1The Lord said to Moses,2“Speak to the people of Israel, that they take for me a contribution. From every man whose heart moves him you shall receive the contribution for me. (Ex 35:4; Ex 35:5; Ex 35:21; Ex 35:29; Ex 36:2; Jud 5:2; 1Ch 29:5; Ezr 1:6; Ezr 2:68; Ezr 3:5; Ezr 7:16; Ne 11:2; 2Co 8:12; 2Co 9:7)3And this is the contribution that you shall receive from them: gold, silver, and bronze,4blue and purple and scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, goats’ hair, (Ex 26:1; Ex 26:31; Ex 26:36)5tanned rams’ skins, goatskins,[1] acacia wood, (Ex 26:14)6oil for the lamps, spices for the anointing oil and for the fragrant incense, (Ex 27:20; Ex 30:7; Ex 30:23; Ex 30:34; Ex 31:11)7onyx stones, and stones for setting, for the ephod and for the breastpiece. (Ex 28:4; Ex 28:15)8And let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell in their midst. (Ex 29:45; Ex 36:1; 1Ki 6:13; 2Co 6:16; Heb 9:1; Re 21:3)9Exactly as I show you concerning the pattern of the tabernacle, and of all its furniture, so you shall make it. (Ex 25:40; Ex 26:1)
The Ark of the Covenant
10“They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Two cubits[2] and a half shall be its length, a cubit and a half its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. (Ex 37:1; De 10:3; Heb 9:4)11You shall overlay it with pure gold, inside and outside shall you overlay it, and you shall make on it a molding of gold around it. (Ex 25:24; Ex 30:3; Ex 37:2)12You shall cast four rings of gold for it and put them on its four feet, two rings on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it. (Ex 37:3)13You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.14And you shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark by them.15The poles shall remain in the rings of the ark; they shall not be taken from it. (1Ki 8:8)16And you shall put into the ark the testimony that I shall give you. (Ex 16:34; De 31:26; 1Ki 8:9)17“You shall make a mercy seat[3] of pure gold. Two cubits and a half shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth. (Ex 37:6; Heb 9:5)18And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. (Ex 25:31; Ex 37:7; Ex 37:17; Ex 37:22; Nu 8:4; Nu 10:2)19Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends. (Ex 37:8)20The cherubim shall spread out their wings above, overshadowing the mercy seat with their wings, their faces one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubim be. (1Ki 8:7; 1Ch 28:18; Heb 9:5)21And you shall put the mercy seat on the top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I shall give you.22There I will meet with you, and from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim that are on the ark of the testimony, I will speak with you about all that I will give you in commandment for the people of Israel. The Table for Bread
23“You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, a cubit its breadth, and a cubit and a half its height. (Ex 37:10; 1Ki 7:48; 2Ch 4:8; Heb 9:2)24You shall overlay it with pure gold and make a molding of gold around it. (Ex 25:11)25And you shall make a rim around it a handbreadth[4] wide, and a molding of gold around the rim.26And you shall make for it four rings of gold, and fasten the rings to the four corners at its four legs.27Close to the frame the rings shall lie, as holders for the poles to carry the table. (Ex 26:29; Ex 30:4; Ex 36:34; Ex 37:14; Ex 37:27; Ex 38:5)28You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, and the table shall be carried with these.29And you shall make its plates and dishes for incense, and its flagons and bowls with which to pour drink offerings; you shall make them of pure gold. (Ex 37:16; Nu 4:7)30And you shall set the bread of the Presence on the table before me regularly. (Le 24:5)
The Golden Lampstand
31“You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. The lampstand shall be made of hammered work: its base, its stem, its cups, its calyxes, and its flowers shall be of one piece with it. (Ex 37:17; 1Ki 7:49; Zec 4:2; Heb 9:2; Re 1:12)32And there shall be six branches going out of its sides, three branches of the lampstand out of one side of it and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side of it;33three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on one branch, and three cups made like almond blossoms, each with calyx and flower, on the other branch—so for the six branches going out of the lampstand.34And on the lampstand itself there shall be four cups made like almond blossoms, with their calyxes and flowers,35and a calyx of one piece with it under each pair of the six branches going out from the lampstand.36Their calyxes and their branches shall be of one piece with it, the whole of it a single piece of hammered work of pure gold.37You shall make seven lamps for it. And the lamps shall be set up so as to give light on the space in front of it. (Le 24:2; Nu 8:2; 2Ch 13:11)38Its tongs and their trays shall be of pure gold.39It shall be made, with all these utensils, out of a talent[5] of pure gold.40And see that you make them after the pattern for them, which is being shown you on the mountain. (Ex 25:9; Ex 26:30; Ex 27:8; Nu 8:4; 1Ch 28:11; 1Ch 28:19; Ac 7:44; Heb 8:5)

Onyxstenar och infattningsstenar till efoden och bröstskölden.8Jag vill nämligen att Israels folk ska göra ett heligt tempel åt mig, där jag kan bo bland dem.9Denna helgedom ska vara ett tält, ett tabernakel. Jag ska visa er exakt hur det ska tillverkas och inredas.
Arken
10Av akacieträ ska ni göra en kista, arken. Den ska vara 125 centimeter lång, 75 centimeter bred och 75 centimeter hög.11Drag över insidan och utsidan med rent guld och gör en rand av guld runt omkring den.12Sedan ska du gjuta fyra ringar av guld som du fäster vid kistans fötter, två på var sida.13-14Du ska göra stänger av akacieträ, överdragna med guld, som du ska skjuta in i ringarna på kistans sidor, så att man kan bära den med dem.15Stängerna ska sitta kvar i ringarna och får inte dras ut ur dem.16I arken ska du lägga stentavlorna med budorden, som jag ska ge dig.17Och du ska göra ett lock av rent guld, 125 centimeter långt och 75 centimeter brett. Detta är benådningsplatsen.18Gör sedan två keruber. Använd hamrat guld, och placera dem vid de båda ändarna av benådningsplatsen för era synder.19En kerub ska sitta vid den ena änden och en vid den andra, och du ska göra dem i ett stycke med locket.20Keruberna ska ha ansiktena vända mot varandra och se ner på benådningsplatsen, och de ska ha sina vingar utbredda över den.21Placera locket ovanpå kistan och lägg stentavlorna som jag ska ge dig i denna ark.22Detta ska bli vår mötesplats. Jag ska tala med dig från benådningsplatsen mellan keruberna. Och arken ska innehålla lagarna för mitt förbund. Där ska jag kungöra mina befallningar till Israels folk för dig.
Bordet
23Gör sedan ett bord av akacieträ, en meter långt, en halv meter brett och 75 centimeter högt.24Det ska du dra över med rent guld och göra en guldkant runtom.25Och du ska göra en list som är tio centimeter bred runt bordet och överdra den med guld.26-27Gör sedan fyra ringar av rent guld och sätt dem i de fyra hörnen vid benen alldeles intill listen. Ringarna ska vara för stänger att bära bordet med.28Gör stängerna av akacieträ, överdragna med guld.29Gör också fat, skålar, bägare och kannor av rent guld för drickoffret,30och låt alltid skådebröden ligga synliga på bordet inför mig.
Ljusstaken
31Gör också en ljusstake av rent, hamrat guld. Hela ljusstaken ska vara gjord i ett enda stycke: fot, stam, grenar och utsmyckningar med blad, knoppar och blommor.32-33Från stammen ska tre armar gå ut på vardera sidan. Varje arm ska dekoreras med tre mandelblommor.34-35Stammen ska dekoreras med fyra mandelblommor, en placerad under varje armpar och dessutom en överst på stammen.36Dessa dekorationer och armpar och själva ljusstaken ska vara gjorda i ett enda stycke av rent, hamrat guld.37Till dess armar ska du göra sju lamphållare för olja vända så att de lyser upp platsen framför dig.38Tänger för att trimma vekarna och brickor till dessa ska göras i rent guld.39Du kommer att behöva ungefär femtio kilo rent guld till detta.40Var noga med att göra allt detta efter de förebilder jag har visat dig på berget.
