1 Juble, du Unfruchtbare, die nicht geboren, brich in Jubel aus und jauchze, die keine Wehen gehabt hat! Denn die Söhne der Einsamen^[1] sind zahlreicher als die Söhne der Verheirateten, spricht der HERR. (1Sam 2,5; Ps 113,9; Jes 49,20; Gal 4,27)

2 Mache weit den Raum deines Zeltes, und deine Zeltdecken spanne aus^[2]! Spare nicht! Mache deine Seile lang, und deine Pflöcke stecke fest! (Jes 26,15; Mi 7,11) 3 Denn du wirst dich nach rechts und links ausbreiten, und deine Nachkommen werden Nationen beerben und verödete Städte besiedeln. 6 Denn wie eine entlassene und tiefgekränkte^[4] Frau hat dich der HERR gerufen und wie die Frau der Jugend, wenn sie verstoßen ist – spricht dein Gott. 9 Wie die Tage^[5] Noahs ⟨gilt⟩ mir dies, als ich schwor, dass die Wasser Noahs die Erde nicht mehr überfluten sollten, so habe ich geschworen, dass ich dir nicht mehr zürnen noch dich bedrohen^[6] werde. (1Mo 8,21; Jes 51,22; Jer 31,36) 10 Denn die Berge mögen weichen und die Hügel wanken, aber meine Gnade wird^[7] nicht von dir weichen und mein Friedensbund nicht wanken, spricht der HERR, dein Erbarmer. 11 Du Elende, Sturmbewegte, Ungetröstete! Siehe, ich lege deine Steine in Hartmörtel^[8] und lege deine Grundmauern mit Saphiren. (Kla 1,16) 12 Ich mache deine Zinnen aus Rubinen und deine Tore aus Karfunkeln und deine ganze Einfassung^[9] aus Edelsteinen. (Sach 9,16; Offb 21,18) 13 Und alle deine Kinder werden von dem HERRN gelehrt^[10], und der Friede deiner Kinder^[11] wird groß sein. (Ps 119,33; Jes 48,18; Jer 31,34; Joh 6,45)

14 Durch Gerechtigkeit wirst du fest gegründet sein. Sei fern von Bedrängnis, denn du brauchst dich nicht zu fürchten, und von Schrecken, denn er wird sich dir nicht nähern! (Spr 3,24; Jes 32,17; Hos 10,12) 15 Siehe, wenn man auch angreift, so ⟨geschieht⟩ es nicht von mir aus. Wer dich angreift, wird deinetwegen fallen. (Sach 12,9) 16 Siehe, ich selbst habe den Schmied geschaffen, der das Kohlenfeuer anbläst und die Waffe hervorbringt als sein Werk^[12]; und ich selbst habe den Verderber geschaffen, um zugrunde zu richten. (Sach 2,1) 17 Keiner Waffe, die gegen dich geschmiedet wird, soll es gelingen; und jede Zunge, die vor Gericht gegen dich aufsteht, wirst du schuldig sprechen. 1 “Sing, O barren one, who did not bear; break forth into singing and cry aloud, you who have not been in labor! For the children of the desolate one will be more than the children of her who is married,” says the Lord.
