1 Ihr Kinder, gehorcht euren Eltern im Herrn! Denn das ist recht. (Pr 6:20; Col 3:20)

2 »Ehre deinen Vater und deine Mutter« – das ist das erste Gebot mit Verheißung –, (Ex 20:12; Lu 18:20)

3 »damit es dir wohlgeht und du lange lebst auf der Erde.« (De 5:16)

4 Und ihr Väter, reizt eure Kinder nicht zum Zorn, sondern zieht sie auf in der Zucht und Ermahnung des Herrn! (Pr 3:11; Col 3:21)

Verhältnis von Sklaven und Herren

5 Ihr Sklaven, gehorcht euren irdischen Herren mit Furcht und Zittern, in Einfalt eures Herzens, als dem Christus; (1Ti 6:1; Tit 2:9; 1Pe 2:18)

6 nicht mit Augendienerei, als Menschengefällige, sondern als Sklaven Christi, indem ihr den Willen Gottes von Herzen tut! (Ga 1:10; Col 3:22)

7 Dient mit Gutwilligkeit als dem Herrn und nicht den Menschen! (Ro 12:11; Col 3:23)

8 Ihr wisst doch, dass jeder, der Gutes tut, dies vom Herrn empfangen wird, er sei Sklave oder Freier. (2Co 5:10; Col 3:24)

9 Und ihr Herren, tut dasselbe ihnen gegenüber, und lasst das Drohen!, da ihr wisst, dass sowohl ihr als auch euer Herr in den Himmeln ist und dass es bei ihm kein Ansehen der Person gibt. (Ac 10:34; Col 4:1)

Die Waffenrüstung Gottes

10 Schließlich: Werdet stark im Herrn und in der Macht seiner Stärke! (1Co 16:13; 2Ti 2:1)

11 Zieht die ganze Waffenrüstung Gottes an, damit ihr gegen die Listen des Teufels bestehen könnt! (Ro 13:12; 2Co 2:11)

12 Denn unser Kampf ist nicht gegen Fleisch und Blut, sondern gegen die Gewalten, gegen die Mächte, gegen die Weltbeherrscher dieser Finsternis, gegen die geistigen ⟨Mächte⟩ der Bosheit in der Himmelswelt. (Lu 22:53; Ro 8:38; Eph 1:3; Col 1:13)

13 Deshalb ergreift die ganze Waffenrüstung Gottes, damit ihr an dem bösen Tag widerstehen und, wenn ihr alles ausgerichtet habt, stehen ⟨bleiben⟩ könnt! (Jas 4:7)

14 So steht nun, eure Lenden umgürtet mit Wahrheit, bekleidet mit dem Brustpanzer der Gerechtigkeit (Isa 11:5; Lu 12:35; Php 4:8; 1Th 5:8; 1Pe 1:13)

15 und beschuht an den Füßen mit der Bereitschaft ⟨zur Verkündigung⟩ des Evangeliums des Friedens! (Isa 52:7)

16 Bei alledem ergreift den Schild des Glaubens, mit dem ihr alle feurigen Pfeile des Bösen auslöschen könnt!

17 Nehmt auch den Helm des Heils und das Schwert des Geistes, das ist Gottes Wort! (Isa 59:17; Heb 4:12)

18 Mit allem Gebet und Flehen betet zu jeder Zeit im Geist, und wacht hierzu in allem Anhalten und Flehen für alle Heiligen (Mt 26:41; Lu 18:1; Col 4:2; 1Ti 2:1; Jud 1:20)

19 ⟨und⟩ auch für mich, damit mir Rede verliehen wird, wenn ich den Mund öffne, mit Freimütigkeit das Geheimnis des Evangeliums bekannt zu machen (Ac 4:29; Col 4:3)

20 – für das ich ein Gesandter in Ketten bin –, damit ich in ihm freimütig rede, wie ich reden soll. (Ac 28:31; 2Co 5:20; Col 4:4; 2Ti 2:9)

Sendung des Tychikus – Segenswunsch

21 Damit aber auch ihr meine Umstände wisst, wie es mir geht, wird Tychikus, der geliebte Bruder und treue Diener im Herrn, euch alles berichten. (Ac 20:4)

22 Ihn habe ich eben deshalb zu euch gesandt, dass ihr unsere Umstände erfahrt und er eure Herzen tröste. (Col 4:7; 2Ti 4:12)

23 Friede den Brüdern und Liebe mit Glauben von Gott, dem Vater, und dem Herrn Jesus Christus! (Eph 1:2; 1Pe 5:14)

24 Die Gnade sei mit all denen, die unseren Herrn Jesus Christus lieben in Unvergänglichkeit! (Col 4:18)

Ephesians 6

King James Version

1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.

2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;)

3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.

4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.

5 Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;

6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:

8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

9 And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him.

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.

21 But that ye also may know my affairs, and how I do, Tychicus, a beloved brother and faithful minister in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

22 Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that ye might know our affairs, and that he might comfort your hearts.

23 Peace be to the brethren, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

24 Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in sincerity. Amen.
