Unheil für das Gebirge Edom, Heil für die Berge Israels

1 Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir so: (Jes 21,11; Jes 34,5; Jer 49,7; Hes 25,12; Am 1,11; Ob 1,1) 

2 Menschensohn, richte dein Gesicht gegen das Gebirge Seïr, und weissage über es (5Mo 2,5) 

3 und sage zu ihm: So spricht der Herr, HERR: Siehe, ich will an dich, Gebirge Seïr; und ich strecke meine Hand gegen dich aus und mache dich zum Entsetzen und Grausen; (Joe 4,19) 

4 deine Städte mache ich zur Trümmerstätte, und du selbst wirst Ödland sein. Und du wirst erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. (Joe 4,19) 

5 Weil du eine beständige Feindschaft hegtest und die Söhne Israel der Gewalt des Schwertes preisgabst zur Zeit ihres Unglücks, zur Zeit der endgültigen Strafe; 

6 darum, so wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr, HERR, ja, ich mache dich zu Blut, und Blut wird dich verfolgen; weil du Blut nicht gehasst hast, soll Blut dich verfolgen. (Ps 109,17; Offb 16,6) 

7 Und ich mache das Gebirge Seïr zum Entsetzen und Grausen und rotte den, der hinzieht und zurückkehrt aus ihm, aus. (Mal 1,3) 

8 Und seine Berge fülle ich mit seinen Erschlagenen an. Auf deinen Hügeln und in deinen Tälern und in allen deinen Bachrinnen sollen vom Schwert Erschlagene fallen. (Hes 32,5) 

9 Zu ewigen Einöden mache ich dich, und deine Städte sollen nicht mehr bewohnt werden. Und ihr werdet erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. (Hes 6,14) 

10 Weil du sagst: Die beiden Nationen und die beiden Länder gehören mir, und ich nehme sie in Besitz, wo doch der HERR dort war; (4Mo 35,34; Ps 83,13; Hes 36,2; Hes 48,35) 

11 darum, so wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr, HERR, werde ich ⟨an dir⟩ handeln nach deinem Zorn und nach deiner Eifersucht, mit denen du aus Hass gegen sie gehandelt hast; und ich werde mich ihnen zu erkennen geben, wenn ich dich gerichtet habe. (Jak 2,13) 

12 Und du wirst erkennen, dass ich, der HERR, alle deine Lästerungen gehört habe, die du gegen die Berge Israels ausgesprochen hast, indem du sagtest: Sie liegen verwüstet da, uns sind sie zum Fraß gegeben. (Ps 79,12; Zef 2,8) 

13 Und ihr habt mit eurem Mund gegen mich großgetan und eure Worte gegen mich überreichlich gemacht; ich habe es gehört. (4Mo 12,2; Ps 74,18; Ps 94,9; Jes 37,29) 

14 So spricht der Herr, HERR: Wie du dich gefreut hast, ⟨dass⟩ das ganze Land eine Einöde war, ⟨so⟩ will ich dir tun. (Jes 14,7) 

15 Wie du deine Freude hattest an dem Erbteil des Hauses Israel, weil es verwüstet war, ebenso werde ich dir tun: eine Einöde sollst du werden, Gebirge Seïr und ganz Edom insgesamt! Und sie werden erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. (Kla 4,21; Hes 25,6; Hes 36,5)

King James Version

1 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 

2 Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it, 

3 And say unto it, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O mount Seir, I am against thee, and I will stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate. 

4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt know that I am the LORD. 

5 Because thou hast had a perpetual hatred, and hast shed the blood of the children of Israel by the force of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time that their iniquity had an end: 

6 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: sith thou hast not hated blood, even blood shall pursue thee. 

7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth. 

8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain men : in thy hills, and in thy valleys, and in all thy rivers, shall they fall that are slain with the sword. 

9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 

10 Because thou hast said, These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there: 

11 Therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will even do according to thine anger, and according to thine envy which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make myself known among them, when I have judged thee. 

12 And thou shalt know that I am the LORD, and that I have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying, They are laid desolate, they are given us to consume. 

13 Thus with your mouth ye have boasted against me, and have multiplied your words against me: I have heard them . 

14 Thus saith the Lord GOD; When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate. 

15 As thou didst rejoice at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea, even all of it: and they shall know that I am the LORD.
