od Česká biblická společnost1 A ukázal mi řeku živé vody, čiré jako křišťál, která vyvěrala u trůnu Božího a Beránkova.2 Uprostřed města na náměstí, z obou stran řeky, bylo stromoví života nesoucí ovoce dvanáctkrát do roka; každý měsíc dozrává na něm ovoce a jeho listí má léčivou moc pro všechny národy.3 A nebude tam nic proklatého. Bude tam trůn Boží a Beránkův; jeho služebníci mu budou sloužit,4 budou hledět na jeho tvář a na čele ponesou jeho jméno.5 Noci tam již nebude a nebudou potřebovat světlo lampy ani světlo slunce, neboť Pán Bůh bude jejich světlem a budou s ním kralovat na věky věků.

6 A řekl mi: „Tato slova jsou věrná a pravá; Pán, Bůh dávající Ducha prorokům, poslal svého anděla, aby oznámil svým služebníkům, co se má brzo stát:7 Hle, přijdu brzo. Blaze tomu, kdo se drží proroctví této knihy.“ 8 To jsem slyšel a viděl já, Jan. A když jsem to uslyšel a spatřil, padl jsem na kolena k nohám anděla, který mi to oznamoval.9 Ale on mi řekl: „Střez se toho! Jsem jen služebník jako ty a tvoji bratří proroci a ti, kdo se drží slov této knihy. Před Bohem poklekni!“ 10 A řekl mi: „Nezapečeťuj knihu se slovy tohoto proroctví: čas je blízko.11 Kdo křivdí, ať křivdí dál, kdo je pošpiněn, ať zůstane ve špíně – kdo je spravedlivý, ať zůstane spravedlivý, kdo je svatý, ať setrvá ve svatosti.12 Hle, přijdu brzo, a má odplata se mnou; odplatím každému podle toho, jak jednal.13 Já jsem Alfa i Omega, první i poslední, počátek i konec.14 Blaze těm, kdo si vyprali roucha, a tak mají přístup ke stromu života i do bran města.15 Venku zůstanou nečistí, zaklínači, smilníci, vrahové, modláři – každý, kdo si libuje ve lži. 16 Já, Ježíš, posílám svého posla, aby vám to dosvědčil po všech církvích. Já jsem potomek z rodu Davidova, jasná hvězda jitřní.“ 17 A Duch i nevěsta praví: „Přijď!“ A kdokoli to slyší, ať řekne: „Přijď!“ Kdo žízní, ať přistoupí; kdo touží, ať zadarmo nabere vody života. 18 Já dosvědčuji každému, kdo slyší slova proroctví této knihy: Kdo k nim něco přidá, tomu přidá Bůh ran popsaných v této knize.19 A jestliže kdo ubere ze slov knihy tohoto proroctví, tomu Bůh odejme podíl na stromu života a místo ve svatém městě, jak se o nich píše v této knize.20 Ten, od něhož je to svědectví, praví: „Ano, přijdu brzo.“ Amen, přijď, Pane Ježíši! 21 Milost Pána Ježíše se všemi.
1Then the angel[1] showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb (Ž 46,4; Ez 47,1; Za 14,8; Zj 21,6)2through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life[2] with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Jesus Is Coming
6And he said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place.” (1K 14,32; Zj 1,1; Zj 21,5)7“And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” (Zj 1,3; Zj 3,11; Zj 22,12; Zj 22,20)8I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me, (Zj 1,1; Zj 1,4; Zj 1,9; Zj 19,10)9but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.” (Zj 22,6; Zj 22,8)10And he said to me, “Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near. (Zj 10,4)11Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy.” (Ez 3,27; Da 12,10; 2Tm 3,13)12“Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done. (Iz 40,10; Iz 62,11; Mt 16,27; Zj 22,7; Zj 22,20)13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.” (Zj 1,8; Zj 1,17; Zj 21,6)14Blessed are those who wash their robes,[3] so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star.” (Nu 24,17; Iz 60,3; Mt 1,1; Mt 2,2; Zj 1,1; Zj 1,4; Zj 2,28; Zj 5,5)17The Spirit and the Bride say, “Come.” And let the one who hears say, “Come.” And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price. (Iz 55,1; J 7,37; Zj 21,2; Zj 21,6; Zj 21,9)18I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book, (Dt 4,2; Dt 12,32; Př 30,6)19and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
