1Of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold[1] of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (出15:2; 诗23:4; 诗84:11; 诗118:14; 赛12:2; 赛60:20; 赛62:11; 弥7:8)2When evildoers assail me to eat up my flesh, my adversaries and foes, it is they who stumble and fall. (诗14:4)3Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet[2] I will be confident. (诗3:6)4One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire[3] in his temple. (诗23:6; 诗26:8; 诗65:4; 诗84:1; 诗90:17; 路2:37)5For he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock. (伯5:21; 诗31:20; 诗40:2; 诗91:1; 赛4:6)6And now my head shall be lifted up above my enemies all around me, and I will offer in his tent sacrifices with shouts of joy; I will sing and make melody to the Lord. (民10:10; 诗3:3; 弗5:19; 西3:16)7Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud; be gracious to me and answer me! (诗30:10)8You have said, “Seek[4] my face.” My heart says to you, “Your face, Lord, do I seek.”[5] (诗24:6; 诗105:4)9Hide not your face from me. Turn not your servant away in anger, O you who have been my help. Cast me not off; forsake me not, O God of my salvation! (诗24:5; 诗69:17; 诗102:2; 诗143:7)10For my father and my mother have forsaken me, but the Lord will take me in. (赛40:11; 赛49:15; 赛63:16)11Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies. (诗5:8; 诗25:4)12Give me not up to the will of my adversaries; for false witnesses have risen against me, and they breathe out violence. (王上21:13; 诗35:11; 诗41:2; 太26:59; 可14:55; 徒9:1)13I believe that I shall look[6] upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living! (出33:19; 伯28:13; 诗52:5; 诗116:9; 诗142:5)14Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord! (申31:7; 书1:6; 书1:9; 书1:18; 诗31:24; 诗37:34; 诗62:5; 箴20:22)
