1Und Gott segnete Noah und seine Söhne und sprach zu ihnen: Seid fruchtbar und vermehrt euch und füllt die Erde! (1Mo 1,28)2Und Furcht und Schrecken vor euch sei auf allen Tieren der Erde und auf allen Vögeln des Himmels! Mit allem, was sich auf dem Erdboden regt, mit allen Fischen des Meeres sind sie in eure Hände gegeben. (1Mo 1,26)3Alles, was sich regt[1], was da lebt, soll euch zur Speise sein; wie das grüne Kraut – ⟨hiermit⟩ gebe ich es euch alles. (1Mo 1,29; 1Tim 4,3)4Nur Fleisch mit seiner Seele[2], seinem Blut, sollt ihr nicht essen! (3Mo 3,17; 1Sam 14,33; Hes 33,25; Apg 15,20)5Jedoch euer eigenes Blut[3] werde ich einfordern; von jedem Tiere[4] werde ich es einfordern, und von der Hand des Menschen, von der Hand eines jeden, ⟨nämlich⟩ seines Bruders, werde ich die Seele[5] des Menschen einfordern. (1Mo 1,27; 1Mo 42,22; 2Mo 21,12; 3Mo 24,17; 4Mo 35,16; 5Mo 19,11; 2Sam 4,11; 1Kön 2,6; 2Kön 11,1; 2Chr 33,24; Mt 26,52)7Ihr nun, seid fruchtbar, und vermehrt euch, wimmelt auf der Erde, und vermehrt euch auf ihr!8Und Gott sprach zu Noah und zu seinen Söhnen mit ihm:9Und ich, siehe, ich richte meinen Bund mit euch auf und mit euren Nachkommen nach euch (1Mo 6,18)10und mit jedem lebenden Wesen, das[6] bei euch ist, an Vögeln, an Vieh und an allen Tieren der Erde bei euch, von allem, was aus der Arche gegangen ist, von allen Tieren der Erde. (1Mo 8,19; Hos 2,20)11Ich richte meinen Bund mit euch auf, dass nie mehr alles Fleisch ausgerottet werden soll durch das Wasser der Flut, und nie mehr soll es eine Flut geben, die Erde zu vernichten. (1Mo 8,21)12Und Gott sprach: Dies ist das Zeichen des Bundes, den ich stifte zwischen mir und euch und jedem lebenden Wesen, das[7] bei euch ist, auf ewige Generationen hin:13Meinen Bogen setze ich in die Wolken, und er sei das Zeichen des Bundes zwischen mir und der Erde. (Hes 1,28)14Und es wird geschehen, wenn ich Wolken über die Erde aufwölke und der Bogen in den Wolken erscheint,15dann werde ich an meinen Bund denken, der zwischen mir und euch und jedem lebenden Wesen[8] unter allem Fleisch ⟨besteht⟩; und nie mehr soll das Wasser zu einer Flut werden, alles Fleisch zu vernichten. (1Mo 8,21)16Wenn der Bogen in den Wolken steht, werde ich ihn ansehen, um an den ewigen Bund zu denken zwischen Gott und jedem lebenden Wesen[9] unter allem Fleisch, das auf Erden ist. (1Mo 17,7; 2Sam 23,5; Hes 37,26)17Und Gott sprach zu Noah: Das ist das Zeichen des Bundes, den ich aufgerichtet habe zwischen mir und allem Fleisch, das auf Erden ist.
Noahs Fluch und Segen
18Und die Söhne Noahs, die aus der Arche gingen, waren Sem und Ham und Jafet. Und Ham, das ist der Vater Kanaans. (1Mo 5,32; 1Mo 10,6)19Diese drei sind die Söhne Noahs, und von ihnen ist die ganze Erde bevölkert worden[10]. (1Mo 10,1; Apg 17,26)20Und Noah, ein Landmann, begann auch, Weinberge zu pflanzen[11]. (1Mo 4,2)21Und er trank von dem Wein und wurde betrunken und lag entblößt im Innern seines Zeltes. (Spr 20,1; Eph 5,18)22Und Ham, der Vater Kanaans, sah die Blöße seines Vaters und berichtete es seinen beiden Brüdern draußen.23Da nahmen Sem und Jafet das Obergewand und legten es beide auf ihre Schultern und gingen ⟨damit⟩ rückwärts und bedeckten so die Blöße ihres Vaters; ihre Gesichter aber ⟨hielten sie⟩ so rückwärts⟨gewandt⟩, dass sie die Blöße ihres Vaters nicht sahen.24Und Noah erwachte von seinem Wein⟨rausch⟩ und erkannte, was sein jüngster Sohn ihm angetan hatte.25Und er sprach: Verflucht sei Kanaan! Ein Knecht der Knechte sei er seinen Brüdern!26Und er sprach: Gepriesen[12] sei der HERR, der Gott Sems; und Kanaan sei sein Knecht! (Jos 9,23; Ri 1,28)27Weiten Raum schaffe Gott dem Jafet[13], und er wohne in den Zelten Sems; und Kanaan sei sein Knecht!28Und Noah lebte nach der Flut ⟨noch⟩ 350 Jahre;29und alle Tage Noahs betrugen 950 Jahre, dann starb er. (1Chr 1,4)
1Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.2The fear and dread of you will fall on all the beasts of the earth, and on all the birds in the sky, on every creature that moves along the ground, and on all the fish in the sea; they are given into your hands.3Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.4‘But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it.5And for your lifeblood I will surely demand an accounting. I will demand an accounting from every animal. And from each human being, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of another human being.6‘Whoever sheds human blood, by humans shall their blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind.7As for you, be fruitful and increase in number; multiply on the earth and increase upon it.’8Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:9‘I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you10and with every living creature that was with you – the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you – every living creature on earth.11I establish my covenant with you: never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.’12And God said, ‘This is the sign of the covenant I am making between me and you and every living creature with you, a covenant for all generations to come:13I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth.14Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds,15I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life.16Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.’17So God said to Noah, ‘This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth.’
The sons of Noah
18The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.)19These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the whole earth.20Noah, a man of the soil, proceeded[1] to plant a vineyard.21When he drank some of its wine, he became drunk and lay uncovered inside his tent.22Ham, the father of Canaan, saw his father naked and told his two brothers outside.23But Shem and Japheth took a garment and laid it across their shoulders; then they walked in backwards and covered their father’s naked body. Their faces were turned the other way so that they would not see their father naked.24When Noah awoke from his wine and found out what his youngest son had done to him,25he said, ‘Cursed be Canaan! The lowest of slaves will he be to his brothers.’26He also said, ‘Praise be to the Lord, the God of Shem! May Canaan be the slave of Shem.27May God extend Japheth’s[2] territory; may Japheth live in the tents of Shem, and may Canaan be the slave of Japheth.’28After the flood Noah lived 350 years.29Noah lived a total of 950 years, and then he died.
