Gott verheißt Zion eine neue Rettungstat

1 Wach auf, wach auf! Kleide dich, Zion, in deine Kraft! Kleide dich in deine Prachtgewänder, Jerusalem, du heilige Stadt! Denn nicht mehr länger soll dich ein Unbeschnittener und ein Unreiner betreten. (Neh 11,1; Jes 35,8; Jes 48,2; Jes 51,9; Jes 60,1; Jes 60,21; Offb 21,27)

2 Schüttle den Staub von dir ab! Steh auf, setz dich hin, Jerusalem^[1]! Mach dich los von den Fesseln deines Halses, du gefangene Tochter Zion! 4 Denn so spricht der Herr, HERR: Nach Ägypten zog mein Volk im Anfang hinab, um sich dort als Fremder aufzuhalten; und Assur hat es am Ende^[2] bedrückt. 7 Wie schön sind auf den Bergen die Füße dessen, der ⟨frohe⟩ Botschaft bringt, der Frieden verkündet, der gute Botschaft bringt, der Rettung verkündet, der zu Zion spricht: Dein Gott herrscht als König! (Ps 93,1; Ps 96,10; Jes 24,23; Jes 61,1; Nah 2,1; Sach 9,9; Lk 11,2; Eph 6,15)

12 Denn nicht in Hast sollt ihr ausziehen und nicht in Flucht weggehen. Denn der HERR zieht vor euch her, und eure Nachhut ist der Gott Israels. (2Mo 14,19; Jos 4,11)

Viertes Lied: Der Knecht Gottes – Sein Leiden zur Gerechtigkeit für viele

13 Siehe, mein Knecht wird einsichtig handeln^[8]. Er wird erhoben und erhöht werden und sehr hoch sein. (Jes 42,1; Jer 23,5; Phil 2,9) 14 Wie sich viele über dich^[9] entsetzt haben – so entstellt war sein Aussehen, mehr als das irgendeines Mannes, und seine Gestalt mehr als die der Menschenkinder –, (Jes 53,2) 15 ebenso wird er viele Nationen besprengen^[10]; über ihn werden Könige ihren Mund schließen. 1 Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendour, Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. 2 Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, Daughter Zion, now a captive. 3 For this is what the Lord says: ‘You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.’ 4 For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: ‘At first my people went down to Egypt to live; lately, Assyria has oppressed them. 5 ‘And now what do I have here?’ declares the Lord. ‘For my people have been taken away for nothing, and those who rule them mock,^[1]’ declares the Lord. ‘And all day long my name is constantly blasphemed. 6 Therefore my people will know my name; therefore in that day they will know that it is I who foretold it. Yes, it is I.’ 7 How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!’ 8 Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. Come out from it and be pure, you who carry the articles of the Lord’s house. 12 But you will not leave in haste or go in flight; for the Lord will go before you, the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

The suffering and glory of the servant

13 See, my servant will act wisely^[2]; he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. 14 Just as there were many who were appalled at him^[3] – his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness – 15 so he will sprinkle many nations,^[4] and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what they were not told, they will see, and what they have not heard, they will understand.
