Blahoslavený muž, kterýž se bojí Hospodina, a v přikázaních jeho má velikou líbost.2Mocné na zemi bude símě jeho, rodina upřímých požehnání dojde.3Zboží a bohatství v domě jeho, a spravedlnost jeho zůstává na věky.4Vzchází ve tmách světlo upřímým, milostivý jest, milosrdný a spravedlivý.5Dobrý člověk slitovává se i půjčuje, a řídí své věci s soudem.6Nebo nepohne se na věky, v paměti věčné bude spravedlivý.7Slyše zlé noviny, nebojí se; stálé jest srdce jeho, a doufá v Hospodina.8Utvrzené srdce jeho nebojí se, až i uzří pomstu na svých nepřátelích.9Rozděluje štědře, a dává nuzným; spravedlnost jeho zůstává na věky, roh jeho bude vyvýšen v slávě.10Bezbožný vida to, zlobiti se, zuby svými škřipěti a schnouti bude; žádost bezbožníků zahyne.

Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.2His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.3Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.4Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.5A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.6Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.7He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.8His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.9He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.10The wicked shall see it , and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Selig der Mann, der den HERRN fürchtet
und sich herzlich freut an seinen Geboten. (Ž 1,1; Ž 128,1)2Seine Nachkommen werden mächtig im Land,
das Geschlecht der Redlichen wird gesegnet. (Př 20,7)3Wohlstand und Reichtum füllen sein Haus,
seine Gerechtigkeit hat Bestand für immer. (Ž 128,2)4Im Finstern erstrahlt er als Licht den Redlichen:
Gnädig und barmherzig ist der Gerechte. (Ž 97,11; Ž 116,5)5Glücklich ein Mann, der gnädig ist und leiht ohne Zinsen,
der nach dem Recht das Seine ordnet. (Jb 29,12)6Niemals gerät er ins Wanken;

(Ž 1,2; Př 20,7)2Sein Geschlecht wird gewaltig sein im Lande; die Kinder der Frommen werden gesegnet sein.3Reichtum und Fülle wird in ihrem Hause sein, und ihre Gerechtigkeit bleibt ewiglich.4Den Frommen geht das Licht auf in der Finsternis, gnädig, barmherzig und gerecht.5Wohl dem, der barmherzig ist und gerne leiht und das Seine tut, wie es recht ist!6Denn er wird niemals wanken; der Gerechte wird nimmermehr vergessen.7Vor schlimmer Kunde fürchtet er sich nicht; sein Herz hofft unverzagt auf den HERRN.8Sein Herz ist getrost und fürchtet sich nicht, bis er auf seine Feinde herabsieht.
