Sabbath Regulations

1 Moses assembled all the congregation of the people of Israel and said to them, “These are the things that the Lord has commanded you to do. (Ex 34:32) 2 Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. (Ex 20:9; Ex 31:15) 3 You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.” (Ex 16:23)

Contributions for the Tabernacle

4 Moses said to all the congregation of the people of Israel, “This is the thing that the Lord has commanded. 5 Take from among you a contribution to the Lord. Whoever is of a generous heart, let him bring the Lord’s contribution: gold, silver, and bronze; (Ex 25:2) 6 blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen; goats’ hair, 7 tanned rams’ skins, and goatskins;^[1] acacia wood, 8 oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, 9 and onyx stones and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. 10 “Let every skillful craftsman among you come and make all that the Lord has commanded: (Ex 28:3; Ex 31:6; Ex 35:25; Ex 36:1)

13 the table with its poles and all its utensils, and the bread of the Presence; (Ex 25:23; Ex 25:30) 14 the lampstand also for the light, with its utensils and its lamps, and the oil for the light; (Ex 25:31; Ex 27:20) 15 and the altar of incense, with its poles, and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense, and the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; (Ex 26:36; Ex 30:1; Ex 30:23; Ex 30:34)

16 the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of bronze, its poles, and all its utensils, the basin and its stand; (Ex 27:1; Ex 30:18) 17 the hangings of the court, its pillars and its bases, and the screen for the gate of the court; (Ex 27:9) 18 the pegs of the tabernacle and the pegs of the court, and their cords; (Ex 27:19; Ex 39:40) 19 the finely worked garments for ministering^[2] in the Holy Place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests.” (Ex 31:10) 20 Then all the congregation of the people of Israel departed from the presence of Moses. 21 And they came, everyone whose heart stirred him, and everyone whose spirit moved him, and brought the Lord’s contribution to be used for the tent of meeting, and for all its service, and for the holy garments. (Ex 25:2; Ex 36:3) 22 So they came, both men and women. All who were of a willing heart brought brooches and earrings and signet rings and armlets, all sorts of gold objects, every man dedicating an offering of gold to the Lord. 23 And every one who possessed blue or purple or scarlet yarns or fine linen or goats’ hair or tanned rams’ skins or goatskins brought them. (Ex 25:4; Ex 35:6; 1Ch 29:8) 24 Everyone who could make a contribution of silver or bronze brought it as the Lord’s contribution. And every one who possessed acacia wood of any use in the work brought it. (Ex 36:3; Ex 36:6) 25 And every skillful woman spun with her hands, and they all brought what they had spun in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen. (Ex 35:10) 26 All the women whose hearts stirred them to use their skill spun the goats’ hair. (Ex 35:21) 27 And the leaders brought onyx stones and stones to be set, for the ephod and for the breastpiece, (1Ch 29:6; Ezr 2:68) 28 and spices and oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the fragrant incense. 29 All the men and women, the people of Israel, whose heart moved them to bring anything for the work that the Lord had commanded by Moses to be done brought it as a freewill offering to the Lord. (Ex 36:3)

Construction of the Tabernacle

30 Then Moses said to the people of Israel, “See, the Lord has called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah; (Ex 31:1) 31 and he has filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, with intelligence, with knowledge, and with all craftsmanship, (1Ki 7:14; 2Ch 2:14) 32 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold and silver and bronze, 33 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every skilled craft. 34 And he has inspired him to teach, both him and Oholiab the son of Ahisamach of the tribe of Dan. 35 He has filled them with skill to do every sort of work done by an engraver or by a designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer. (Ex 35:31)

Ofrenda para el Tabernáculo

1 Y convocó Moisés a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, y les dijo: Estas son las cosas que YHVH ha ordenado para que se hagan: 2 Seis días se trabajará, pero el día séptimo será para vosotros santo, shabbat solemne para YHVH; todo el que haga en él alguna obra, ha de morir. 3 No encenderéis fuego en ninguna de vuestras moradas el día del shabbat. 4 Y habló Moisés a toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel, diciendo: Esto es lo que YHVH ha ordenado, diciendo: 5 Recoged de entre vosotros una ofrenda para YHVH. Todo aquel de corazón generoso llevará la ofrenda para YHVH: oro, plata y bronce, 6 azul, púrpura y carmesí, lino fino y pelo de cabras, 7 pieles rojas de carneros, pieles de tejones y madera de acacia, 8 aceite para el alumbrado, especias aromáticas para el aceite de la unción y para el incienso aromático, 9 y piedras de ónice y piedras de engaste para el efod y para el pectoral. 10 Y de entre vosotros, todo hábil artesano vendrá y hará todas las cosas que YHVH ha ordenado: 11 El Tabernáculo, su Tienda y su cobertor, sus corchetes, sus tablones, sus barras, sus columnas y sus basas, 12 el Arca y sus varas, el propiciatorio y el velo de la cortina, 13 la mesa, sus varas, todos sus utensilios, y el pan de la proposición, 14 el candelabro de la iluminación, sus utensilios, sus lamparillas, y el aceite para la iluminación, 15 el altar del incienso y sus varas, el aceite de la unción y el incienso aromático, la cortina de la puerta para la entrada del Tabernáculo, 16 el altar del holocausto y su rejilla de bronce, sus varas, y todos sus utensilios, la fuente con su base, 17 las cortinas del atrio con sus columnas y sus bases, y la cortina de la entrada del atrio, 18 las estacas del Tabernáculo, las estacas del atrio y sus cuerdas, 19 las vestiduras ornamentadas para ministrar en el Santuario, las vestiduras sagradas para el sacerdote Aarón, y las vestiduras de sus hijos para servir como sacerdotes. 20 Entonces toda la congregación de los hijos de Israel salió de la presencia de Moisés. 21 Y todo aquel a quien su corazón impulsaba, y todo aquel a quien movía su espíritu, iba llevando la ofrenda a YHVH para la obra de la Tienda de Reunión, y para todo su servicio, y para las vestiduras santas. 22 Acudieron pues los hombres y las mujeres, todos los de corazón generoso, y llevaron aretes, zarcillos, sortijas y collares, toda clase de joyas de oro, también todo aquel que hubiera mecido una ofrenda mecida de oro para YHVH. 23 Y todo hombre que poseía azul, púrpura o carmesí, o lino fino, o pelo de cabras, o pieles rojas de carneros, o pieles de tejones, lo traía. 24 Todo aquel que alzaba una ofrenda de plata o de bronce, aportaba al donativo para YHVH. Y todo el que poseía madera de acacia para cualquier obra del servicio, la traía. 25 Además, toda mujer con habilidad, hilaba con sus manos y llevaba hilado el azul, el púrpura, el carmesí, y el torzal de lino fino. 26 Todas las mujeres cuyo corazón las había impulsado con sabiduría, tejieron el pelo de cabra. 27 Los magnates aportaron piedras de ónice, piedras de engaste para el efod y para el pectoral, 28 especias y aceite para la iluminación, para el aceite de la unción y para el incienso de las especias. 29 Todo hombre y mujer de los hijos de Israel, cuyo corazón los impulsaba a contribuir en toda la obra que YHVH había ordenado hacer por medio de Moisés, llevaron ofrenda voluntaria a YHVH. 30 Y dijo Moisés a los hijos de Israel: Mirad, YHVH ha llamado por nombre a Bezaleel ben Uri, hijo de Hur, de la tribu de Judá, 31 y lo ha llenado del Espíritu de Dios en sabiduría, inteligencia y ciencia y en toda suerte de obra 32 para proyectar diseños, para labrar el oro, la plata y el bronce, 33 y en talla de piedras para engastes, y para entallar maderas, para trabajar en toda labor ingeniosa. 34 También ha dotado su corazón para enseñar, tanto él como Oholiab ben Ahisamac, de la tribu de Dan, 35 a los cuales ha colmado el corazón de talento para que hagan toda obra de artesanía y de diseño, de bordado en azul y en púrpura, en carmesí y en torzal de lino fino, y de tejedor y hábil diseñador para toda clase de obra primorosa.
