1 Dem Chorleiter. Von David. Ein Psalm. Ein Lied. 2 Gott wird sich erheben, es werden sich zerstreuen seine Feinde, und die ihn hassen, werden fliehen vor seinem Angesicht. (4Mo 10,35) 3 Wie Rauch auseinandergetrieben wird, so treibst du ⟨sie⟩ auseinander; wie Wachs vor dem Feuer zerschmilzt, so werden die Gottlosen umkommen vor dem Angesicht Gottes. (Ps 37,20; Ps 75,4) 4 Aber freuen werden sich die Gerechten, sie werden jauchzen vor dem Angesicht Gottes und jubeln in Freude. (Ps 5,12; Ps 16,11; Ps 97,11) 5 Singt Gott, spielt seinem Namen! 6 Ein Vater der Waisen und ein Richter der Witwen ist Gott in seiner heiligen Wohnung. (Ps 10,14) 7 Gott ist es, der Einsame zu Hause wohnen lässt, Gefangene hinausführt ins Glück; Widerspenstige jedoch bleiben in der Dürre. (Ps 107,34; Ps 146,7; Jes 61,1) 8 Gott, als du auszogst vor deinem Volk, als du einherschrittest durch die Wüste, // (2Mo 13,18) 9 bebte die Erde, auch troff der Himmel vor Gott, dem vom Sinai, vor Gott, dem Gott Israels. (Ri 5,4; Hebr 12,26) 10 Reichlich Regen gießt du aus, Gott; dein Erbteil – wenn es ermattet war, hast du es wieder aufgerichtet. (Ps 65,10; Jes 40,29) 11 Deine Schar ist darin sesshaft geworden; du sorgst in deiner Güte für den Elenden, Gott! 12 Der Herr erlässt einen Ausspruch: »Siegesbotinnen, eine große Schar!« 13 Die Könige der Heere fliehen, sie fliehen! Und ⟨auf der⟩ Stätte des Hauses verteilt ⟨man⟩ Beute^[3]: (4Mo 31,27; Jos 10,16) 14 – Wollt ihr zwischen den Hürden liegen?^[4] – Die Flügel einer Taube, mit Silber überzogen und ihre Schwungfedern mit grüngelbem Gold. 15 Wenn der Allmächtige Könige im Land^[5] zerstreut, schneit es auf dem Zalmon. (Ri 9,48) 16 Ein Berg Gottes ist der Berg Baschans, ein gipfelreicher Berg ist der Berg Baschans. 17 Warum lauert ihr neidisch, ihr gipfelreichen Berge, auf den Berg, den Gott zu seinem Wohnsitz begehrt hat? Ja, der HERR wird ⟨dort⟩ wohnen für immer. (Ps 9,12; Jes 2,2) 18 Der Wagen Gottes sind zehntausendmal Tausende – Erhabenheit!; der Herr^[6] ist unter ihnen, Sinai im Heiligtum^[7]. 19 Du bist hinaufgestiegen zur Höhe, du hast Gefangene gefangen weggeführt, hast Gaben empfangen bei den Menschen; und sogar Widerspenstige ⟨sind bereit⟩, sich Jah, Gott, zu unterwerfen. (Eph 4,8) 20 Gepriesen sei der Herr Tag für Tag! Er trägt für uns ⟨Last⟩, Gott ist unsere Rettung. // (2Mo 15,2) 21 Gott ist uns ein Gott der Rettungen, und bei dem HERRN, dem Herrn, ⟨stehen⟩ die Auswege vom Tod. (Ps 91,3; Jes 12,2) 22 Gewiss, Gott wird zerschmettern das Haupt seiner Feinde, den Haarscheitel dessen, der da wandelt in seinen Verschuldungen. (Ps 110,6) 23 Der Herr sprach: »Ich werde zurückbringen aus Baschan, zurückbringen aus den Tiefen des Meeres, (Am 9,3) 24 damit du deinen Fuß in Blut badest^[8], die Zunge deiner Hunde von den Feinden ihr Teil habe.« 25 Gesehen haben sie deine Umzüge^[9], Gott, die Umzüge meines Gottes, meines Königs, ins^[10] Heiligtum. (Ps 63,3; Ps 77,14) 26 Voran gingen Sänger, danach Saitenspieler, inmitten Tamburin schlagender Mädchen. (2Mo 15,20; Ps 87,7) 27 »Preist Gott in Versammlungen, den HERRN^[11], die ihr aus dem Quell Israels seid!« (Ps 26,12; Jes 48,1) 28 Da sind Benjamin, der Jüngste, ihr Herrscher, die Obersten Judas, ihre lärmende Menge; die Obersten Sebulons, die Obersten Naftalis. (Ri 4,10; 1Sam 9,21) 29 ^[12] Entbiete, Gott^[13], deine Macht, Gottes Macht, die du für uns gewirkt hast (Phil 1,6) 30 von deinem Tempel über Jerusalem^[14]! Könige werden dir Geschenke bringen. (Ps 72,10; Sach 8,22) 31 Schilt^[15] das Tier des Schilfs, die Schar der Starken mit den Kälbern der Völker; tritt denen entgegen^[16], die nach Silber rennen^[17]. Zerstreue^[18] die Völker, die Lust haben am Krieg! 32 Es werden kommen Bronzesachen^[19] aus Ägypten; Äthiopien soll seine Hände ausstrecken^[20] zu Gott. (Jes 19,21) 33 Ihr Königreiche der Erde, singt Gott, spielt dem Herrn, // (Ps 66,1) 34 ihm, der einherfährt auf dem Himmel, dem Himmel der Vorzeit! Siehe, er lässt seine Stimme erschallen, eine mächtige Stimme. (5Mo 33,26; Ps 29,4) 35 Gebt Gott Macht! Seine Hoheit ist über Israel und seine Macht in den Wolken. (5Mo 33,26; Ps 29,1; Mt 24,30) 36 Furchtbar ⟨bist du⟩, Gott, aus deinen Heiligtümern^[21] her. Der Gott Israels, er ist es, der Stärke und Kraft gibt dem Volk. Gepriesen sei Gott! Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him. 2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God. 3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice. 4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him. 5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. 6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land . 7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah: 8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel. 9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary. 10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor. 11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it . 12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil. 13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold. 14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon. 15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan. 16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever. 17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place . 18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them . 19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. 20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death. 21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses. 22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea: 23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same. 24 They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary. 25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels. 26 Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel. 27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali. 28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us. 29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee. 30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war. 31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God. 32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah: 33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice. 34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds. 35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people.
