(Ps 71,20; Ps 75,9; Jes 51,17)6Denen, die dich fürchten, hast du ein Signal gegeben, dass sie sich vor dem Bogen in Sicherheit bringen ⟨können⟩. // (Ps 108,7)7Damit deine Geliebten befreit werden, rette ⟨mich mit⟩ deiner Rechten und erhöre mich[3]!8Gott hat geredet in seinem Heiligtum[4]: »Jubeln will ich, will Sichem verteilen und das Tal Sukkot ausmessen.9Mein ist Gilead und mein Manasse, und Ephraim ist die Bergfestung meines Hauptes, Juda mein Herrscherstab. (1Mo 49,10)10Moab ist mein Waschbecken, auf Edom will ich meine Sandale werfen; Philistäa, jauchze mir zu!«11Wer wird mich führen in die feste Stadt, wer[5] wird mich leiten[6] bis nach Edom?12Hast du, Gott, uns nicht verworfen? Du ziehst nicht aus, Gott, mit unseren Heeren. (Ps 44,10)13Schaffe uns Hilfe vor dem Bedränger! Menschenhilfe ist ja wertlos[7]. (Ps 33,16)14Mit Gott werden wir mächtige Taten tun; und er, er wird unsere Bedränger zertreten. (Ps 18,30; Ps 44,6; Röm 16,20)

Who will lead me to the land of Edom?10God, isn’t it you, even though you have now turned away from us? Isn’t it you, even though you don’t lead our armies into battle anymore?11Help us against our enemies. The help people give doesn’t amount to anything.12With your help we will win the battle. You will walk all over our enemies.
