1Then the angel[1] showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb (Ps 46:4; Eze 47:1; Zec 14:8; Re 21:6)2through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life[2] with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. (Ge 2:9; Eze 47:12; Re 2:7; Re 21:21; Re 21:24; Re 22:14; Re 22:19)3No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. Jesus Is Coming
6And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.” (1Co 14:32; Re 1:1; Re 21:5)7“And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Re 1:3; Re 3:11; Re 22:12; Re 22:20)8I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, (Re 1:1; Re 1:4; Re 1:9; Re 19:10)9but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” (Re 22:6; Re 22:8)10And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. (Re 10:4)11Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.” (Eze 3:27; Da 12:10; 2Ti 3:13)12“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. (Isa 40:10; Isa 62:11; Mt 16:27; Re 22:7; Re 22:20)13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Re 1:8; Re 1:17; Re 21:6)14Blessed are those who wash their robes,[3] so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. (Ps 118:20; Re 7:14; Re 21:27; Re 22:2; Re 22:19)15Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Mt 8:12; Ga 5:19; Php 3:2; Re 21:8)16“I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” (Nu 24:17; Isa 60:3; Mt 1:1; Mt 2:2; Re 1:1; Re 1:4; Re 2:28; Re 5:5)17The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. (Isa 55:1; Joh 7:37; Re 21:2; Re 21:6; Re 21:9)18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, (De 4:2; De 12:32; Pr 30:6)19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book. (Re 21:2; Re 22:2; Re 22:14)20He who testifies to these things says, “Surely I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! (2Ti 4:8; Re 22:7; Re 22:12)21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.[4] Amen.

1I ukázal mi potok čistý vody živé, světlý jako křišťál, tekoucí z trůnu Božího a Beránkova.2Uprostřed pak rynku jeho a s obou stran potoka bylo dřevo života, přinášející dvanáctero ovoce, na každý měsíc vydávající ovoce své, a listí své k zdraví národů.3A ničeho zlořečeného již více nebude, ale trůn Boží a Beránkův bude v něm, a služebníci jeho sloužiti jemu budou.4A tvář jeho viděti budou, a jméno jeho budeť na čelích jejich.5A noci tam nebude, aniž budou potřebovati svíce, ani světla slunečného; nebo Pán Bůh je osvěcuje, a kralovati budou na věky věků.6I řekl mi: Slova tato jsouť věrná a pravá, a Pán, jenž jest Bůh svatých proroků, poslal anděla svého, aby ukázal služebníkům svým, co se díti musí brzo.7Aj, přijduť rychle. Blahoslavený, kdož ostříhá slov proroctví knihy této.8Já pak Jan viděl jsem a slyšel tyto věci. A když jsem slyšel a viděl, padl jsem, klaněti se chtěje před nohama anděla toho, kterýž mi tyto věci ukazoval.9Ale řekl mi: Hleď, abys toho nečinil. Neboť jsem spoluslužebník tvůj a bratří tvých proroků, a těch, jenž ostříhají slov knihy této. Bohu se klaněj.10Potom řekl mi: Nezapečeťuj slov proroctví knihy této; neboť jest blízko čas.11Kdo škodí, škodiž ještě; a kdo smrdí, smrdiž ještě; a kdo jest spravedlivý, ospravedlniž se ještě; a svatý posvětiž se ještě.12A aj, přijduť brzo, a odplata má se mnou, abych odplatil jednomu každému podle skutků jeho.13Jáť jsem Alfa i Omega, počátek i konec, první i poslední.14Blahoslavení, kteříž zachovávají přikázání jeho, aby měli právo k dřevu života a aby branami vešli do města.15Vně pak budou psi a čarodějníci, a smilníci, a vražedlníci, a modláři, i každý, kdož miluje a činí lež.16Já Ježíš poslal jsem anděla svého, aby vám svědčil o těchto věcech v církvích. Já jsem kořen a rod Davidův, a hvězda jasná a jitřní.17A Duch i nevěsta řkou: Pojď. A kdož slyší, rciž: Přijď. A kdož žízní, přijdiž, a kdo chce, nabeř vody života darmo.18Osvědčujiť pak každému, kdož by slyšel slova proroctví knihy této, jestliže by kdo přidal k těmto věcem, žeť jemu přidá Bůh ran napsaných v knize této.19A jestliže by kdo ujal něco od slov proroctví tohoto, odejmeť Bůh díl jeho z knihy života, a z města svatého, a z těch věcí, kteréž jsou napsány v knize této.20Takť praví ten, kterýž svědectví vydává o těchto věcech: Jistěť přijdu brzo. Amen. Přijdiž tedy, Pane Ježíši.21Milost Pána našeho Jezukrista se všemi vámi. Amen.
