1  Vešel opět do synagógy; a byl tam člověk s odumřelou rukou. 2  Číhali na něj, uzdraví-li ho v sobotu, aby jej obžalovali. 3  On řekl tomu člověku s odumřelou rukou: „Vstaň a pojď doprostřed!“ 4  Pak se jich zeptal: „Je dovoleno v sobotu jednat dobře, či zle, život zachránit, či utratit?“ Ale oni mlčeli. 5  Tu se po nich rozhlédl s hněvem, zarmoucen tvrdostí jejich srdce, a řekl tomu člověku: „Zvedni ruku!“ Zvedl ji, a jeho ruka byla zase zdravá. 6  Když farizeové vyšli, hned se proti němu s herodiány umlouvali, že ho zahubí.  7  Ježíš se svými učedníky se uchýlil k moři. Šlo za ním množství lidí z Galileje; ale i z Judska, 8  Jeruzaléma, Idumeje, ze Zajordání a z okolí Týru a Sidónu přišlo k němu veliké množství, když slyšeli, co všechno činí. 9  Požádal učedníky, ať pro něho připraví loď, aby se zástup na něho netlačil. 10  Mnohé totiž uzdravil, proto se ti, kdo trpěli chorobami, tlačili k němu, aby se ho dotkli. 11  A nečistí duchové, jakmile ho viděli, padali před ním na zem a křičeli: „Ty jsi Syn Boží!“ 12  On však jim přísně nakazoval, aby ho neprozrazovali.  13  Vystoupil na horu a zavolal k sobě ty, které si vyvolil; i přišli k němu. 14  Ustanovil jich dvanáct, aby byli s ním, aby je posílal kázat 15  a aby měli moc vymítat zlé duchy. 16  Ustanovil těchto dvanáct: Petra – toto jméno dal Šimonovi – 17  Jakuba Zebedeova a jeho bratra Jana, jimž dal jméno Boanerges, což znamená ‚synové hromu‘, 18 Ondřeje, Filipa, Bartoloměje, Matouše, Tomáše, Jakuba Alfeova, Tadeáše, Šimona Kananejského 19  a Iškariotského Jidáše, který ho pak zradil.  20  Vešel do domu a opět se shromáždil zástup, takže nemohli ani chleba pojíst. 21  Když to uslyšeli jeho příbuzní, přišli, aby se ho zmocnili; říkali totiž, že se pomátl. 22  Zákoníci, kteří přišli z Jeruzaléma, říkali: „Je posedlý Belzebulem. Ve jménu knížete démonů vyhání démony.“ 23  Zavolal je k sobě a mluvil k nim v podobenstvích: „Jak může satan vyhánět satana? 24  Je-li království vnitřně rozděleno, nemůže obstát. 25  Je-li dům vnitřně rozdělen, nebude moci obstát. 26  A povstane-li satan sám proti sobě a je rozdvojen, nemůže obstát, a je s ním konec. 27  Nikdo nemůže vejít do domu silného muže a uloupit jeho věci, jestliže toho siláka dříve nespoutá. Pak teprve vyloupí jeho dům.  28  Amen, pravím vám, že všecko bude lidem odpuštěno, hříchy i všechna možná rouhání. 29  Kdo by se však rouhal proti Duchu svatému, nemá odpuštění na věky, ale je vinen věčným hříchem.“ 30  To pravil, protože řekli: „Má nečistého ducha.“  31  Tu přišla jeho matka a jeho bratři. Stáli venku a vzkázali mu, aby k nim přišel. 32  Kolem něho seděl zástup; řekli mu: „Hle, tvoje matka a tvoji bratři jsou venku a hledají tě.“ 33  Odpověděl jim: „Kdo je má matka a moji bratři?“ 34  Rozhlédl se po těch, kteří seděli v kruhu kolem něho, a řekl: „Hle, moje matka a moji bratři! 35  Kdo činí vůli Boží, to je můj bratr, má sestra i matka.“

1 Again he entered the synagogue, and a man was there with a withered hand. (Mt 12,9; Mk 1,29; L 6,6) 2 And they watched Jesus,[1] to see whether he would heal him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him. (L 11,54; L 14,1; L 20,20; J 8,6) 3 And he said to the man with the withered hand, “Come here.” 4 And he said to them, “Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill?” But they were silent. (L 14,3) 5 And he looked around at them with anger, grieved at their hardness of heart, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out, and his hand was restored. When the great crowd heard all that he was doing, they came to him. Then indeed he may plunder his house.
