1And God spoke all these words, saying, (申5:6; 申5:22)2“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. (利26:13; 诗81:10; 何13:4)3“You shall have no other gods before[1] me. (王下17:35; 耶25:6; 耶35:15)4“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. (利26:1; 申27:15; 诗97:7; 徒17:29)5You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me, (出23:24; 出34:7; 出34:14; 民14:18; 申4:24; 申6:15; 书23:7; 书24:19; 诗79:8; 诗109:14; 赛65:6; 耶32:18; 鸿1:2)6but showing steadfast love to thousands[2] of those who love me and keep my commandments.7“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain. (利19:12; 太5:34; 雅5:12)8“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. (出31:13; 利19:3; 利19:30; 利26:2)9Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, (出23:12; 出34:21; 出35:2; 利23:3; 路13:14)10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. (创2:2; 出16:26; 出31:15; 民15:32; 尼13:16; 结20:12)11For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. (创1:1)12“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the Lord your God is giving you. (利19:3; 耶35:18; 太15:4; 太19:19; 可7:10; 可10:19; 路18:20; 弗6:2; 弗6:3)13“You shall not murder.[3] (创9:5; 太5:21; 太19:18; 羅13:9; 约一3:15)14“You shall not commit adultery. (利18:20; 申22:22; 箴6:32; 太5:27; 羅13:9; 林前6:9; 來13:4)15“You shall not steal. (利19:11; 太19:18; 羅13:9; 弗4:28)16“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor. (出23:1; 申19:16; 箴19:5; 箴19:9; 箴21:28; 箴24:28; 箴25:18; 太19:18)17“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house; you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.” (耶5:8; 弥2:2; 太5:28; 路12:15; 羅7:7; 羅13:9; 弗5:3; 弗5:5; 西3:5; 來13:5)18Now when all the people saw the thunder and the flashes of lightning and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking, the people were afraid[4] and trembled, and they stood far off (來12:18)19and said to Moses, “You speak to us, and we will listen; but do not let God speak to us, lest we die.” (申5:25; 申5:27; 申18:16; 加3:19; 來12:19)20Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin.” (创22:1; 申13:3; 撒上12:20)21The people stood far off, while Moses drew near to the thick darkness where God was. (申4:11; 撒下22:10; 王上8:12; 诗18:9; 诗97:2)
