1 A Psalm for giving thanks. Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! (Ps 50,14; Ps 66,1) 2 Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing! (Ps 2,11; Ps 95,2) 3 Know that the Lord, he is God! It is he who made us, and we are his;[1] we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. (1Kön 18,39; Hi 10,3; Hi 10,8; Ps 74,1; Ps 95,6; Jes 43,1; Hes 34,30) 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name! It is he who made us, and we are his[1]; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 For the Lord is good and his love endures for ever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.

We are the sheep belonging to his flock. 4 Give thanks as you enter the gates of his temple. Give praise as you enter its courtyards. Give thanks to him and praise his name. 5 The LORD is good. His faithful love continues for ever. It will last for all time to come.

Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. 3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. 5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
