3 The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good. (Job 31:4) 4 A gentle^[1] tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness in it breaks the spirit. (Pr 3:18; Pr 11:3; Pr 12:18) 5 A fool despises his father’s instruction, but whoever heeds reproof is prudent. 9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but he loves him who pursues righteousness. 1 La blanda respuesta aplaca la ira, Pero la palabra hiriente hace subir el furor. 2 La lengua de los sabios destila ciencia, La boca de los necios profiere sandeces. 3 Los ojos de YHVH están en todo lugar, Escrutando a malos y buenos. 4 Árbol de vida es la lengua apacible, Pero la perversa hiere en lo vivo. 5 El necio desprecia el consejo de su padre, Pero el que guarda la corrección, se hace sagaz. 6 En la casa del justo hay muchos bienes, Pero en las ganancias del malvado, desbarajuste. 7 Los labios de los sabios esparcen ciencia, No así el corazón de los necios. 8 Abominación a YHVH es el sacrificio de los impíos, Pero la oración de los rectos es su deleite. 9 YHVH aborrece el camino del malvado, Pero ama a quien va en pos de la justicia. 10 La reconvención molesta al que abandona el camino, El que aborrece la corrección morirá. 11 El Seol y el Abadón están delante de YHVH, ¡Cuánto más los corazones de los hijos del hombre! 12 El escarnecedor no ama al que lo reprende, Ni frecuenta a los sabios. 13 Un corazón alegre hermosea el rostro, Pero el dolor del corazón abate el ánimo. 14 El corazón entendido busca la sabiduría, Pero la boca de los necios se apacienta de necedad. 15 Todos los días del desdichado son difíciles, Pero el de corazón alegre tiene un banquete continuo. 16 Más vale poco con el temor de YHVH, Que grandes tesoros con sobresaltos. 17 Mejor es ración de legumbres donde hay amor, Que buey engordado donde hay rencor. 18 El hombre iracundo provoca contiendas, Pero el que tarde se enoja, apacigua la rencilla. 19 El camino del perezoso es como seto de espinos, Pero la senda de los rectos es llana. 20 El hijo sabio alegra al padre, Pero el hombre necio es deshonra de su madre. 21 La necedad divierte al falto de entendimiento, Pero el hombre inteligente endereza su andar. 22 Los planes fracasan cuando no se delibera, Pero resultan a fuerza de consejeros. 23 ¡Qué alegría saber qué responder! ¡Cuán buena es la palabra oportuna! 24 El prudente sube por el camino de la vida, Que lo aparta de la bajada al Seol. 25 YHVH arranca la casa del soberbio, Y planta la heredad de la viuda. 26 Aborrece YHVH los pensamientos del malvado, Puros le son en cambio los dichos placenteros. 27 El que aspira a ganancias deshonestas arruina su casa, Pero el que aborrece el soborno vivirá. 28 La mente honrada medita la respuesta, Pero la boca del inicuo derrama cosas malas. 29 YHVH está lejos de los malvados, Pero escucha la oración de los justos. 30 La mirada serena alegra el corazón, Y una buena noticia da vigor a los huesos. 31 Oído que oye sana reprensión, Se hospedará entre los sabios. 32 Quien rechaza la corrección menosprecia su alma, Quien escucha la amonestación adquiere cordura. 33 El temor de YHVH es escuela de sabiduría, Y antes del honor está la humildad.
