(Hebr 9,10)3Alles, was gespaltene Hufe hat, und zwar wirklich aufgespaltene Hufe, ⟨und was⟩ wiederkäut[2] ⟨unter den Tieren⟩, das dürft ihr essen.4Nur diese von den wiederkäuenden und von denen, die gespaltene Hufe haben, dürft ihr nicht essen: das Kamel, denn es käut wieder, aber gespaltene Hufe hat es nicht: unrein soll es euch sein;5den Klippdachs[3], denn er käut wieder[4], aber er hat keine gespaltenen Hufe: unrein soll er euch sein; (Spr 30,26)6den Hasen, denn er käut wieder[5], aber er hat keine gespaltenen Hufe: unrein soll er euch sein;7das Schwein, denn es hat gespaltene Hufe, und zwar wirklich aufgespaltene Hufe, aber es käut nicht wieder: unrein soll es euch sein. (Jes 65,4)8Von ihrem Fleisch dürft ihr nicht essen und ihr Aas nicht berühren; unrein sollen sie euch sein.9Dieses dürft ihr essen von allem, was im Wasser ist: Alles, was Flossen und Schuppen hat im Wasser, in den Meeren und in den Flüssen, das dürft ihr essen.10Aber alles, was keine Flossen und Schuppen hat in den Meeren und in den Flüssen von allem Gewimmel des Wassers und von jedem Lebewesen[6], das im Wasser ist, sie sollen euch etwas Abscheuliches sein.11Ja, etwas Abscheuliches sollen sie euch sein: Von ihrem Fleisch sollt ihr nicht essen, und ihr Aas sollt ihr verabscheuen.12Alles im Wasser, was nicht Flossen und Schuppen hat, soll euch etwas Abscheuliches sein.13Und diese von den Vögeln sollt ihr verabscheuen – sie sollen nicht gegessen werden, etwas Abscheuliches sind sie: den Adler[7] und den Lämmergeier und den Mönchsgeier14und die Gabelweihe und die Königsweihe nach ihrer Art,15alle Raben nach ihrer Art16und die Straußenhenne[8] und den Falken[9] und die Seemöwe[10] und den Habicht nach seiner Art17und den Steinkauz und die Fischeule und den Ibis[11]18und die Schleiereule und den Wüstenkauz und den Aasgeier19und den Storch und den Fischreiher[12] nach seiner Art und den Wiedehopf und die Fledermaus.20Alles geflügelte Kleingetier[13], das auf vieren geht, soll euch etwas Abscheuliches sein.21Nur dieses dürft ihr essen von allem geflügelten Kleingetier[14], das auf vieren geht: was Unterschenkel hat[15] oberhalb seiner Füße, um damit auf der Erde zu hüpfen.22Diese dürft ihr von ihnen essen: den Arbe nach seiner Art und den Solam nach seiner Art und den Hargol nach seiner Art und den Hagab nach seiner Art[16]. (Mt 3,4)23Aber alles geflügelte Kleingetier[17], das vier Füße hat, soll euch etwas Abscheuliches sein.24Und durch diese[18] werdet ihr euch unrein machen. Jeder, der ihr Aas berührt, wird unrein sein bis zum Abend, (3Mo 5,2; 3Mo 14,46; 3Mo 15,1; 3Mo 16,26; 3Mo 17,15; 3Mo 22,6; 4Mo 19,7)25und jeder, der von ihrem Aas ⟨etwas⟩ trägt, soll seine Kleider waschen und wird bis zum Abend unrein sein. Jeder, der sie berührt, wenn sie tot sind, wird bis zum Abend unrein sein. (3Mo 14,46; 3Mo 15,1; 3Mo 16,26; 3Mo 17,15; 3Mo 22,6; 4Mo 19,7)32Und alles, worauf eines von ihnen fällt, wenn sie tot sind, wird unrein sein: jedes Holzgerät oder ein Kleid oder Fell oder Sack, jedes Gerät, womit eine Arbeit verrichtet wird, es soll ins Wasser getan werden und wird bis zum Abend unrein sein; dann wird es rein sein. (3Mo 14,46; 3Mo 15,1; 3Mo 16,26; 3Mo 17,15; 3Mo 22,6; 4Mo 19,7)33Und jedes Tongefäß, in das eines von ihnen hineinfällt: alles, was darin ist, wird unrein sein, und das Gefäß sollt ihr zerbrechen. (3Mo 6,21; 4Mo 19,15)34Von aller Speise, die gegessen wird, auf die ⟨solches⟩ Wasser kommt⟨, gilt⟩: Sie wird unrein sein. Und alles Getränk, das getrunken wird, wird unrein sein in jedem ⟨solchen⟩ Gefäß.35Und alles, worauf ⟨etwas⟩ von ihrem Aas fällt, wird unrein sein. Ofen und Herd sollen niedergerissen werden, unrein sind sie, unrein sollen sie euch sein.36Doch Quelle und Zisterne, Wasserbehälter werden rein sein. Wer aber das Aas darin[22] berührt, wird unrein sein.37Und wenn von ihrem Aas ⟨etwas⟩ auf irgendwelche Saat fällt, die gesät wird, ist sie rein.38Wenn aber Wasser auf den Samen getan wurde, und es fällt von ihrem Aas ⟨etwas⟩ auf ihn, soll er euch unrein sein.39Und wenn eins von dem Vieh stirbt, das euch zur Nahrung dient: Wer sein Aas berührt, wird bis zum Abend unrein sein. (3Mo 14,46; 3Mo 15,1; 3Mo 16,26; 3Mo 17,15; 3Mo 22,6; 4Mo 19,7; 5Mo 14,21; Hes 4,14)41Und alles Kleingetier[23], das auf der Erde wimmelt, ist etwas Abscheuliches: es soll nicht gegessen werden.42Alles, was auf dem Bauch kriecht, und alles, was auf vieren geht, bis zu allem Vielfüßigen von allem Kleingetier[24], das auf der Erde wimmelt: ihr sollt sie nicht essen; denn etwas Abscheuliches sind sie.43Macht euch selbst nicht zu etwas Abscheulichem durch all das wimmelnde Kleingetier, und macht euch nicht unrein durch sie, sodass ihr dadurch unrein werdet!44Denn ich bin der HERR, euer Gott. So heiligt euch und seid heilig, denn ich bin heilig! Und ihr sollt euch selbst[25] nicht unrein machen durch all das Kleingetier[26], das sich auf der Erde regt. (2Mo 19,6; 2Mo 20,2; 2Mo 22,30; 3Mo 19,2; 3Mo 19,36; 3Mo 20,7; Jos 24,19; 1Sam 2,2; 1Thess 4,3; 1Petr 1,15)46Das ist das Gesetz ⟨betreffs⟩ des Viehs und der Vögel und ⟨betreffs⟩ jedes Lebewesens[27], das sich im Wasser regt, und von jedem Wesen, das auf der Erde wimmelt;47um zu unterscheiden zwischen dem Unreinen und dem Reinen und zwischen dem Getier, das gegessen wird, und dem Getier, das nicht gegessen werden soll. Here are the only ones you can eat.3You can eat any animal that has hooves that are separated completely in two. But it must also chew the cud.4‘ “Some animals only chew the cud. Some only have hooves that are separated in two. You must not eat those animals. Camels chew the cud. But their hooves are not separated in two. So they are ‘unclean’ for you.5Rock badgers chew the cud. But their hooves are not separated in two. So they are ‘unclean’ for you.6Rabbits chew the cud. But their hooves are not separated in two. So they are ‘unclean’ for you.7Pigs have hooves that are separated completely in two. But they do not chew the cud. So they are ‘unclean’ for you.8You must not eat the meat of those animals. You must not even touch their dead bodies. They are ‘unclean’ for you.9‘ “Many creatures live in the water of the oceans and streams. You can eat all those that have fins and scales.10Treat as ‘unclean’ all the creatures in the oceans or streams that do not have fins and scales. That includes all those that move together in groups and all those that do not.11Treat them as ‘unclean’. Do not eat their meat. Treat their dead bodies as ‘unclean’.12Regard as ‘unclean’ everything that lives in the water that does not have fins and scales.13‘ “Here are the birds you must treat as ‘unclean’. Do not eat them because they are ‘unclean’. The birds include eagles, vultures and black vultures.14They include red kites and all kinds of black kites.15They include all kinds of ravens.16They include horned owls, screech owls, gulls and all kinds of hawks.17They include little owls, cormorants and great owls.18They include white owls, desert owls and ospreys.19They also include storks, hoopoes, bats and all kinds of herons.20‘ “Treat as ‘unclean’ every flying insect that walks on all fours.21But you can eat some flying insects that walk on all fours. Their legs have joints so they can hop on the ground.22Here are the insects you can eat. You can eat all kinds of locusts, cicadas, crickets and grasshoppers.23Treat as ‘unclean’ every other creature with wings and four legs.24‘ “You will make yourselves ‘unclean’ if you eat these things. If you touch their dead bodies, you will be ‘unclean’ until evening.25If a person picks up one of their dead bodies, that person must wash their clothes. They will be ‘unclean’ until evening.26‘ “Suppose an animal has hooves that are not separated completely in two. Or suppose an animal does not chew the cud. Then these animals are ‘unclean’ for you. If you touch the dead body of any of them, you will be ‘unclean’.27Many animals walk on all fours. But those that walk on their paws are ‘unclean’ for you. Anyone who touches their dead bodies will be ‘unclean’ until evening.28If a person picks up their dead bodies, that person must wash their clothes. They will be ‘unclean’ until evening. These animals are ‘unclean’ for you.29‘ “Many animals move along the ground. Here are the ones that are ‘unclean’ for you. They include weasels, rats and all kinds of large lizards.30They also include geckos, monitor lizards, wall lizards, skinks and chameleons.31These are the animals that move around on the ground that are ‘unclean’ for you. If you touch their dead bodies, you will be ‘unclean’ until evening.32Suppose one of them dies and falls on something. Then that thing will be ‘unclean’. It does not matter what it is used for. It does not matter whether it is made out of wood, cloth, hide or rough cloth. Put it in water. It will be ‘unclean’ until evening. After that, it will be ‘clean’.33Suppose one of these animals falls into a clay pot. Then everything in the pot will be ‘unclean’. You must break the pot.34Any food that could be eaten but has water on it that came from that pot is ‘unclean’. And any liquid that could be drunk from it is ‘unclean’.35Anything that the dead body of one of these animals falls on becomes ‘unclean’. If it is an oven or cooking pot, break it. It is ‘unclean’. And you must consider it ‘unclean’.36But a spring or a well for collecting water remains ‘clean’. That is true even if the dead body of one of these animals falls into it. But anyone who touches the dead body is not ‘clean’.37If the dead body falls on any seeds that have not been planted yet, the seeds remain ‘clean’.38But suppose water has already been put on the seeds. And suppose the dead body falls on them. Then they are ‘unclean’ for you.39‘ “Suppose an animal you are allowed to eat dies. If anyone touches its dead body, they will be ‘unclean’ until evening.40If they eat part of the dead body, they must wash their clothes. They will be ‘unclean’ until evening. If they pick up the dead body, they must wash their clothes. They will be ‘unclean’ until evening.41‘ “Treat as ‘unclean’ every creature that moves along the ground. Do not eat it.42Do not eat any of these creatures. It does not matter whether they move on their bellies. It does not matter whether they walk on all fours or on many feet. It is ‘unclean’.43Do not make yourselves ‘unclean’ by eating any of these animals. Do not make yourselves ‘unclean’ because of them. Do not let them make you ‘unclean’.44I am the LORD your God. Set yourselves apart. Be holy, because I am holy. Do not make yourselves ‘unclean’ by eating any creatures that move around on the ground.45I am the LORD. I brought you up out of Egypt to be your God. So be holy, because I am holy.46‘ “These are the rules about animals and birds. These are the rules about every living thing that moves around in the water. And these are the rules about every creature that moves along the ground.47You must be able to tell the difference between what is ‘clean’ and what is not. You must also be able to tell the difference between living creatures that can be eaten and those that can’t.” ’
