DAVID PŘED SAULEM PRCHÁ - — Davidův útěk k Samuelovi - Jónatan se za Davida marně přimlouvá; Saul mu znovu usiluje o život. Míkal mu dopomáhá k útěku.
1 Saul promluvil se svým synem Jónatanem i se všemi svými služebníky o tom, že by měl být David usmrcen. Saulův syn Jónatan si však Davida velice oblíbil.2 Proto Jónatan Davida varoval: „Můj otec Saul usiluje o to, aby tě usmrtil. Tak se měj prosím ráno na pozoru. Schovej se a zůstaň v úkrytu!3 Já vyjdu a postavím se vedle svého otce na poli, kde budeš ty, a promluvím o tobě se svým otcem. Když něco zjistím, povím ti to.“ 4 A Jónatan se za Davida u svého otce Saula přimlouval. Řekl mu: „Ať se král nedopustí vůči svému služebníku Davidovi hříchu! Vždyť on se proti tobě neprohřešil a jeho činy jsou tobě k užitku.5 Vlastní život nasadil a zabil Pelištejce. Hospodin tak připravil veliké vysvobození celému Izraeli. Viděl jsi to a radoval ses. Proč by ses měl prohřešit prolitím nevinné krve a Davida bezdůvodně usmrtit?“6Saul Jónatana uposlechl. A Saul se zapřisáhl: „Jakože živ je Hospodin, nebude usmrcen.“7 Jónatan tedy zavolal Davida a pověděl mu všechna tato slova. Nato Jónatan přivedl Davida k Saulovi, aby stával před Saulem jako dříve. 8 Ale vypukla opět válka. David vytáhl do boje proti Pelištejcům a připravil jim zdrcující porážku, že se před ním dali na útěk.9 Jenže zlý duch od Hospodina zase napadl Saula, když seděl ve svém domě. Měl kopí v ruce a David hrál na citeru.10 Saul chtěl Davida přibodnout kopím ke stěně. Ten však před Saulem uskočil, takže Saul zabodl kopí do stěny. David té noci utekl a unikl. 11 Saul vyslal k Davidovu domu posly, aby jej střežili a Davida ráno usmrtili. Ale Davidova žena Míkal mu to oznámila. Řekla: „Jestliže se ti nepodaří zachránit se v noci, budeš zítra mrtev.“12 Míkal spustila Davida oknem a on prchl pryč a unikl.13 Pak vzala Míkal domácího bůžka, položila na lože, do hlav položila chumáč kozí srsti a přikryla pokrývkou.14 Když Saul vyslal posly, aby Davida jali, řekla: „Je nemocen.“15 Saul vyslal posly znovu, aby se na Davida podívali. Řekl: „Přineste ho na loži ke mně, abych ho usmrtil.“16Poslové přišli, a hle, na loži domácí bůžek a chumáč kozí srsti v hlavách.17 Saul se na Míkal osopil: „Proč jsi mě takto obelstila? Pustilas mého nepřítele, aby unikl.“ Míkal Saulovi odpověděla: „On mi vyhrožoval: Pusť mě, jinak tě usmrtím.“ 18 David uprchl a unikl. Přišel do Rámy k Samuelovi a oznámil mu všechno, co mu Saul provedl. Pak šel se Samuelem a usadili se v prorockém domě.19 Tu bylo Saulovi oznámeno: „Hle, David je v prorockém domě v Rámě.“20 Saul vyslal posly, aby Davida jali. Ti spatřili sbor proroků v prorockém vytržení a Samuela stojícího jako představeného nad nimi. Vtom spočinul duch Boží na Saulových poslech a také oni upadli do prorockého vytržení. 21 Oznámili to Saulovi a on poslal další posly, ale také ti upadli do prorockého vytržení. Poslal posly ještě potřetí, ale i ti upadli do prorockého vytržení.22 Šel tedy do Rámy sám. Když přišel k té veliké cisterně v Sekú, otázal se: „Kde je tu Samuel a David?“ A dostal odpověď: „V prorockém domě v Rámě.“23 Šel tam, do prorockého domu v Rámě, ale i na něm spočinul duch Boží, takže dál šel v prorockém vytržení, až přišel do prorockého domu v Rámě.24 Také on si svlékl šaty a také on upadl před Samuelem do prorockého vytržení. Celý den a celou noc ležel nahý. Proto se říká: „Což také Saul je mezi proroky?“
1And Saul spoke to Jonathan his son and to all his servants, that they should kill David. But Jonathan, Saul’s son, delighted much in David. And if I learn anything I will tell you.”4And Jonathan spoke well of David to Saul his father and said to him, “Let not the king sin against his servant David, because he has not sinned against you, and because his deeds have brought good to you. (Gn 42,22)5For he took his life in his hand and he struck down the Philistine, and the Lord worked a great salvation for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood by killing David without cause?” (Sd 9,17; Sd 12,3; 1S 11,13; 1S 17,49; 1S 28,21; 1Pa 11,14; Mt 27,4)6And Saul listened to the voice of Jonathan. Saul swore, “As the Lord lives, he shall not be put to death.” (Rt 3,13)7And Jonathan called David, and Jonathan reported to him all these things. And Jonathan brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as before. (1S 16,21; 1S 18,2; 1S 18,13)8And there was war again. And David went out and fought with the Philistines and struck them with a great blow, so that they fled before him.9Then a harmful spirit from the Lord came upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand. And David was playing the lyre. (1S 16,14; 1S 16,16)10And Saul sought to pin David to the wall with the spear, but he eluded Saul, so that he struck the spear into the wall. And David fled and escaped that night. (1S 18,11; 1S 20,33)11Saul sent messengers to David’s house to watch him, that he might kill him in the morning. But Michal, David’s wife, told him, “If you do not escape with your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.”12So Michal let David down through the window, and he fled away and escaped. (Jz 2,15; Sk 9,24; 2K 11,33)13Michal took an image[1] and laid it on the bed and put a pillow of goats’ hair at its head and covered it with the clothes. (Gn 31,19)14And when Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, “He is sick.”15Then Saul sent the messengers to see David, saying, “Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may kill him.”16And when the messengers came in, behold, the image was in the bed, with the pillow of goats’ hair at its head. (1S 19,13)17Saul said to Michal, “Why have you deceived me thus and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” And Michal answered Saul, “He said to me, ‘Let me go. Why should I kill you?’” (2S 2,22)18Now David fled and escaped, and he came to Samuel at Ramah and told him all that Saul had done to him. And he and Samuel went and lived at Naioth. (1S 1,19)19And it was told Saul, “Behold, David is at Naioth in Ramah.”20Then Saul sent messengers to take David, and when they saw the company of the prophets prophesying, and Samuel standing as head over them, the Spirit of God came upon the messengers of Saul, and they also prophesied. (Nu 11,25; 1S 10,5; 1S 10,10; Jl 2,28)21When it was told Saul, he sent other messengers, and they also prophesied. And Saul sent messengers again the third time, and they also prophesied. (1S 19,20)22Then he himself went to Ramah and came to the great well that is in Secu. And he asked, “Where are Samuel and David?” And one said, “Behold, they are at Naioth in Ramah.” (1S 19,18)23And he went there to Naioth in Ramah. And the Spirit of God came upon him also, and as he went he prophesied until he came to Naioth in Ramah. (1S 18,10)24And he too stripped off his clothes, and he too prophesied before Samuel and lay naked all that day and all that night.
