1“The sin of Judah is written with a pen of iron; with a point of diamond it is engraved on the tablet of their heart, and on the horns of their altars, (Ex 27:2; Job 19:24; Ps 118:27; Pr 3:3; Pr 7:3; 2Co 3:3)2while their children remember their altars and their Asherim, beside every green tree and on the high hills, (De 16:21; Jud 3:7; Isa 1:29; Jer 2:20; Jer 19:5)3on the mountains in the open country. Your wealth and all your treasures I will give for spoil as the price of your high places for sin throughout all your territory. Jeremiah Prays for Deliverance
14Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise. (De 10:21; Ps 6:2)15Behold, they say to me, “Where is the word of the Lord? Let it come!” (Isa 5:19; 2Pe 3:4)16I have not run away from being your shepherd, nor have I desired the day of sickness. You know what came out of my lips; it was before your face. Keep the Sabbath Holy
19Thus said the Lord to me: “Go and stand in the People’s Gate, by which the kings of Judah enter and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem, (Jer 13:13)20and say: ‘Hear the word of the Lord, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates. (Jer 17:19)21Thus says the Lord: Take care for the sake of your lives, and do not bear a burden on the Sabbath day or bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem. (Ne 13:15; Joh 5:10)22And do not carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath or do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers. 1El pecado de Judá está escrito con cincel de hierro; Con punta de diamante está grabado en la tabla de su corazón, Y en los cuernos de sus altares.2Para memoria de sus hijos son sus altares y sus aseras junto a árboles frondosos, Sobre los altos collados.3Sobre mi monte del campo Entregaré al saqueo tus riquezas y tesoros, Por el pecado de tus lugares altos en todo tu territorio.4Tú misma serás privada de la herencia que te di, Y en una tierra que no conoces, te haré esclavo de tus enemigos; Porque habéis encendido en mi ira un fuego que arderá perpetuamente.5Así dice YHVH: ¡Maldito quien confía en el hombre y se apoya en un brazo de carne apartando su corazón de YHVH!6Será como retama en el desierto, Y no verá cuando viene el bien, Sino que habitará lugares secos en el desierto, En tierra salitrosa y deshabitada.7Bendito aquel que confía en YHVH, Y cuya confianza está en YHVH.8Será como árbol plantado junto a las aguas, Que extiende sus raíces junto a las corrientes, y no teme cuando viene el calor, Pues su follaje estará frondoso, Y en el año de sequía no se preocupará, Ni dejará de dar su fruto.9Engañoso es el corazón más que todas las cosas, Incurable, ¿quién lo conocerá?10Yo, YHVH, Yo escudriño el corazón y sondeo los riñones, Para dar a cada uno conforme a su camino, Conforme al fruto de sus obras.11El que amontona riquezas injustas es como la perdiz que incuba lo que no puso: En la mitad de sus días las abandonará, Y ante su postrimería será un necio.12Trono glorioso, excelso desde el principio, Es el lugar de nuestro Santuario.13¡Oh YHVH, esperanza de Israel!, Los que te abandonan serán avergonzados, Los que te abandonan serán inscritos en el polvo, Porque abandonaron a YHVH, fuente de agua viva.14¡Sáname, oh YHVH, y seré sano; Sálvame, y seré salvo, Porque Tú eres mi alabanza!15He aquí, ellos me dicen: ¿Dónde está la palabra de YHVH? ¡Que se cumpla ahora!16Pero yo no he hecho más que ser un pastor en pos de ti. No he deseado este día de calamidad, Tú lo sabes: lo que ha salido de mis labios está presente ante ti.17No me seas causa de terror, Tú eres mi refugio en el día del mal.18Avergüéncense quienes me persiguen, Pero no sea yo avergonzado, Sientan terror ellos y no yo; Trae sobre ellos el día malo, Y destrúyelos con doble destrucción.
Observancia del Shabbat
19Así me dice YHVH: Ve y ponte de pie en la puerta de los hijos de este pueblo, por la cual entran y salen los reyes de Judá: en todas las puertas de Jerusalem,20y diles: Oíd el oráculo de YHVH, oh reyes de Judá, y Judá todo, con todos los habitantes de Jerusalem que entráis por estas puertas:21Así dice YHVH: Guardaos muy bien de llevar cargas en el día de reposo, y de meterlas por las puertas de Jerusalem.22Tampoco saquéis cargas de vuestras casas en el día del shabbat ni hagáis trabajo alguno, sino santificad el día del shabbat, como lo ordené a vuestros padres23(aunque ellos no escucharon, ni inclinaron su oído, sino que endurecieron su cerviz para no escuchar ni recibir corrección).24Pues si de verdad me escucháis, dice YHVH, y no introducís carga por las puertas de esta ciudad en el día del shabbat, sino que santificáis este día del shabbat, no haciendo en él trabajo alguno,25entrarán por las puertas de esta ciudad en carros y en caballos los reyes y príncipes que se sientan en el trono de David; ellos y sus príncipes, los varones de Judá y los habitantes de Jerusalem. Y esta ciudad será habitada para siempre.26Y vendrán de las ciudades de Judá, de los alrededores de Jerusalem, de la tierra de Benjamín, de la Sefelá, de la región montañosa y del Néguev, trayendo holocaustos, víctimas, ofrenda de cereal e incienso, y trayendo ofrendas de gratitud a la Casa de YHVH.27Pero si no me escucháis en lo de santificar el día del shabbat, y de no transportar carga y meterla por las puertas de Jerusalem en el día del shabbat, Yo prenderé un fuego a sus puertas que devorará los palacios de Jerusalem, y no se apagará.
