1I appeal to you therefore, brothers,[1] by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.[2] (诗50:13; 羅6:13; 羅6:16; 羅6:19; 林前1:10; 林前6:20; 林后10:1; 弗4:1; 來10:20; 彼前2:5)2Do not be conformed to this world,[3] but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.[4] (诗51:10; 林后4:16; 弗4:23; 弗5:10; 西3:10; 帖前4:3; 多3:5; 彼前1:14; 约一2:15)
Gifts of Grace
3For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned. (羅1:5; 羅11:20; 羅12:16; 林前7:17; 弗4:7)4For as in one body we have many members,[5] and the members do not all have the same function, (林前12:12; 弗4:4; 弗4:16)5so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 4:25)6Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; 4:10)7if service, in our serving; the one who teaches, in his teaching; (徒6:1)8the one who exhorts, in his exhortation; the one who contributes, in generosity; the one who leads,[6] with zeal; the one who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness.
Marks of the True Christian
9Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. 1:22)10Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. (羅13:7; 腓2:3; 來13:1; 彼前2:17)11Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit,[7] serve the Lord. (徒18:25; 徒20:19)12Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (徒1:14; 羅5:2; 來10:36)13Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality. 13:16)14Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse them. (太5:44; 彼前3:9)15Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. (伯30:25; 林前12:26; 來13:3)16Live in harmony with one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly.[8] Never be wise in your own sight. 3:8)17Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. (箴20:22; 太5:39; 羅14:16; 羅14:19; 林后8:21)18If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. (可9:50)19Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it[9] to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 10:30)20To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” (出23:4; 王下6:22; 箴25:21; 路6:27)21Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
