 10:11) 

39 One lamb you shall offer in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer at twilight. (1Ki 18:29; 1Ki 18:36; 2Ki 16:15; Ezr 9:4; Ps 141:2; Eze 46:13; Da 9:21) 

40 And with the first lamb a tenth measure of fine flour mingled with a fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and a fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering. 

41 The other lamb you shall offer at twilight, and shall offer with it a grain offering and its drink offering, as in the morning, for a pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. (Ex 29:18; Ex 29:25; Ex 29:39; Ex 30:9; Ex 40:29) 

42 It shall be a regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord, where I will meet with you, to speak to you there. (Ex 25:22; Nu 28:6) 

43 There I will meet with the people of Israel, and it shall be sanctified by my glory. (Ex 40:34; 1Ki 8:11; 2Ch 5:14; 2Ch 7:1; Eze 43:5; Hag 2:7; Hag 2:9; Mal 3:1) 

44 I will consecrate the tent of meeting and the altar. Aaron also and his sons I will consecrate to serve me as priests. (Le 21:15; Le 22:9; Le 22:16) 

45 I will dwell among the people of Israel and will be their God. (Ex 25:8; Le 26:12; Zec 2:10; 2Co 6:16; Re 21:3) 

46 And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, who brought them out of the land of Egypt that I might dwell among them. I am the Lord their God. (Ex 20:2)

Heiligtum: Weihe Aarons und seiner Söhne und des Altars

1 Und dies ist es, was du mit ihnen tun sollst, sie zu heiligen, damit sie mir den Priesterdienst ausüben: Nimm einen Jungstier und zwei Widder ohne Fehler, (Ex 28:1) 

2 dazu ungesäuertes Brot und ungesäuerte, mit Öl gemengte Kuchen sowie ungesäuerte, mit Öl bestrichene Fladen; aus Weizengrieß sollst du sie machen. (Le 2:4; Le 6:13) 

3 Dann lege sie in einen Korb und bringe sie in dem Korb dar, und den Stier und die zwei Widder! 

4 Aaron und seine Söhne aber sollst du an den Eingang des Zeltes der Begegnung herantreten lassen und sie mit Wasser waschen. (Ex 30:19; Ex 40:12; Nu 8:9; Tit 3:5; Heb 10:22) 

5 Darauf sollst du die Kleider nehmen und Aaron bekleiden mit dem Leibrock, dem Oberkleid des Efods, dem Efod und der Brusttasche und ihm den Gurt des Efods umbinden. 

6 Dann setze ihm den Kopfbund auf sein Haupt und befestige das heilige Diadem am Kopfbund, (Zec 3:5) 

7 nimm das Salböl, gieße es auf sein Haupt und salbe ihn! (Ex 28:41; Le 10:7; Nu 35:25; Ps 133:2; Isa 61:1) 

8 Auch seine Söhne sollst du herantreten lassen und sie mit Leibröcken bekleiden. 

9 Dann umgürte sie mit dem Gürtel, Aaron und seine Söhne, und binde ihnen die hohen Turbane um! So soll ihnen das Priesteramt zu einer ewigen Ordnung sein. Und du sollst Aaron und seinen Söhnen die Hände füllen. (Ex 27:21; Jud 17:5; 1Sa 2:30) 

10 Auch sollst du den Stier vor das Zelt der Begegnung heranführen, und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihre Hände auf den Kopf des Stiers legen. (Le 1:4; Le 3:2) 

11 Dann schlachte den Stier vor dem HERRN, am Eingang des Zeltes der Begegnung, (Le 4:4) 

12 nimm von dem Blut des Stiers und tu es mit deinem Finger an die Hörner des Altars, und alles ⟨übrige⟩ Blut sollst du an den Fuß des Altars gießen! (Le 4:7) 

13 Und nimm alles Fett, das die Eingeweide bedeckt, dazu den Lappen über der Leber und die beiden Nieren und das Fett, das an ihnen ist, und lass ⟨dies alles⟩ auf dem Altar als Rauch aufsteigen! (Le 3:3) 

14 Das Fleisch des Stiers aber samt seiner Haut und dem Inhalt seines Magens sollst du außerhalb des Lagers verbrennen: ein Sündopfer ist es. (Le 4:11; Nu 19:5; Eze 43:21) 

15 ⟨Danach⟩ nimm den einen Widder, und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihre Hände auf den Kopf des Widders legen, (Le 1:4; Le 3:2) 

16 dann sollst du den Widder schlachten und sein Blut nehmen und es ringsum an den Altar sprengen. 

17 Und du sollst den Widder in seine Stücke zerlegen, seine Eingeweide und seine Unterschenkel waschen und sie auf seine Stücke und auf seinen Kopf legen. 

18 Den ganzen Widder aber sollst du auf dem Altar als Rauch aufsteigen lassen: ein Brandopfer für den HERRN ist es, ein wohlgefälliger Geruch. Ein Feueropfer ist es für den HERRN. (Ge 8:20) 

19 Und nimm den zweiten Widder, und Aaron und seine Söhne sollen ihre Hände auf den Kopf des Widders legen! (Le 1:4; Le 3:2) 

20 Dann sollst du den Widder schlachten und von seinem Blut ⟨etwas⟩ nehmen und es auf das rechte Ohrläppchen Aarons und auf das rechte Ohrläppchen seiner Söhne tun, auch auf den Daumen ihrer rechten Hand und auf die große Zehe ihres rechten Fußes. Das ⟨übrige⟩ Blut aber sollst du ringsum an den Altar sprengen. (Le 14:14) 

21 Und nimm von dem Blut, das auf dem Altar ist, und von dem Salböl und sprenge es auf Aaron und auf seine Kleider, und auf seine Söhne und auf die Kleider seiner Söhne mit ihm! So werden er und seine Kleider und seine Söhne und die Kleider seiner Söhne mit ihm geheiligt. (Ex 30:30; 2Co 1:21) 

22 Dann nimm von dem Widder das Fett, den Fettschwanz und das Fett, das die Eingeweide bedeckt, dazu den Leberlappen, die beiden Nieren und das Fett, das an ihnen ist, sowie die rechte Keule – denn ein Widder der Einsetzung ist es –, 

23 ferner ein ⟨fladenförmiges⟩ Rundbrot, einen Ölbrotkuchen und einen Fladen aus dem Korb der ungesäuerten Brote, der vor dem HERRN ⟨steht⟩, 

24 und lege das alles auf die Hände Aarons und auf die Hände seiner Söhne und schwinge es als Schwingopfer vor dem HERRN! (Le 7:30; Le 23:11) 

25 Dann nimm es von ihren Händen und lass es auf dem Altar über dem Brandopfer als Rauch aufsteigen zum wohlgefälligen Geruch vor dem HERRN! Ein Feueropfer ist es für den HERRN. (Ge 8:20) 

26 Und nimm die Brust von dem Einsetzungswidder, der für Aaron ist, und schwinge sie als Schwingopfer vor dem HERRN! Sie soll dein Anteil sein. 

27 Und heilige die Brust des Schwingopfers und die Keule des Hebopfers, die geschwungen und die abgehoben worden ist, von dem Einsetzungswidder, von dem, was für Aaron, und von dem, was für seine Söhne ist! 

28 Und es soll Aaron und seinen Söhnen zukommen als eine ewige Ordnung bei den Söhnen Israel, denn es ist ein Hebopfer, und ein Hebopfer soll es sein bei den Söhnen Israel, ihr Hebopfer von ihren Heilsopfern: für den HERRN. (Ex 28:2; Le 10:15; Nu 5:9; Nu 6:20; Nu 18:8; Nu 20:28; De 18:3) 

29 Die heiligen Kleider Aarons sollen nach ihm seinen Söhnen zuteilwerden, damit man sie darin salbt und darin weiht. 

30 Sieben Tage soll sie anziehen, wer von seinen Söhnen an seiner statt Priester wird, wer in das Zelt der Begegnung hineingeht, um im Heiligtum zu dienen. (Le 16:32) 

31 Du sollst den Einsetzungswidder nehmen und sein Fleisch an heiliger Stätte kochen. (Eze 46:20) 

32 Dann sollen Aaron und seine Söhne das Fleisch des Widders und das Brot, das im Korb ist, am Eingang des Zeltes der Begegnung essen. 

33 Sie sollen die ⟨Stücke⟩ essen, mit denen die Sühnung vollzogen wurde, um ihnen die Hände zu füllen, um sie dadurch zu heiligen. Ein Fremder darf aber nicht davon essen, denn sie sind heilig. (Le 10:12; Le 22:10) 

34 Wenn aber von dem Fleisch des Einsetzungsopfers und von dem Brot etwas bis zum ⟨nächsten⟩ Morgen übrig bleibt, dann sollst du das Übriggebliebene mit Feuer verbrennen; es darf nicht gegessen werden, denn es ist heilig. (Ex 12:10) 

35 So sollst du mit Aaron und seinen Söhnen verfahren, nach allem, was ich dir geboten habe. Sieben Tage sollst du sie weihen. 

36 Auch sollst du täglich einen Stier zur Sühnung als Sündopfer darbringen und den Altar entsündigen, indem du Sühnung an ihm vollziehst, und du sollst ihn salben, um ihn zu heiligen. (Nu 7:1) 

37 Sieben Tage sollst du Sühnung am Altar vollziehen und ihn ⟨dadurch⟩ heiligen. So wird der Altar hochheilig sein; alles, was den Altar berührt, ist geheiligt. (Ex 30:29; Le 6:11; Nu 28:3; 2Ch 7:9; Eze 43:20; Mt 23:19) 

Heiligtum: Tägliche Opfer

38 Und dies ist es, was du auf dem Altar darbringen sollst: täglich zwei einjährige Lämmer als regelmäßiges ⟨Brandopfer⟩. (Le 9:17; Da 12:11; Heb 10:11) 

39 Das eine Lamm sollst du am Morgen darbringen, und das zweite Lamm sollst du zwischen den zwei Abenden darbringen, (Ex 12:6; 2Ki 3:20; 2Ki 16:15; 2Ch 2:3; Ezr 9:4; Ps 141:2; Eze 46:13) 

40 dazu ein Zehntel Weizengrieß mit einem viertel Hin Öl aus zerstoßenen ⟨Oliven⟩ gemengt, und als Trankopfer ein viertel Hin Wein zu dem einen Lamm. (Nu 15:4) 

41 Das andere Lamm aber sollst du zwischen den zwei Abenden darbringen – wie bei dem Morgen-Speisopfer und bei seinem Trankopfer sollst du es dabei halten – zum wohlgefälligen Geruch, ein Feueropfer für den HERRN, (Ex 12:6; 2Ch 2:3; Ezr 9:4; Ps 141:2) 

42 als ein regelmäßiges Brandopfer für ⟨all⟩ eure Generationen am Eingang des Zeltes der Begegnung vor dem HERRN, wo ich euch begegnen werde, um dort zu dir zu reden. (Ex 25:22) 

43 Und ich werde dort den Söhnen Israel begegnen, und es wird durch meine Herrlichkeit geheiligt werden. (Le 9:4; 1Ki 8:11) 

44 So werde ich das Zelt der Begegnung und den Altar heiligen. Und Aaron und seine Söhne werde ich heiligen, damit sie mir den Priesterdienst ausüben. (1Ki 9:3) 

45 Und ich werde mitten unter den Söhnen Israel wohnen und ihr Gott sein. (Ex 6:7; Ex 25:8; Le 26:12; Nu 16:3; 2Ch 6:18; Jer 14:9; Eze 34:24; Re 21:3) 

46 Und sie werden erkennen, dass ich, der HERR, ihr Gott bin, der ich sie aus dem Land Ägypten herausgeführt habe, um mitten unter ihnen zu wohnen, ich, der HERR, ihr Gott. (Ex 6:7; Ex 20:2; Ex 25:8; Ex 37:25; Le 26:12; Nu 16:3; 1Sa 10:18; 2Ch 6:18; Jer 14:9; Eze 34:24; Re 21:3)
