1 Ein Wallfahrtslied. Als der HERR die Gefangenen^[1] Zions zurückführte, waren wir wie Träumende. (Esr 1,11; Ps 14,7; Ps 85,2; Jer 33,26)

2 Da wurde unser Mund voll Lachen und unsere Zunge voll Jubel. Da sagte man unter den Nationen: »Der HERR hat Großes an ihnen getan!« (Hi 8,21; Jes 35,10; Jes 51,11; Hes 36,36)

3 Der HERR hat Großes an uns getan: Wir waren fröhlich! (Joe 2,21; Lk 1,49; Lk 8,39) 4 Bringe zurück, HERR, unsere Gefangenen^[2], gleich den Bächen im Südland. (Jes 41,18; Jer 29,14; Jer 30,3) 5 Die mit Tränen säen, werden mit Jubel ernten. (Jer 31,9; Mt 5,4) 6 Er geht weinend hin und trägt den Samen zum Säen^[3]. Er kommt heim mit Jubel und trägt seine Garben. (Ps 30,6)

Restore Our Fortunes, O Lord

1 A Song of Ascents. When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. (Ps 14,7; Ps 120,1; Apg 12,9) 2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.” (Hi 8,21; Ps 71,19) 3 The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad. 4 Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like streams in the Negeb! 5 Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! (Esr 6,22; Neh 12,43; Jer 31,9; Hag 2,3; Gal 6,9)
