Psalm 124

Our Help Is in the Name of the Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. Of David. If it had not been the Lord who was on our side— let Israel now say— (Ps 94:17; Ps 120:1; Ps 129:1) 

2 if it had not been the Lord who was on our side when people rose up against us, 

3 then they would have swallowed us up alive, when their anger was kindled against us; (Ps 56:1) 

4 then the flood would have swept us away, the torrent would have gone over us; (Job 22:11; Ps 32:6; Ps 69:1; Ps 69:2; Isa 8:8) 

5 then over us would have gone the raging waters. 

6 Blessed be the Lord, who has not given us as prey to their teeth! 

7 We have escaped like a bird from the snare of the fowlers; the snare is broken, and we have escaped! (Ps 91:3) 

8 Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. (Ps 121:2)

1 以色列人要说： 若不是耶和华帮助我们， 

2 若不是耶和华帮助我们， 仇敌起来攻击我们、 

3 向我们发怒的时候， 我们早已被他们生吞， 

4 被狂涛淹没，被洪流卷走， 

5 被怒海吞噬。 

6 耶和华当受称颂！ 祂没有让我们像猎物一样被敌人撕咬。 

7 我们像鸟一样逃出了猎人的网罗。 网罗破裂，我们逃了出去。 

8 我们的帮助来自创造天地的耶和华。
