1Und der HERR redete zu Mose und sprach:2Rede zu den Söhnen Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ihr in das Land eurer Wohnsitze kommt, das ich euch geben werde,3und ihr dem HERRN ein Feueropfer opfert, ein Brandopfer oder ein Schlachtopfer, um ein Gelübde zu erfüllen oder als freiwillige Gabe oder an euren Festen[1], um dem HERRN einen wohlgefälligen Geruch[2] zu bereiten von Rindern oder Schafen; (3Mo 1,2; 3Mo 1,9; 3Mo 7,16; 3Mo 22,18; 3Mo 23,1)4dann soll der, der dem HERRN seine Gabe darbringt, als Speisopfer darbringen ein Zehntel Weizengrieß, gemengt[3] mit einem viertel Hin Öl; (3Mo 6,14; 4Mo 7,13)5und als Trankopfer sollst du ein viertel Hin Wein opfern zu dem Brandopfer oder zu dem Schlachtopfer, bei jedem Schaf. (2Mo 29,40; 3Mo 23,13; 4Mo 28,7; Esr 7,17)6Oder bei einem Widder sollst du als Speisopfer zwei Zehntel Weizengrieß opfern, gemengt[4] mit einem drittel Hin Öl;7und als Trankopfer sollst du ein drittel Hin Wein darbringen: ein wohlgefälliger Geruch[5] für den HERRN. (4Mo 6,15; Phil 2,17)8Und wenn du ein junges Rind als Brandopfer oder als Schlachtopfer opferst, um ein Gelübde zu erfüllen, oder als Heilsopfer[6] für den HERRN,9dann soll man zu dem jungen Rind als Speisopfer drei Zehntel Weizengrieß darbringen, gemengt[7] mit einem halben Hin Öl;10und als Trankopfer sollst du ein halbes Hin Wein darbringen: ein Feueropfer von wohlgefälligem Geruch[8] für den HERRN.11So soll es gemacht werden bei jedem Rind oder bei jedem Widder oder bei jedem Schaf oder bei jeder Ziege;12nach der Zahl, die ihr opfert, sollt ihr so bei einem jeden machen nach ihrer Zahl.13Jeder Einheimische soll das so tun, wenn er ein Feueropfer von wohlgefälligem Geruch[9] dem HERRN darbringt.14Und wenn ein Fremder bei euch wohnt oder wer in eurer Mitte ist bei euren ⟨künftigen⟩ Generationen, und er opfert dem HERRN ein Feueropfer von wohlgefälligem Geruch[10], dann soll er es ebenso tun, wie ihr es tut.15In der Versammlung soll ein ⟨und dieselbe⟩ Ordnung ⟨gelten⟩ für euch und für den Fremden, der ⟨bei euch⟩ wohnt, eine ewige Ordnung für eure Generationen; wie ihr, so soll der Fremde sein vor dem HERRN. (2Mo 12,14; Est 9,27)16Ein ⟨und dasselbe⟩ Gesetz und ein ⟨und dasselbe⟩ Recht soll für euch ⟨gelten⟩ und für den Fremden, der bei euch wohnt. (2Mo 12,49; Jos 8,33; 1Kön 8,41)17Und der HERR redete zu Mose und sprach:18Rede zu den Söhnen Israel und sage zu ihnen: Wenn ihr in das Land kommt, in das ich euch bringen werde,19dann soll es geschehen, wenn ihr von dem Brot des Landes esst, dann sollt ihr dem HERRN ein Hebopfer abheben:20als Erstling eures Schrotmehls sollt ihr einen Kuchen als Hebopfer abheben; wie das Hebopfer der Tenne, so sollt ihr dieses abheben. (3Mo 2,12; 3Mo 23,17; Spr 3,9; Hes 44,30)21Von dem Erstling eures Schrotmehls sollt ihr dem HERRN ein Hebopfer geben in ⟨allen⟩ euren ⟨künftigen⟩ Generationen. (2Mo 23,19; Neh 10,38; Röm 11,16)22Und wenn ihr aus Versehen sündigt und nicht alle diese Gebote tut, die der HERR zu Mose geredet hat, (3Mo 4,2)23alles, was der HERR für euch durch Mose aufgetragen hat von dem Tag an, als der HERR Gebote gab, und weiterhin für eure Generationen,24dann soll es geschehen, wenn es vor den Augen der Gemeinde verborgen, aus Versehen geschehen ist, dann soll die ganze Gemeinde einen Jungstier als Brandopfer opfern zum wohlgefälligen Geruch[11] dem HERRN samt seinem Speisopfer und seinem Trankopfer, nach der Vorschrift, und einen Ziegenbock[12] als Sündopfer. (3Mo 4,13; 3Mo 23,19)25Und der Priester soll Sühnung erwirken für die ganze Gemeinde der Söhne Israel, und es wird ihnen vergeben werden; denn es war ein Versehen, und sie haben ihre Opfergabe, ein Feueropfer für den HERRN, und ihr Sündopfer vor den HERRN gebracht wegen ihrer Sünde aus Versehen[13]. (3Mo 4,20)26Und es wird der ganzen Gemeinde der Söhne Israel vergeben werden und dem Fremden, der in ihrer Mitte wohnt; denn dem ganzen Volk ⟨geschah es⟩ aus Versehen. (Hebr 5,2)27Und wenn eine einzelne Person[14] aus Versehen sündigt, dann soll sie eine einjährige Ziege als Sündopfer darbringen. (3Mo 4,27)28Und der Priester soll Sühnung erwirken für die Person[15], die sich versehentlich vergangen hat durch eine Sünde aus Versehen vor dem HERRN, um Sühnung für sie zu erwirken; und es wird ihr vergeben werden. (3Mo 4,20)29Für den Einheimischen unter den Söhnen Israel und für den Fremden, der in ihrer Mitte wohnt, sollt ihr ein ⟨und dasselbe⟩ Gesetz haben für den, der aus Versehen etwas tut. (2Mo 12,49; Jos 8,33; 1Kön 8,41)30Aber die Person[16], die mit erhobener Hand handelt, von den Einheimischen und von den Fremden, die lästert den HERRN; und diese Person[17] soll ausgerottet werden aus der Mitte ihres Volkes, (2Mo 30,33; 4Mo 9,13; 5Mo 17,12; Hebr 2,2)31denn das Wort des HERRN hat sie verachtet und sein Gebot aufgehoben; diese Person[18] soll unbedingt ausgerottet werden: Ihre Schuld ist auf ihr. (2Mo 30,33; 4Mo 9,13; 5Mo 17,12; 1Sam 3,14; 2Sam 12,9; Hebr 2,2)
Steinigung nach Entweihung des Sabbats
32Und als die Söhne Israel in der Wüste waren, da fanden sie einen Mann, der am Sabbattag Holz auflas. (2Mo 20,8)33Und die ihn gefunden hatten, wie er Holz auflas, brachten ihn zu Mose und zu Aaron und zu der ganzen Gemeinde. (2Mo 18,22)34Und sie legten ihn in Gewahrsam, denn es war nicht genau bestimmt, was mit ihm getan werden sollte. (2Mo 18,14)35Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Der Mann soll unbedingt getötet werden; die ganze Gemeinde soll ihn außerhalb des Lagers steinigen. (2Mo 31,14; 3Mo 24,14)36Da führte ihn die ganze Gemeinde vor das Lager hinaus, und sie steinigten ihn, dass er starb, so wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte. (1Kön 21,13; Apg 7,58)
Erinnerungshilfe für Gottes Gebote
37Und der HERR sprach zu Mose:38Rede zu den Söhnen Israel und sage zu ihnen, dass sie sich eine Quaste an den Zipfeln ihrer Oberkleider machen sollen für ⟨alle⟩ ihre ⟨künftigen⟩ Generationen und dass sie an die Quaste des Zipfels eine Schnur aus violettem Purpur setzen sollen. (5Mo 22,12; Mt 9,20; Mt 23,5)39Und das soll euch zur ⟨Merk⟩quaste werden, und ihr sollt sie ansehen und dabei an alle Gebote des HERRN denken und sie tun, und ihr sollt nicht eurem Herzen und euren Augen nachfolgen[19], deren Gelüsten[20] ihr nach hurt, (Hi 31,7; Hes 6,9)40damit ihr an alle meine Gebote denkt und sie tut und heilig seid eurem Gott. (3Mo 11,44; Ps 103,18; Röm 12,1; 2Petr 1,15)41Ich bin der HERR, euer Gott, der ich euch aus dem Land Ägypten herausgeführt habe, um euer Gott zu sein; ich bin der HERR, euer Gott. 1Here is what the LORD said to Moses.2‘Say to the Israelites, “You are going to enter the land I am giving you as a home.3When you do, you will present food offerings to the LORD. The animals must come from your herd or flock. The smell of the offerings will please the LORD. They can be either burnt offerings or sacrifices. They can be either for special promises or for feast offerings. Or they can be for offerings you choose to give.4With each of the offerings, the person who brings it must present to the LORD a grain offering. It must be 1.5 kilograms of the finest flour. It must be mixed with a litre of olive oil.5Also prepare a litre of wine as a drink offering. You must present it with each lamb that you bring for the burnt offering or the sacrifice.6‘ “Prepare a grain offering to present along with a ram. The grain offering must be 3 kilograms of the finest flour. It must be mixed with 1.5 litres of olive oil.7You must bring 1.5 litres of wine as a drink offering. Offer everything as a smell that pleases the LORD.8‘ “Suppose you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice. You prepare it to keep a special promise to the LORD. Or you prepare it to present as a friendship offering.9Then bring a grain offering with the bull. The grain offering must be 4.5 kilograms of the finest flour. It must be mixed with 2 litres of olive oil.10Also bring 2 litres of wine as a drink offering. It will be a food offering. Its smell will please the LORD.11Each bull or ram must be prepared in the same way. Each lamb or young goat must also be prepared in that way.12Do it for each animal. Do it for as many animals as you prepare.13‘ “Everyone in Israel must do those things in that way. He must do them when he presents a food offering. The smell of offerings like that pleases the LORD.14Everyone must always do what the law requires. It does not matter whether they are an outsider or anyone else living among you. They must do exactly as you do when they present a food offering. The smell of offerings like that pleases the LORD.15The community must have the same rules for you and for any outsider living among you. This law will last for all time to come. In the sight of the LORD, the law applies both to you and any outsider.16The same laws and rules will apply to you and to any outsider living among you.” ’17The LORD said to Moses,18‘Speak to the Israelites. Say to them, “You are going to enter the land I am taking you to.19You will eat its food. When you do, present part of it as an offering to the LORD.20Present a loaf made from the first flour you grind. Present it as an offering from the threshing-floor.21You must present the offering to the LORD. You must present it from the first corn you grind. You must do it for all time to come.
Offerings for sins that aren’t committed on purpose
22‘ “Suppose you as a community fail to keep any of the commands the LORD gave Moses. And suppose you do it without meaning to.23That applies to any of the commands the LORD told Moses to give you. And they are in effect from the day the LORD gave them and for all time to come.24Suppose the community sins without meaning to. And suppose they do not know they have sinned. Then the whole community must offer a young bull. They must sacrifice it for a burnt offering. Its smell will please the LORD. Along with it, they must offer its required grain offering and drink offering. They must also sacrifice a male goat for a sin offering.25With it the priest will pay for the sin of the whole community of Israel. Then they will be forgiven. They did not mean to commit that sin. And they have presented to the LORD a food offering for the wrong thing they did. They have brought a sin offering with it.26The LORD will forgive the whole community of Israel and the outsiders living among them. All the people had a part in the sin, even though they did not mean to do it.27‘ “But suppose just one person sins without meaning to. Then that person must bring a female goat for a sin offering. It must be a year old.28With it the priest will pay for the person’s sin in front of the LORD. The priest will do it for the one who did wrong by sinning without meaning to. When the sin is paid for, that person will be forgiven.29The same law applies to everyone who sins without meaning to. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider.30‘ “But suppose someone sins on purpose. It does not matter whether they are an Israelite or an outsider. They speak evil things against the LORD. They must be separated from the community of Israel.31They have not respected what the LORD has said. They have broken the LORD’s commands. They must certainly be separated from the community. They are still guilty.” ’
A man works on the Sabbath day
32The Israelites were in the desert. One Sabbath day, people saw a man gathering wood.33They brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole community.34They kept him under guard. It wasn’t clear what should be done to him.35Then the LORD said to Moses, ‘The man must die. The whole community must kill him by throwing stones at him. They must do it outside the camp.’36So the people took the man outside the camp. There they killed him by throwing stones at him. They did just as the LORD had commanded Moses.
Tassels on clothes
37The LORD said to Moses,38‘Say to the Israelites, “You must make tassels on the corners of your clothes. A blue cord must be on each tassel. You must do it for all time to come.39You will have the tassels to look at. They will remind you to obey all the LORD’s commands. Then you will be faithful to him. You will not chase after what your own hearts and eyes wish for.40You will remember to obey all my commands. And you will be set apart for your God.41I am the LORD your God. I brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.” ’
