1 Von David. Ein Psalm. Von Gnade und Recht will ich singen; dir, HERR, will ich spielen. (Ps 92,2; Mi 6,8; Eph 5,19) 2 [1] Ich will einsichtig handeln auf vollkommenem Weg.[2] Wann wirst du zu mir kommen?[3] Ich will mit lauterem Herzen wandeln in[4] meinem Hause. (2Mo 20,24; Ps 26,11) 3 Ich will keine heillosen Dinge[5] ins Auge fassen; Übertretungen zu begehen, hasse ich; das soll nicht an mir kleben. (Ps 41,9; Spr 6,12; Spr 8,13) 4 Ein verkehrtes Herz soll von mir weichen, Böses[6] will ich nicht kennen. (Ps 26,4; Mt 7,23) 5 Wer seinen Nächsten heimlich verleumdet, den will ich stumm machen[7]. Wer stolze Augen und ein hochmütiges Herz hat, den will ich nicht dulden. (3Mo 19,16; Spr 20,19; Spr 21,4) 6 Meine Augen sind auf die Treuen im Lande ⟨gerichtet⟩, damit sie bei mir wohnen. Wer auf vollkommenem Weg wandelt, der darf mir dienen. 7 In meinem Haus[8] soll nicht wohnen, wer Trug übt. Wer Lügen redet, soll nicht bestehen vor meinen Augen. (Ps 5,7) 8 Jeden Morgen will ich alle Gottlosen des Landes stumm machen[9], um aus der Stadt des HERRN alle Übeltäter auszurotten. (Ps 92,10; Spr 20,26)

1 I will sing about your love and fairness. LORD, I will sing praise to you. 2 I will be careful to lead a life that is without blame. When will you come and help me? In my own home I will lead a life that is without blame. 3 I won’t look at anything that is evil and call it good. I hate the acts of people who aren’t faithful to you. I won’t have anything to do with those things. 4 I will stay away from those whose hearts are twisted. I won’t have anything to do with what is evil. 5 I will get rid of anyone who tells lies about their neighbour in secret. I won’t put up with anyone whose eyes and heart are proud. 6 I will look with favour on the faithful people in the land. They will live with me. Those whose lives are without blame will serve me. 7 No one who lies and cheats will live in my house. No one who tells lies will serve me. 8 Every morning I will get rid of all the sinful people in the land. I will remove from the city of the LORD everyone who does what is evil.
