1Ein Psalm. Von Asaf. Gott[1], Gott, der HERR, hat geredet und die Erde gerufen, vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang. (1Chr 6,24; Ps 73,1)2Aus Zion, der Schönheit Vollendung, ist Gott hervorgestrahlt. (5Mo 33,2; Ps 48,3; Ps 80,2; Ps 94,1; Kla 2,15)3Unser Gott kommt, und er wird nicht schweigen; Feuer frisst vor ihm her, und rings um ihn stürmt es gewaltig. (Ps 18,9; Ps 96,13; Jes 35,4; Dan 7,10; Offb 1,7)4Er ruft dem Himmel droben und der Erde zu, um sein Volk zu richten:5»Versammelt mir meine Getreuen, die meinen Bund geschlossen haben beim Opfer!« (2Mo 24,3)6Und der Himmel verkündet seine Gerechtigkeit, dass Gott Richter ist, er selbst. // (1Mo 18,25; Ps 97,6)7»Höre, mein Volk, und ich will reden, Israel, und ich will dich verwarnen[2]! Ich bin Gott, dein Gott. (2Mo 20,2; Ps 81,9)8Nicht wegen deiner Schlachtopfer tadle ich dich, auch deine Brandopfer sind beständig vor mir. (Jer 7,21)9Ich nehme keinen Stier aus deinem Haus, noch Böcke aus deinen Hürden. (Ps 40,7; Apg 17,25)10Denn mein ist alles Getier des Waldes, das Vieh auf tausend Bergen[3]. (Ps 24,1)11Ich kenne alle Vögel der Berge, und was sich tummelt im Feld, ist mir bekannt.12Wenn mich hungerte, ich würde es dir nicht sagen; denn mein ist die Welt und ihre Fülle. (1Kor 10,26)13Sollte ich das Fleisch von Stieren[4] essen und das Blut von Böcken trinken?14Opfere Gott Dank und erfülle dem Höchsten deine Gelübde; (5Mo 23,22; Ps 22,26; Ps 61,9; Ps 69,32; Ps 76,12; Nah 2,1; Hebr 13,15)15und rufe mich an am Tag der Not; ich will dich retten, und du wirst mich verherrlichen!« (Ps 4,2; Ps 34,5; Ps 77,3; Ps 86,5; Ps 120,1; Mt 8,25; Lk 18,43; Jak 5,13)16Zu dem Gottlosen aber spricht Gott: »Was hast du meine Ordnungen herzusagen und nimmst meinen Bund in deinen Mund?17Du hast ja die Zucht[5] gehasst und meine Worte hinter dich geworfen. (Spr 1,29; Spr 15,10)18Sahst du einen Dieb, so befreundetest[6] du dich mit ihm, und mit Ehebrechern hattest du Gemeinschaft. (Röm 1,32)19Deinen Mund schicktest du los zum Bösen, und deine Zunge spannte Betrug[7] davor. (Ps 10,7; Ps 52,4)20Du saßest da, redetest gegen deinen Bruder, gegen den Sohn deiner Mutter stießest du Schmähung aus. (3Mo 19,16)21Das hast du getan, und ich schwieg; du dachtest, ich sei ganz wie du. Ich werde dich zurechtweisen und es dir vor Augen stellen. (Pred 12,14; Jes 57,11)22Merkt doch dies, die ihr Gott vergesst, damit ich nicht zerreiße, und keiner kann retten! (5Mo 32,39; Ps 9,18)23Wer Dank opfert, verherrlicht mich[8] und bahnt einen Weg[9]; ihn werde ich das Heil Gottes[10] sehen lassen.« (Ps 34,5; Ps 91,16; Ps 120,1; Lk 18,43; Hebr 13,15)
1The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks. He calls out to the earth from the sunrise in the east to the sunset in the west.2From Zion, perfect and beautiful, God’s glory shines out.3Our God comes, and he won’t be silent. A burning fire goes ahead of him. A terrible storm is all around him.4He calls out to heaven and earth to be his witnesses. Then he judges his people.5He says, ‘Gather this holy people around me. They made a covenant with me by offering a sacrifice.’6The heavens announce that what God decides is right. That’s because he is a God of justice.7God says, ‘Listen, my people, and I will speak. I will be a witness against you, Israel. I am God, your God.8I don’t bring charges against you because of your sacrifices. I don’t bring charges because of the burnt offerings you always bring me.9I don’t need a bull from your barn. I don’t need goats from your pens.10Every animal in the forest already belongs to me. And so do the cattle on a thousand hills.11I own every bird in the mountains. The insects in the fields belong to me.12If I were hungry, I wouldn’t tell you. The world belongs to me. And so does everything in it.13Do I eat the meat of bulls? Do I drink the blood of goats?14Bring me thank-offerings, because I am your God. Carry out the promises you made to me, because I am the Most High God.15Call out to me when trouble comes. I will save you. And you will honour me.’16But here is what God says to a sinful person. ‘What right do you have to speak the words of my laws? How dare you speak the words of my covenant!17You hate my teaching. You turn your back on what I say.18When you see a thief, you join him. You make friends with those who commit adultery.19You use your mouth to speak evil. You use your tongue to spread lies.20You are a witness against your brother. You always tell lies about your own mother’s son.21When you did these things, I kept silent. So you thought I was just like you. But now I’m going to bring you to court. I will bring charges against you.22‘You who forget God, think about this. If you don’t, I will tear you to pieces. No one will be able to save you.23People who sacrifice thank-offerings to me honour me. To those who are without blame I will show my power to save.’
