Meine Seele, preise den HERRN, und alles, was in mir ist, seinen heiligen Namen!2Meine Seele, preise den HERRN und vergiss nicht all das Gute, das er für dich getan hat!3Er ist es, der dir all deine Schuld vergibt und all deine Krankheiten heilt.4Er ist es, der dein Leben aus dem Tod erlöst, der dich krönt mit Güte und Erbarmen.5Er überschüttet dich mit Gutem. Wie ein Adler, so erneuert sich deine Jugendkraft.6Nur Gerechtes tut der HERR und schafft Recht allen, die unterdrückt werden.7Seine Wege hat er Mose gezeigt und seine Taten dem Volk Israel.8Voll Erbarmen und Freundlichkeit ist der HERR, voller Geduld und reich an Güte.9Nicht auf Dauer klagt er an und nicht für immer dauert sein Zorn.10Nicht nach unseren Sünden behandelt er uns und nicht nach unseren Verfehlungen vergilt er uns.11Denn so hoch sich die Himmel über die Erde erheben, so viel höher ist seine Güte gegenüber denen, die ihn ehren.12So weit der Osten entfernt ist vom Westen, so fern lässt er unsere Verfehlungen von uns sein.13Wie ein Vater sich seiner Kinder liebevoll annimmt, so nimmt sich der HERR derer an, die ihm mit Ehrfurcht begegnen.14Denn er weiß, aus welchem Stoff wir gemacht sind, er weiß, dass wir Staub sind.15Der Mensch: Wie Gras sind seine Tage, er blüht auf wie die Blume auf dem Feld.16Doch wenn der Wind darüber weht, dann ist sie nicht mehr da und keiner weiß mehr, wo sie gestanden hat.17Doch die Güte des HERRN bleibt von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit über denen, die ihn ehren, und seine Gerechtigkeit bei all ihren Nachkommen.18So geht es denen, die seinen Bund bewahren und sich seine Gebote merken und danach handeln.19Der HERR hat seinen Thron in den Himmeln errichtet, ja, seine Herrschaft umfasst das All.20Preist den HERRN, ihr seine Engel, ihr mächtigen Helden, die ihr seinen Willen ausführt, auf die Stimme seines Wortes zu hören!21Preist den HERRN, ihr alle seine Heere, ihr, seine Diener, die ihr das tut, was ihm gefällt!22Preist den HERRN, ihr alle seine Werke an allen Orten seiner Herrschaft, ja, meine Seele, preise den HERRN!
